Serena Seward and Yolanda Greenwood also imdiately noticed that there was a fruit knife on the table Adam Sterling was approaching.
"Cooper, watch out!" Yolanda was terrified, and her first reaction was to shout at Cooper Coldson.
Cooper turned his head and looked at her, "Don’t co in!"
"How can this be happening?" Yolanda was really scared, tears unconsciously flowing out, "Teacher, what should we do? Will sothing happen?"
Serena Seward’s face was equally pale. Even though she had witnessed many scenes of murder cases, it was her beloved student inside now, and she was still sowhat flustered.
She didn’t quite understand why Adam Sterling wanted to kill Adrian Sterling. Was it just because of the childhood abuse?
It didn’t make sense. If Adam Sterling was very afraid of Adrian Sterling, he wouldn’t have evolved to the point of wanting to kill him. There were definitely other factors in between.
Serena Seward held Yolanda’s hand, trying to reassure her, "Don’t be afraid. Nothing will happen, nothing will happen!"
Both of them stared unblinkingly at their phones, watching the situation inside.
After Cooper Coldson entered the villa, he imdiately locked the door. He didn’t want Yolanda to co in, afraid that the chaos would hurt her.
By this ti, Adam Sterling had picked up the fruit knife and was walking towards Adrian Sterling.
"You... what are you doing?" Adrian Sterling obviously didn’t expect Adam Sterling to have the courage to kill him, a child once under his thumb. How dare he think to kill him?
The more scared he was, the more aggressive his shouting beca, "You want to kill ? Want to kill your old man? Fine, go ahead. I want to see what you’re capable of!"
Seeing Cooper Coldson coming in, he beca even more arrogant, "President Coldson, you ca at the right ti. Be a witness for us, father and son, and see what a good son I raised, a cowardly son who ran away for more than twenty years and cos back just to kill his father. Watch closely!"
"Adam! Calm down!" Cooper ignored Adrian Sterling and instead walked towards Adam, "Yolanda is waiting for you outside, and Ella is waiting for you at the kindergarten to pick her up. You can’t ss around!"
Adam Sterling paused, turning to look at Cooper, "You will take good care of them."
"No, I can’t." Cooper shook his head, "Adam, the one Yolanda loves now is you, and Ella only recognizes you as her dad. I can’t do it. I can’t replace you."
He walked over step by step, "Adam, listen to , put down the knife. It’s not worth sacrificing the rest of your life for such a person. Not worth it."
"You don’t understand, you don’t understand." Adam shook his head unconsciously, "You don’t know. You don’t know anything!"
"Adam, calm down!" The distance between them ant that if Adam took action, Cooper had no chance. He couldn’t stop him.
"Let him kill, and see if he dares!" Adrian Sterling continued to provoke.
Adam Sterling, with red eyes, looked over. He had been waiting for this day for twenty years. He had never been afraid of Adrian Sterling.
Last night, what Serena Seward didn’t know was that under hypnosis, Adam saw Adrian Sterling and killed him. He hated him and hated his once-cowardly self more.
"You should have died long ago. My cowardice allowed you to live twenty more years!" Adam raised the knife in his hand.
"Adam, no, Adam!" Cooper watched as Adam really lunged at Adrian Sterling without any hesitation and rushed forward.
Adrian Sterling was terrified. He didn’t expect Adam to really try to kill him. In a panic, he hurried to run for his life. Seeing Cooper pouncing over, he imdiately pushed Cooper aside and turned to run outside.
Adam was almost insane, the fruit knife plunged into Cooper’s shoulder. With red eyes, he was about to pull out the knife, "Kill, Adrian Sterling must die."
Cooper was in so much pain that cold sweat flowed, but he still held onto Adam’s hand, refusing to let him draw the knife.
"Adam, calm down, think of Yolanda, think of Ella, they need you, they all need you!"
"Let go!" Adam roared, "Let go!"
"I won’t, I can’t!" Although Cooper was pale from blood loss, he still stubbornly wouldn’t release Adam, because he knew if Adam killed soone, the ones who would suffer the most would be Yolanda and Ella, and he didn’t want them to suffer.
Outside the villa, Yolanda and Serena Seward were also terrified.
Seeing the shocking blood, Yolanda was the first to react, going to find the servant.
"Open the door! Open the door!" she said shakily, "Quick, there’s so much blood, he’ll die."
"Miss, this door is an armored door. How can we break it down?" The servant was frightened by her deanor, unaware of the situation inside, and asked in fear, "Who... who is bleeding?"
"Cooper, Cooper Coldson!" Yolanda turned and ran to the door, banging on it wildly, shouting, "Adam, open the door, Adrian Sterling, open the door!"
"You don’t need to shout. This door is soundproof. They can’t hear you inside." Upon hearing it was Cooper bleeding, the servant imdiately pulled Yolanda to the back, "There’s a back door, we can go in."
Serena Seward imdiately called 911 and 120 ergency services, praying they would arrive soon.
Inside the villa, Cooper’s entire shoulder had gone numb, and his consciousness started to blur. He saw Adrian Sterling sitting down on the floor and helplessly reminded him, "Open the door, run!"
Adrian Sterling was really frightened out of his wits. Hearing this, he scrambled to open the main door and fled without looking back.
"Don’t... don’t hurt Yolanda!" After saying this, Cooper passed out.
This was the only thing Yolanda heard as she entered through the back door. Almost in tears, she ran over, forcefully pulling Adam away.
"Cooper!" She shakily knelt beside Cooper, the air filled with the pungent sll of blood, and Cooper’s body was also covered in blood. She wanted to wake him up but didn’t dare touch him.
"Cooper, wake up, wake up!" She gently patted his face, "Call an ambulance!"
She turned back and shouted at Adam, "Call an ambulance!"
By now, Adam had returned to his senses, seeing Yolanda anxiously worried about Cooper, knowing that, in reality, he had already lost long ago.
"The ambulance is on its way." Serena Seward entered through the main door, glancing at Adam, "Adrian Sterling ran away."
Adam pressed his lips tightly, a storm of hatred in his eyes.
"Why did you want to kill him?" Serena Seward asked, "Adam, what really happened back then?"
Adam trembled all over. After a while, he spoke with difficulty, "He deserves to die, he deserves to die!"
He helplessly knelt to the ground, his voice tinged with a sob, "I... I witnessed... him... he beat my mom to death!"
Serena Seward and Yolanda were both startled. It turned out Adam wasn’t afraid of facing Adrian Sterling, but rather, recalling the self that ran away.
Twenty years, Adam’s heart probably felt that both he and Adrian Sterling deserved to die. Adam had long decided that upon seeing Adrian Sterling again, it would be their final confrontation.
Serena Seward hugged Adam with sorrow, gently saying, "It’s okay, it’s not your fault, child, it’s not your fault! Adrian Sterling will be punished as he deserves!"
But if Adam hadn’t run away back then, the end result would have just been one more child’s death.
