Chi Yue lifted her up, "He has sothing to deal with, if you miss him, you can give him a call."
Fu Mianmian raised the hand wearing the phone watch, found Fu Rongyin’s number, but stopped at the last mont.
"What’s wrong?" Chi Yue noticed sothing off about her, "Are you not happy?"
"I still won’t call. Zhan Mobai said daddy doesn’t co ho because he has to make money, and if they stayed ho every day, they wouldn’t earn any."
Chi Yue couldn’t help but laugh and cry, so she tapped her little nose, "It seems that Xiao Bai has taught you quite a bit."
Thinking of that sulky kid who, when silent, looked just like Zhan Qing, but when he smiled, he looked more like Lin Wanyun, sunny and handso.
However, since he usually kept a stern face, she had only seen him smile when he played with Zhan Mobai and Fu Mianmian.
What Chi Yue didn’t know was that even Lin Wanyun saw Zhan Mobai’s smile rarely, and if he smiled at ho, the Zhan Family could be happy for many days.
As soon as Zhan Mobai was ntioned, Fu Mianmian imdiately put Fu Rongyin out of her mind and hugged the watch to call him.
Seeing this, Chi Yue walked over and sat down on the sofa.
Chi Jianshan had been watching Chi Yue for a long ti, restraining himself several tis from interrupting her and the child’s conversation until finally finding a break, he asked, "Did he ntion how long he would be in Beijing this ti?"
"Not sure, what’s up?"
"Yueyue, if there are problems between you two, he shouldn’t have gone to Beijing at this ti."
Chi Yue glanced at him, "You didn’t use to say that."
Chi Jianshan also realized his mistake, "I used to think it was fine for a man to strive outside, but then you had a miscarriage and he ca back; I thought he wouldn’t leave again. Who knew he barely stayed a few days before leaving... Yueyue, seeing how often you two are apart, I won’t speak for him anymore."
"I understand."
"Let’s see if he can co back on ti this ti. If he does, let this go. If it’s like last ti, Dad will stand up for you and let you get a divorce."
Chi Yue looked at Chi Jianshan anew, "I thought you would never let divorce him in this lifeti."
"That was before. People change, and Dad wants you to be happy."
Chi Yue nodded, thinking of Qi Hongwen.
If he was Bai Qing’s friend, Chi Jianshan should know him, right? But then she thought, they had t, and it seed like neither had recognized the other, so she dismissed the idea of asking him.
Three days later, Chi Yue still hadn’t received any ssage from Fu Rongyin.
Chi Yue felt unexpectedly calm, thinking it was ti for a resolution.
Chu Shuo found her before she got off work, and the two exchanged glances. Chi Yue smiled first, "Are you serious?"
"Do I look like I’m joking?"
Chi Yue pondered for a mont, "Alright, but I have to divorce Fu Rongyin first. Once I have the divorce certificate in hand, I can help you without any psychological burden."
Chu Shuo smiled, "Do you have to take acting so seriously?"
"I don’t want any future regret or for my daughter to grow up under others’ judgnt, so no, not even for acting."
"Okay, leave it to . When Fu Rongyin cos back, I’ll arrange to et him and settle this."
"Good, you’re not allowed to go back on your word."
As her words fell, her cellphone rang.
It was an unfamiliar number. Chi Yue felt it seed familiar, but without thinking too much, she answered, only to hear Zhan Youyou’s voice on the other end, "Chi Yue, he won’t be coming back. I’ll have the divorce agreent sent to you. And don’t harbour any thoughts about remarrying."
