Chi Yue sighed with relief.

When Nan Bingyu saw Chi Yue had found a male companion, she beca anxious and was just about to strike up a conversation with a forr suitor when Xi Yihang erged from the side, "Xiao Yu, I don’t have a female companion tonight."

Nan Bingyu: "..."

Xi Yihang, disregarding everything, took her to the side. She looked to Chi Yue for help, but Chu Shuo said, "It’s alright, there are many people here, Xi Yihang won’t do anything to her."

Chi Yue, rembering what Xi Yihang had done to her in the past, still couldn’t help but worry, "Is it really okay?"

"It won’t be, trust . Co on, I’ll take you sowhere."

Chu Shuo led Chi Yue to the second-floor balcony and magically produced two glasses of red wine.

Chi Yue took one and sipped lightly.

Chu Shuo smiled, "Aren’t you afraid I added sothing?"

"You wouldn’t."

"You seem quite trusting of ."

Chi Yue said, "If I didn’t trust you, I wouldn’t have co here with you. Chu Shuo, Miss Leng is getting engaged."

Chu Shuo slightly startled, said indifferently, "Congratulations, she is finally getting married."

Chi Yue had been observing his expression, but ultimately, she couldn’t make anything out and couldn’t help feeling it was a pity.

Just then, Chu Shuo’s phone rang. He glanced at it, his brow furrowed slightly, "I need to take this call."

On the spacious balcony, Chi Yue was left alone.

She looked down at the lawn below, where groups of people were chatting and laughing. A breeze blew by, and she unexpectedly felt a sense of relief.

Suddenly, the sound of leisurely footsteps interrupted her thoughts.

Chi Yue turned around and saw a cold, dignified man standing not far behind her, his deep eyes full of emotions she couldn’t comprehend.

Several months had passed since they last t, and he had beco even more reserved and steady than before, with an innate temperant and the experiences of a leader that added an indescribable, casual laziness to his deanor.

Only then did Chi Yue realize she had been staring at him for a long ti. She silently shifted her gaze back to the previous view, though her heart was no longer as serene as before.

In just two or three seconds, he had moved to stand beside her.

Without saying a word, he managed to disturb Chi Yue’s heart as if a thousand troops were galloping through it.

Chi Yue didn’t know how long it had been, but with Chu Shuo still not back, she couldn’t stay calm any longer. She tilted her head slightly, "Do you need sothing?"

On hearing this, the man turned his head, "What do you want to say?"

"If you don’t need anything, could you please leave? I’m afraid my companion might misunderstand."

Fu Rongyin’s dark eyes deepened, "He’s not coming back."

Chi Yue frowned, "What did you do to him?"

Fu Rongyin didn’t answer her but instead said, "Your lawsuit for divorce failed."

Chi Yue was startled.

It had been almost three months since she returned, and she had indeed forgotten about this matter.

She had submitted evidence of Fu Rongyin and Lu Nanxi’s flirtation during the lawsuit. If it were a matter of broken affection, the court should have supported it.

However, Fu Rongyin said, "The evidence you submitted was fake, including the photographs."

Chi Yue was taken aback.

Fu Rongyin looked into the distance, "So, we are still not divorced."

The turn of events was so abrupt that Chi Yue was at a loss for words for quite a while.

"Chi Yue, I will not agree to divorce you."

In that mont, the pain she had sealed deep in her heart surged, and all Chi Yue wanted was to flee from his presence.

And she did just that.

She walked down to look for Nan Bingyu, but after searching everywhere, she couldn’t find her. She then dialed Nan Bingyu’s number, only to find that the phone was turned off.

Chi Yue also called Chu Shuo, but the phone just kept ringing with no one answering, so she had to give up.

Just then, Fu Xingchuan’s voice sounded next to her ear, "Sister, looking for Chu Shuo? I saw him leave a while ago, in quite a hurry."
