Cooper curled his lips slightly, "Of course, we’ll continue."

"Cooper, it’s the best if you can trust . Really, all of this is Yolanda Greenwood’s sche." lissa Greenwood imdiately let out a sigh of relief. No matter what would happen next, she just wanted to get through the day safely and complete her wedding with Cooper.

"Oh, another guest has arrived." Cooper suddenly glanced toward the entrance of the venue.

lissa quickly turned her head. She saw an elderly man wearing an old police uniform appear. The man looked about fifty or sixty years old, and he had a crippled leg supported by a cane.

She had never seen this old policeman before. She imdiately asked, "Who is this? Did we invite him?"

Isabella Ross furrowed her eyebrows, "Why does he look familiar?"

In the guest section, Yolanda Greenwood and Lola Gold also noticed the man. It was apparent that he wasn’t a wedding guest.

"Ms. Ross, don’t you rember ?" The old policeman stepped onto the stage and stood upright in front of Isabella.

Isabella felt increasingly that the man looked familiar. But who could he be?

The old policeman shifted his gaze to Cooper. "Kid, twenty years have passed. You’ve grown so much already?"

Isabella suddenly rembered, "You’re Officer Dawson, the one who handled the kidnapping case on the island years ago?"

"Ms. Ross, you’ve got a great mory. I thought you might have forgotten all about it." Officer Dawson chuckled briefly before turning his attention to lissa Greenwood.

lissa instinctively took a step back.

"Are you the brave little girl from back then?" Officer Dawson asked proactively.

Isabella widened her eyes in surprise, "lissa... was the little girl from back then?"

She had only known that Cooper insisted on marrying lissa, but she’d never understood the reason behind it. She had even assud that Cooper simply fell in love with lissa since they were dating back in college.

lissa instinctively nodded her head. She was frightened and clueless about what the policeman knew or why he had shown up.

Could he have been summoned by Yolanda and her group?

"I rember your na was Yolanda Greenwood!" The old policeman spoke again.

"No, you’re mistaken. My na isn’t Yolanda Greenwood," lissa instinctively shot a glance at Cooper before quickly correcting Officer Dawson, "My na is lissa Greenwood. You’ve got it wrong."

Officer Dawson frowned. "Did I get it wrong? That shouldn’t be! Even after all these years, I’ve always rembered how brave you were back then. I’ve told my children and grandchildren about you. It couldn’t be a mistake!"

lissa lowered her head, "You’re really mistaken. My na is lissa Greenwood."

"No, no, that’s not right." Officer Dawson said suddenly. "I rember the little girl back then had a birthmark behind her ear, but you don’t. You aren’t the brave little girl from back then; I rember her clearly."

The old policeman sighed softly, "Back then, after the Coldson Family left, family mbers of both Greenwood households surrounded you, comforting you, saying you were scared. anwhile, the little hero who lay unconscious on the bed was completely ignored."

He turned to Cooper, "Kid, all these years, haven’t you found your little hero yet?"

"I have." Cooper lifted his gaze and looked toward the guests’ seats. "Yolanda Greenwood, you’re not coming up to say hello?"

Yolanda Greenwood froze in shock. She stood up, bewildered, and asked Lola Gold, "Lola, what’s going on? Who brought this Officer Dawson here?"

"No idea, but who cares? He’s clearly here to expose lissa." Lola Gold smiled slyly with excitent, "Yolanda, hurry up and go to the stage."

Yolanda nodded slightly and walked up the stage step by step. She greeted the old policeman proactively, "Uncle, it’s been a long ti."

Officer Dawson’s eyes imdiately reddened, "It’s you, it’s you. I recognized you the mont I saw you. You’re the little hero from back then. How have these years treated you?"

"Fine," Yolanda gave a faint smile. Back then, Officer Dawson had provided her with warmth, but she could never find him again after returning ho.

Her heart pained at the sight of Officer Dawson’s leg. "Uncle, I visited the island after I grew up, but you were no longer there."

"Right, I was reassigned later." Officer Dawson smiled gently. "Good child, you’re truly a good child."

Isabella stared at Yolanda incredulously, "It was you who rescued Little Noah and Cooper back then?"

This matter was sothing that had always lingered deep in her mind.

Back then, after Noah and Cooper were rescued and returned, both children had suffered severe trauma, especially Noah, who stopped eating and drinking entirely.

At that ti, Isabella was terrified, rushing to take the children away from the island at once.

Later, she had heard Cooper ntion repeatedly that a little girl had saved them. However, with Noah’s worsening condition, Isabella had no energy to pay attention to other matters.

Soon after, Noah left the family decisively, and this incident beca taboo in the Coldson household, turning into a knot in Isabella’s heart.

She now looked at Yolanda with an emotional gaze, "Why didn’t you say anything? Why didn’t you tell us?"

If she had known Yolanda was the little girl from back then, perhaps she wouldn’t have treated her so harshly all these years. Perhaps things wouldn’t have turned out like this.

Yolanda smiled faintly and shook her head. So things change with just a single turn of events.

The incident on the island had beco a scar for both her and the Coldson Family. But she hadn’t anticipated that soone might exploit that scar to harm others further.

Her eyes turned cold as she looked at lissa. "So, what’s the truth? Back then, on the island, was it you who saved them, or was it ?"

"I don’t know. I was so young back then, how could I rember everything clearly?" lissa’s gaze flitted about as she tried to explain, "The story about rescuing them was told to by my mom and Eliana Reed. Yes, they told the story, and I believed it to be true."

She turned to Cooper. "Cooper, trust . This old policeman who suddenly appeared must have been invited by Yolanda and her group. He’s here to slander . Even if it turns out I wasn’t the one who rescued you, then my mom and Eliana Reed must have lied to . It has nothing to do with ."

She muttered repeatedly to herself, "Yes, it has nothing to do with , nothing to do with ."

"What about infertility then?" Cooper finally spoke, his voice ice-cold and piercing.

lissa’s body swayed. "Cooper, what do you an? Infertility... The foreign specialist examined ; I didn’t lie about that."

Cooper took out his phone and played a recording of a conversation, revealing the truth about the infertility topic.

Sunny Coldson and the specialist had conspired to fabricate results for lissa, proving that it was all part of her self-directed lies.

lissa was completely dumbfounded. She stared at Cooper incredulously, "You knew all along? So you never intended to marry , did you? So this wedding today..."

She suddenly laughed bitterly, glancing between Cooper and Yolanda. "You two had planned it all out from the beginning, didn’t you? To ruin completely?"
