Three worried cries echoed on the battlefield.
Mirelle was filled with anxiety, whereas Curtis was filled with panic. As for Ellie, she felt an existential crisis.
Her aura soared, and the nearby mana seed to be rushing toward her.
"Don’t you dare harm Big Brother!" Ellie screeched and dashed ahead. Despite the explosive speed, those with discerning eyes could tell she was still too slow.
"Stand behind ," Claudia struggled to place herself in front of Leonard.
The Restoration Potion could restore her injuries, but it cannot help her recover the lost mana and stamina. She had long been exhausted in the confrontation with Redflow.
"I swear... People really take for a flower vase." Leonard mused and pulled Claudia behind. He ignored her confused look as he raised his right hand and made a finger gun gesture.
His gesture left others bewildered, especially Redflow.
’What is that?’ Redflow was amused by this so-called struggle. He continued to advance but made sure to hold his guards as a preemptive security asure.
When Leonard noticed the enemy had no intention of stopping, he quickly angled his finger gun at Redflow’s forehead.
Since he could never condense mana properly, he decided to concentrate them all on his fingertip. As long as he minimized the scale and compressed it to a small radius, he should be able to manage the profound mana.
A few seconds later, Leonard fired the condensed mana.
"Bang!" He shouted unconsciously. In the blink of an eye, a straight, illuminated light shone brightly.
Redflow perceived the attack. He quickly used the bandages to shield himself in response while continuing his advancent.
Don’t underestimate the bandages. They were all built with so of the durable materials.
Redflow was confident in his choice of weapon and thought it could deflect a single trajectory mana strand.
Unfortunately, to his dismay, the mana strand not only penetrated his prized bandages, but it also accelerated in speed.
BAM!
By the ti Redflow ca to his senses, he felt a piercing pain in his forehead. He wanted to say sothing, but was incapable of opening his mouth.
In the end, he collapsed to the ground. The mana penetrated his forehead and continuously invaded his internal organs. Blood spilled everywhere.
There was a trace of unwillingness in Redflow’s eyes. Had he known Leonard was capable of such a lethal strike, then he would have made another decision.
Alas, there was no pill for regret.
’To think I would lose to a greenhorn brat...’ Redflow’s eyes remained wide open as he no longer showed any sign of life.
With Redflow’s impromptu death, the scene stunned and shocked everyone present. They all shifted their attention to the culprit: Leonard.
’Hmph, so what if you’re powerful? As long as you co close and let headshot you. You can only be a dead man.’ Leonard sneered inwardly. The shot he fired might not be enough to kill Redflow imdiately, but the mana would surely corrode his entirety.
According to Caroline’s research, his mana was unique and had special qualities.
Depending on his will, it could either beco a supportive type or an offensive type. Naturally, there were more mysteries yet to unravel. But for now, Leonard managed to complete one of his experints.
"Please forgive for allowing this treacherous person to co close to you." Amidst Leonard’s pondering, Curtis knelt on one knee and apologized.
Mirelle didn’t say anything and simply rushed to his side to check on him.
Only a few seconds later did she heave a sigh of relief.
"There are no injuries on him," Mirelle confird his condition to Curtis.
"Big Brother, that was amazing!" Nobody knew when, but Ellie was already behind Leonard with a bright smile. Her previous chillness and seemingly aloof aura had completely vanished.
While everyone seed concerned about Leonard’s well-being, Claudia cautiously approached Redflow’s body.
She kept her distance and repeatedly made a series of strikes toward his lifeless body.
The actions might seem excessive to the nearby crowd, and even a gross desecration of a corpse.
However, this was only Claudia being extrely careful to ensure Redflow was dead.
Only when Redflow was sliced and cut into multiple sections did Claudia stop her actions. Her face and clothes were stained with blood. Despite the bloody ss, she appeared unbothered and nonchalant.
She turned around and wanted to report the situation to Leonard until she noticed the crowd was staring at her in admiration.
"Marvelous!" Soone among the crowd shouted and began clapping.
"What a decisive confirmation in the kill!" Another person exclaid and praised Claudia’s action.
Rather than cursing or accusations of being disrespectful, what Claudia received was unanimous praise and critical acclaim.
’Right... this is the gathering place for the most immoral people.’ Claudia was reminded of how this area operated and felt disdained. She was blindsided for a brief mont because of Ellie’s innocent appearance.
However, when she recalled the explosive speed from Ellie, she realized that appearance was indeed deceiving.
Amidst the cheering, a group of people wearing the Tiger, Bear, and Snake Faction emblems, respectively, erged.
"The area is restricted temporarily. Please leave the premises!" They relayed thunderously.
Soon, the crowd exited the premises without any argunt or complaints.
They were graced with the full showti, so it was only right to leave now that it was over.
"Hah, today was really an exciting mont."
"I know, right. That old bastard was occupied with his wife, so I’ll definitely rub this event on his face later."
"Agreed! I’ll make sure they cry their guts out for missing this. I can’t wait to see their faces turning green or purple!"
As the crowd scattered to other premises or returned to the surface level, Leonard’s group was promptly surrounded.
Curtis, Mirelle, and Claudia swiftly assud a defensive stance around Leonard. They were wary of these newcors’ actions.
anwhile, Leonard remained aloof and ignored their defensive reaction.
Instead, he found an empty chair to sit on with his legs crossed.
"Here’s your at, Big Brother." Ellie was also unbothered by the situation as she kindly shared her snack with him.
