Cooper Coldson left the room and went downstairs to the kitchen.

Isabella Ross imdiately noticed sothing was off with his face and asked in a lowered voice, "What’s wrong?"

"It’s nothing." Cooper avoided Isabella’s scrutinizing gaze, hands in his pockets, leaning against the cabinet.

He didn’t want to return to his room, nor did he want to go to the living room; his only option was to hide here.

Isabella frowned, "Did your brother hit you?"

In this family, no one except Noah Coldson dared to lay hands on Cooper.

Cooper remained silent, "Just leave it alone."

"What did you do?" Isabella grew increasingly curious. Cooper’s attitude towards his brother wasn’t like this before; clearly, Cooper felt he was in the wrong.

Cooper beca impatient, "Can you stop asking?"

"Is it because of Yolanda Greenwood?" Isabella still pressed on.

Cooper turned and left imdiately.

Isabella knew her guess was correct, sighed, and shook her head helplessly.

Noah was already in the living room, Sunny and others were chatting, and he sat alone on the sofa, engrossed in his phone.

When Cooper passed by him, he glanced unintentionally and discovered that Noah was looking at baby products.

He froze on the spot, his entire being in a daze.

Noah sensed his presence behind him and put away his phone, then got up to watch Jaxon Greenwood and others play chess.

"Cooper, what happened to the corner of your mouth?" lissa Greenwood rushed over, concerned, "Did you fight with soone?"

Cooper hadn’t seed this way when he ca back; had a fight just happened upstairs?

Her thoughts wandered to the departing Noah; was it him who had hit Cooper?

If it was Noah, lissa instantly thought of Yolanda; this must have sothing to do with her.

"It’s nothing." Cooper snapped back to reality, looking even more irritable. He sat on the sofa, silent, making lissa and others reluctant to speak.

When Yolanda ca down, Isabella then called everyone to eat.

The table was full of dishes, very rich and appealing, just the sight of which could whet one’s appetite.

Yolanda sat next to Noah, with Cooper and lissa across from her.

Isabella sat at the head position.

"Let’s consider this al our New Year’s reunion dinner, let’s have a toast first," she suggested proactively.

Yolanda furrowed her brow, she was pregnant and couldn’t drink alcohol, but just then, a servant handed her a glass of orange juice.

"Thank you." Yolanda nodded.

lissa and Sunny caught that, jealousy flashing in their eyes.

After the toast, Isabella called everyone to eat, "We have a fuller gathering this ti, so I’ve prepared a variety of dishes. Let know which you like so we can prepare more of it in the future."

She looked at Yolanda, "Yolanda? Do you like these dishes? Or let know if you want anything else, and I’ll make it for you next ti."

"Big sis," Sunny said with a smile, "aren’t you being a little too obvious with your favoritism? lissa and I are going to be jealous."

Isabella glared at her, "You are nothing like Yolanda. You’re the Coldson Family; Yolanda is a guest."

This left Sunny speechless.

The al was quite warm and pleasant. Throughout, Noah kept serving food to Yolanda; they interacted like a couple in love.

More frustrating for Cooper was that Yolanda didn’t give him a single glance the entire al.

After the al, Yolanda wanted to help clean up, but Isabella refused.

"You, child," Isabella sighed softly, "There were so things in the past that I did wrong, please don’t take them to heart."

She forced a smile, "The old man’s health is getting worse, and he misses you, try to visit him more when you have the ti."

"Rest assured, aunty, I’ll co." Yolanda stopped Isabella, "And, about the past, it’s all behind us. I’ve forgotten it all."

Isabella paused her step, chuckled lightly, and then left.

"Yolanda?"

Yolanda turned around, Jaxon called her.

She approached in a few steps, "Uncle?"

"Let’s et tomorrow," Jaxon said in a low, cautious voice.

Joy sparked in Yolanda’s heart—had Jaxon found sothing?

"Okay." Yolanda nodded in agreent.

The two spoke as if exchanging secret information and quickly parted ways.

Upon leaving, Yolanda saw Sunny, believing that word would soon reach lissa.

As expected, Sunny imdiately went to find lissa.

"Your dad is so interesting, why is he sneaking around to et with Yolanda? Do they have so kind of unspeakable secret?"

lissa frowned, "You saw them whispering to each other?"

Sunny smiled.

lissa didn’t speak. Had Jaxon and Yolanda acknowledged each other behind her back and were now plotting sothing?

She couldn’t bear to continue the thought, feeling chills run down her spine.

Seems like she needed soone to keep an eye on Jaxon.

Yolanda stayed a while longer before leaving with Noah.

"Brother, you don’t have to go with , after all, it’s New Year’s Day; you should stay in the old house." Yolanda said sowhat helplessly in the car.

"We’ve had our reunion dinner, the holiday is basically over." Noah asked eagerly, "Do you have plans for tonight?"

"Tonight?"

"Yes." Noah smiled, "Tonight, Lola is also coming back, and there’s Adam Sterling, who just texted saying how lonely and cold he is, that everyone else is gathering, and he’s left to freeze in a hotel."

"I actually forgot about Dr. Sterling." Yolanda felt a bit embarrassed, "So tonight, how about we have hot pot at our place?"

"Sounds good, I’ll drop you off first and then pick up Adam to go shopping for the ingredients." Noah seed to be full of energy.

"No need, I’ve been back and forth all day, I’ll go with you guys." Yolanda wanted to help as well.

"Don’t bother, go rest, we’ll be right over," Noah insisted on dropping Yolanda off.

That night, Lola Gold returned, and the four of them enjoyed the hot pot, with the other three having so drinks, excluding Yolanda.

The next day, Adam Sterling was the first to return to the military base, and Yolanda went to et with Jaxon.

The two arranged to et at a teahouse. As they just entered, soone sent pictures of them entering the teahouse to lissa.

"Damn, they’re still eting in secret?" lissa clenched her teeth.

"Have they really acknowledged each other?" Eliana Reed was with her, "Are they plotting sothing? If they are recognized as family, and you get driven out of the Greenwood Family, then..."

Then lissa would receive so money but lose her inheritance rights as the head of the Greenwood Family.

She couldn’t let Yolanda replace her and beco Jaxon’s true heir. Even if they acknowledged each other, as long as the legal docunts weren’t corrected, she was still the rightful heir.

Thus, lissa quickly resolved one thing—she couldn’t give Jaxon the chance to make things right.

A wave of madness swirled in her eyes as she looked at Eliana and said coldly, "Jaxon can’t stay!"
