Yolanda Greenwood was packing things with Little Ella when Cooper Coldson’s call ca in.
"Hello?" Yolanda answered curiously.
"Mom!" Little Gabriel’s voice was a bit excited. "Dad and I are outside the door!"
"Ah? Outside?" Yolanda was slightly surprised.
"Is it brother and Uncle Coldson?" Little Ella ran happily to the door. "I’ll open it for them."
The door opened, and sure enough, Cooper and Little Gabriel were standing outside, both holding dinner in their hands.
"Why are you guys here?" Yolanda put away her phone. "Ella and I are tidying up things, the house is a ss, co in quickly."
"Dad and I ca to help." Little Gabriel insisted on carrying things himself, not letting Yolanda take them, "I can handle it."
Yolanda smiled and went to take things from Cooper’s hands.
"I’m okay, this hand is fine." Cooper said with a smile.
"Oh, mom, don’t bother, let them show off a bit." Little Ella said with a cheeky grin.
Yolanda shook her head helplessly. She originally planned to take Little Ella out to eat later, but now, they would eat at ho.
"Alright, let’s eat first, and pack up afterward." She imdiately got busy.
Little Gabriel and Little Ella played in the living room while Cooper followed to help in the kitchen.
"No need to help, you should go out." Yolanda looked at his still immobilized arm, "Really, there’s no need, if you pull at the wound again, it won’t be worth it."
"It’s okay, I’ll be careful." Cooper insisted.
Yolanda sternly said, "Why are you so stubborn? Just go and wait when you’re told!"
Little Gabriel suddenly appeared at the kitchen door, "Dad, you should listen to mom, don’t make her upset."
With one sentence, both of them blushed.
"Alright then, call if you need anything." Cooper turned and left.
Yolanda shook her head, splashed her face with cold water, then resud her tasks.
Actually, there wasn’t much work. She just needed to put the packed items on plates and bring them out.
Quickly, it was ti to eat.
Cooper looked at the four of them sitting together for the first ti without anyone else around, and he felt particularly happy.
"Is there any wine?" he suddenly asked.
"Wine?" Yolanda nodded, "There is so, but with your wound... can you drink?"
"Just a little, I’m happy today." Cooper pleaded, looking at Yolanda.
"Mom, bring it out," Little Ella also spoke on Cooper’s behalf, "Look, Uncle Coldson is yearning for it, it’s pitiful."
Yolanda chuckled and returned with the wine, pouring a little for both Cooper and herself.
Raising her glass first, Yolanda smiled and asked Cooper, "Tell , what’s the happy occasion, what are we celebrating?"
Cooper looked at her with slightly wet eyes, not speaking for a mont.
Yolanda quickly averted her gaze and awkwardly said, "I know, celebrating Ella and I moving out, leaving the house empty! Alright! Cheers!"
She quickly clinked glasses with Cooper and was about to finish her drink.
"Celebrating..." Cooper finally spoke, "celebrating the four of us, the first ti, just the four of us, having a al together!"
Yolanda felt a pang in her heart and noticed a tear fall as Cooper tilted his head to drink. She also felt a bit upset.
After sipping her own wine, she couldn’t help but add, "What’s the big deal? In the future... there will be plenty of such opportunities."
"Really?" Cooper looked at her excitedly.
"Ah?" Yolanda realized she might have misspoken and quickly stamred, "I suppose, if everyone is free, we can gather, it’s no big deal."
She picked up so food for Little Gabriel and Little Ella, "Eat up."
During the al, the two little ones chattered non-stop, and Yolanda and Cooper occasionally exchanged a few words, making for a very holy al.
After dinner, Cooper helped clean up a bit more.
"Alright, that’s about it, there wasn’t much to begin with." Yolanda smiled gratefully, "You didn’t have to go out of your way."
"We wanted to," Little Gabriel said happily, "as long as we can be with mom and sister, we’re willing to co."
Little Ella made a funny face, "Brother is clingy, so embarrassing!"
"Ella, don’t say that!" Yolanda frowned.
The two children imdiately ran off to play again.
Yolanda and Cooper sat on the sofa.
"Cooper," Yolanda started, "so things, I think it’s better to clarify now."
Cooper nodded, "Go ahead."
"It’s like this, before I regain my mory..." Yolanda apologized with a smile, "I don’t think I’ll consider anything with you for now..."
"I understand." Cooper nodded again, "I have no other demands, just like today, being able to have a nice al with the family, I am grateful, as for anything else... I can wait, no matter when, as long as you say we’re good to go, I’ll take action."
Yolanda chuckled, "Cooper, you don’t have to be like this, it’s been a long ti, we’ve both changed a lot, maybe you can try with soone else..."
"No, apart from you, no one else will do." Cooper stood up looking very serious, "But if you et soone who makes your heart flutter, you can try."
Yolanda couldn’t help but laugh, "You’re quite generous."
"Not really," Cooper lowered his head, innocent-faced, "I just hope that if we can end up together, we’ll be each other’s most steadfast and only choice."
Yolanda raised an eyebrow, "So you’ve already made up your mind about ?"
Cooper nodded.
"Then in the past..." Yolanda quickly changed the subject, "let’s not talk about the past. Okay, I rember what you said."
That evening, Cooper and Little Gabriel did not leave.
Little Gabriel and Little Ella slept with Yolanda, while Cooper slept alone in another room.
The next day, Cooper asked Richard Reyes to bring two people over to help Yolanda move.
Daisy Dawson found a really nice new place, a two-bedroom, though not large, it was more than enough space for Yolanda and Little Ella, with a spare small bedroom to accommodate occasional guests.
When Cooper arrived at the new place, he was picky about the small bedroom, so much that Daisy couldn’t help but ask Yolanda, "Sister Yolanda, is the small bedroom... prepared by President Coldson?"
"Of course not." Yolanda helplessly dragged him out, "Alright, I’ve bought this house, you don’t need to say anything more."
"Bought it?" Cooper was slightly surprised, then imdiately changed his tune, praising the house as perfect, saying, "Though small, it’s well-equipped," making both Daisy and Yolanda laugh despite themselves.
In the evening, Cooper and Little Gabriel dawdled and stayed over again.
At night, Yolanda was awakened by a dream; in it, she saw Cooper and the late convict lissa Greenwood intimately together, while she beca the unloved third party!
