Chapter 736: A Promise Of Tomorrow [Part 2]
Just like a dam that had finally broken, Alex and Fran’s feelings for each other finally burst out like a raging torrent.
After sharing a lot of very passionate kisses, the young man slowly laid her down on the bed before taking off the towel covering her body.
“Ahh…”
A gasp escaped from Fran as Alex’s lips lightly grazed her neck as his hands crawled to her chest, kneading her softness gently.
“D-Don’t leave a mark there…” Fran whimpered as Alex repeatedly kissed her neck.
He was tempted to ignore her request. But since he didn’t want to annoy her, he obeyed and only left a trail of kisses heading downward.
From her neck, to her shoulder, down to her collarbone.
And finally, on her chest.
Earlier, Lulu joked that Alex would be eating some cherries tonight.
Well, she wasn’t wrong.
“Hah…”
Another gasp escaped Fran’s lips as Alex’s hands and lips made her feel something—emotions that made her heart overflow with love.
She subconsciously wrapped her arms around his head, pulling him closer, not wanting to let him go.
And for Alex, this reaction from her only made him more determined to make their first night a truly memorable night.
Fran could feel Alex’s love and care through his gentle actions, despite the burning heat that was starting to spread from their bodies.
A heat that made her heart tremble as his touch and actions gradually became bolder.
The young lady didn’t resist his advances. In fact, she even embraced and encouraged him to show his love to her in every way possible.
After regaining memories from her past life, Fran realized that she and Alex had been born in this same era so they could continue the love that had abruptly ended due to circumstances outside their control.
Back then, they fought side by side until the very end.
Back then, they never had the chance to dream about tomorrow.
But now, they did.
Alex lifted his head and looked into her eyes.
For a few seconds, neither of them spoke.
“Fran. Please don’t hide from me again, my beloved fairy,” Alex said softly. “I don’t want to lose you. I want to be by your side. I want to have kids with you. I want to grow old with you. I want to be with you forever. “
Fran’s eyes immediately became moist as she held back the tears that were spurred by Alex’s words that came from his heart.
“I had my fill of hide and seek for a lifetime,” Fran replied as she held back the tears in her eyes. “This time, I will no longer hide. I also want to be with you Alex. I want to give birth to your children. I want to grow old with you. Please stay with me forever. Don’t leave me alone.”
Alex remembered how Fran had spent hundreds of years alone in the forest. She was all on her own, watching over the graves of her panions.
He used his thumb to wipe away the tears that had fallen from her face.
All the sadness, all the loneliness that she suffered, he wanted to wash them all away.
In this lifetime, he would not let her experience those same feelings again.
“Fran…”
Fran’s body shuddered as Alex finally became one with her.
The pain of losing her maidenhood couldn’t even pare to the pain she felt after losing Alex in the past.
This pain she felt right now was proof that they had reunited once more. And this time, they shared a promise of tomorrow.
A love that spanned for hundreds of years was finally rekindled once more.
As their feelings for each other took over, Fran felt like she was a ship sailing through a storm.
The ups and downs made her feel as if she was going to capsize.
But Alex’s hands… His firm hands held her in place, making sure that she would stay afloat and not go anywhere.
Then, it came.
A heat that made her body shudder as Alex marked her from within.
He poured every drop of his love deep inside her.
For a long while, neither of them spoke.
The room had no other noise but the sound of their ragged breathing and the gentle rustling of the bedsheets.
Alex carefully gathered Fran into his arms and held her close while still connected with her.
Neither of them wanted to let go.
After waiting through lifetimes to find each other again, simply being together felt like a dream.
Fran rested her head on his chest, listening to the steady rhythm of his heartbeat.
It was a sound she once believed she would never hear again.
Back then, all she had left were the lonely graves of his friends, as well as bittersweet memories that remained even after the passing of centuries.
But now, Alex was here.
Alive.
Warm.
Real.
Tears quietly slipped from the corners of her eyes.
However, this time, they weren’t tears of sadness.
Alex felt the droplets on his skin and gently brushed them away.
“Why are you crying again?” Alex asked. He looked sad because he thought that Fran was remembering her sad past.
“These are happy tears,” Fran replied. “I am truly happy right now. Alex, thank you for loving me.”
The young man lowered his head and kissed her forehead in response.
“Thank you for being here, Fran. I won’t let you go, no matter what.”
“Un. You do that.”
Fran’s lips curved into a smile.
The two remained wrapped in each other’s embrace, talking quietly about the future they wanted to build together.
A big house.
Children running through the yard.
Peaceful days without battles or farewells.
Simple dreams that once seemed impossibly far away.
Yet now, those dreams were finally within reach.
As the night slowly passed and exhaustion began to claim them, Alex tightened his embrace around the dwarf who had captured his heart across two lifetimes.
“Good night, my fairy,” Alex whispered in her ear.
Fran snuggled closer to him. “Good night, Alex.”
For the first time in hundreds of years, both of them fell asleep without fear of tomorrow.
Because they both knew. That once they opened their eyes and greeted the next day, this dream of theirs would still continue in their reality.
