Noah Coldson felt helpless and had to tell Adam Sterling about what had just happened.

"I find it very strange," he admitted. He couldn’t understand, "Shouldn’t she imdiately go to my brother and explain the truth?"

Adam Sterling frowned; indeed, the love and hate in the wealthy circles were even more lodramatic and horrifying than he had imagined.

His tone carried a bit of concern, "She is also protecting herself."

"What?" Noah didn’t understand, "Isn’t exposing that woman the best way to protect oneself?"

Adam shook his head, fearing that Yolanda Greenwood’s psychological issues had worsened.

He rarely explained with such patience, "The experiences of Yolanda Greenwood’s childhood, the oppression and disdain from her biological parents, left severe scars in her heart."

He sighed softly, "If it were soone else, they might have fallen into severe depression by now, but her resilient nature and the support from so people around her gave her strength."

"People around her?" Noah nodded affirmatively, "Indeed, she has a good personality, she must be quite likable."

"But do you understand that no one can replace parents, especially during childhood?" Adam continued, "So, the love from the people around her helped Yolanda hide those scars until she t the person she loved."

His tone intensified to stress, "This is the second most important person in her life."

Noah dared not think further, it seems that Yolanda had been hurt and denied by the person she loved most as she grew up.

He now understood what Adam ant by protection, "She is afraid...even if she tells the truth, she might not be the one who gets chosen."

He had never felt such heartache for soone, and Noah punched himself in frustration.

If only he hadn’t thrown a tantrum back then, if they hadn’t left that island but stayed to appreciate what Yolanda had done, would things have been different?

Right then, Noah truly despised Eliana Reed, this wicked woman who didn’t deserve to be a mother.

"What should we do now?" At this point, he could only seek Adam’s help.

Adam tugged at the corner of his mouth, his tone carrying an almost imperceptible bitterness, "It seems that Yolanda really is your weak spot."

He continued, "Don’t pressure her to make a decision for now, let her calm down on her own, and I will talk to her again tomorrow."

"Are you willing to continue helping?" Noah was very grateful, standing up and clapping Adam on the shoulder, "Thanks, if you ever need anything, just say the word."

"Rough!" Adam looked disdainful, "Alright, your business is done, you can get lost."

Noah thanked him a few more tis and really did leave.

Adam slamd the door behind him, gritting his teeth, "This guy is truly heartless at his core."

But he must help Yolanda, because this girl truly deserved it.

The next day, Adam showed up exactly on ti, to which Yolanda could only laugh bitterly.

"Dr. Sterling, I’m really okay."

Compared to yesterday, she was clearly more wary and resistant to Adam’s treatnt today.

Adam didn’t mind, "Are you mad at ? Because I told that guy Noah what you said yesterday?"

"No," Yolanda forced a smile.

Adam quirked his mouth, "You clearly are mad, but let explain myself, I wouldn’t consider you just a patient..."

Yolanda looked puzzled.

Adam continued, "Otherwise, I wouldn’t have discussed these matters with Noah. Keeping a patient’s confidentiality is a basic principle for a psychologist."

Hearing this, a smile indeed appeared on Yolanda’s face, and she seed a bit more relaxed.

Adam quickly got to the point, "Yolanda, what do you think makes a good parent?"

"Parents?" Yolanda hadn’t anticipated Adam would bring up this topic.

Adam glanced at her belly, "You’re going to be a mom, haven’t you thought about it?"

Yolanda didn’t answer imdiately; it wasn’t that she hadn’t thought about it, but already from a very young age, until the events of her fourth year, she believed she could never be a mother, so she had stopped thinking about it for a long ti.

However, as she grew up and beca more independent in thought, influenced by Gemma Morgan, she would occasionally revisit these thoughts.

Parents were so important to a person’s developnt.

She answered without hesitation, "Real parents who love their child."

Adam’s heart tightened instantly; this answer confird what he had said about Yolanda’s parents never loving her.

He quickly composed himself and asked with a smile, "Indeed, what kind of child would you like to have?"

That was sothing Yolanda hadn’t thought about much; she paused to think for a while before responding with a smile, "Actually, no matter what, I will love them."

"Even if they do sothing wrong? Lie, steal soone else’s possessions..."

Before Adam could finish, Yolanda imdiately shook her head, "No, that wouldn’t be right; I would teach them to at least be honest and kind."

Adam nodded affirmatively, "Then if he knows that soone deceived another person and it’s about a very important matter, would you want him to tell the truth?"

"About a very important matter?"

"Yes."

Yolanda was about to answer but then suddenly understood what Adam ant, "Did my brother tell you everything?"

"You really are smart," Adam chuckled, "Yolanda, if we step back from this matter and don’t consider your role in it, just as an observer, shouldn’t the person who lied be exposed?"

"But I’m not an outsider," Yolanda was clearly still struggling.

Adam reminded her, "Then let ask you, if Noah’s brother knew the truth and wouldn’t agree to the divorce anymore, what would you think? Could you imdiately reconcile with him?"

"Of course not," Yolanda replied without hesitation, too much had happened between her and Cooper Coldson.

She had thought about it all night; even knowing Cooper had been deceived, she still couldn’t forgive him imdiately.

"So maybe like this," Adam offered his suggestion, "Since whatever choice the other person makes won’t change your decision, why should you care about his choice?"

"You might as well see this as a test for him, rember, it’s a test for him, not for yourself."

Yolanda clenched her fists slightly.

Indeed, she seed to care more about how Cooper would choose, so she didn’t have the courage to tell the truth.

"Dr. Sterling, you are right."

Her gaze beca firm, "What that woman has done is too despicable, even if I consider myself an outsider, I should expose her."

Adam gently patted her shoulder, encouraging her, "Go ahead and do it, be the Hero once more, I believe the reward won’t be late this ti."

He had heard from Noah that Cooper might have been touched, but if the results weren’t as they wished...

Adam looked at Yolanda worriedly before he left.
