In a middle of the hall, entranced in stunning azure glow. A lone knight stood.

Doned in a black armour from head to toe, that glowed in the blue light like that of dragon scales, it stood with a dignity and presence that made Zyrus heart race unknowingly.

It wore a cape of pure crimson on its back, a symbol of a mighty dragon flying in the air claiming the throne nad skies drawn on it.

Similarly, it also wore a helt made up of sa material with only two holes in it for the vision, while a majestic sword hung on his side as if waiting to be unleashed pulsing with power.

Zyrus heart chilled, he froze like a statue not even moving and inch. However, then ca a thought into his mind.

"Oh, dude co on, ain’t no way that is going to be my trial, right?" He spoke ekly.

The system as if listening to him also spoke however this ti instead of his head, it’s voice rang in the whole hall like that of a trumphet announcing war.

[Welco Successor, this is your trial to claim the legacy of the being who once stood at the pinnacle of strength, who once claid the sky as well as the land at the sa ti.

This is the start of your journey. The journey to beco that Pinnacle....This is your beginning...and from it you shall seek your end.. This is the...

The Apex’s Legacy]

[Quest has been recieved]

[Survive against the Knight of Lord.

Ti limit- 2 minutes

I...hope you stay alive.]

"What?" He tensed reading the ominous last words of the system. His head turned sharply towards the knight who bit by bit ca to life.

Veins like lines of red and purple shimred on the whole armour of knight, as for the first ti in decades it stirred awake from it’s slumber.

’Oh, I am fucked.’ Zyrus grimly thought.

Twin orbs of cold ruby ca to life as they burned with an intensity that made Zyrus breath hitch.

Then...

[1:59]

"Huh" Those were the sole words Zyrus could utter as the world around him turned fully upside down.

Bang

With a loud bang, he hit the walls behind him before he could even ascertain what had happened. Pain exploded like a dam being opened in his temples and at his back at the sa ti.

However, before he could even fully open his eyes. Zyrus saw fist flowing in his direction like that of a demon.

****

"Isn’t it too much." Anaerah spoke as she saw Zyrus being flown like a ragdoll by the Knight.

"It is." A deep voice spoke.

The owner of the voice, was the man who sat in front of her calmly, sipping tea from the cup like a sophisticated gentleman.

His hair was as white as snow while his eyes were a blend of gold and white that seed to look straight at soone’s soul.

He was an extrely good looking figure, however sothing about him felt hollow. The man hadn’t told her about his identity however she had inkling to who he was.

Anaerah and the mysterious man sat in a stark white room, seemingly made of nothing but of sothing at the sa ti.

Beside, them on the white wall like a movie projector a screen played. In it was of course, Zyrus.

They had been watching him from the beginning. Watching how he had showed vulnerability when alone, how he had angered and how he had crossesd the corridors.

"Then why aren’t you stopping it?" Anaerah spoke her gaze not even moving an inch from Zyrus.

"Because it isn’t in my control, lady of the fate." The being spoke simply smiling slightly.

"What do you an?" Frowning, she turned to him and asked.

"It ans exactly what i have said. It isn’t in my control. You see, The system it isn’t a simple creation. It is sothing that the world itself made... though let’s not talk about how i hacked it and used for sothing better." The man said with a smirk and then continued.

"So you can say it has a mind of it’s own. A mind which serves only one purpose- to make the Successor strong. It evaluates and does everything in it’s power to make the Successor face and overco challenges. So if the system had given him a mission, it is sothing that the Apex himself had willed it." He spoke keeping the cup down and turning his head to Zyrus.

"..." Anaerah kept quiet not knowing what to say. She had so much thoughts on her mind.

Though, she had maintained her calm about it but transmigration, a literal transmigration in a book she had once read, she couldn’t have even thought about it in her wildest dreams.

"By the way, Soul Bound of the successor. I am curious about how can you be so calm you know...you have beco a part of sothing that you couldn’t even imagine." The man asked.

"Well, to be honest I wasn’t much different from Zyrus when i got to know about it. I reacted in many different ways however i did all that while I was unconsciousnor or rather in a dream. Of course, I didn’t fully believe it at first." She stopped for a mont as if going back to the mont in the carriage then continued.

"However, when i woke up, seeing the sa face and sa carriage, i had to. Thus, i was able to react more calmly. Plus Elizabeth’s previous mories also helped, a noble’s decorum is certainly a brilliant thing." She said the last words with a slight smile.

"You truly are loved by Fate, huh. To think you get vision before you even transmigrate. I hope you will be of his help in this ardious journey of his." The man sighed wistfully.

Though just as he finished saying that, a loud sound ca from the screen. The fight has truly begun.
