Power stones people, Gim it.

---------------------------------

Rhaena brushed her palms together lightly, letting the last traces of the hologram fade. The hall was still captivated, attention fixed on her as if she had stitched every dinsion in the spire personally.

"Well," she said, "we’ve handled the structure, the floors, the sigils, the libraries, and the things you’re not allowed to touch. That brings us to the last bit."

She snapped her fingers.

A soft ripple passed overhead, and a dark rectangular plane unfolded like a sheet of glass in the air. Light bled across its surface, forming glowing lines of text.

"Last but not least," Rhaena continued, "the rules of the academy. A more complete and terrifying list will be available on the bracelet you’ll be given before you leave today. But since I know so of you are overly curious and others have questionable survival instincts—let’s go through the essentials."

Mini Rhaena reappeared, her small form flickering into existence beside the hologram. She straightened, raised her tiny hand, and the rules brightened.

Academy Rules (Basic Edition)

Respect Spatial Boundaries:

Do not attempt to activate sigils on floors or halls you are not authorized to access. The sigils will reject you. Repeated attempts will trigger disciplinary intervention.

No Unauthorized Dinsional Travel:

So dinsional corridors are restricted for safety or clearance reasons. Entering them without permission is prohibited.

Class Attendance:

When academic sessions begin, attendance for mandatory courses is required. Missing classes without valid reason will cost points.

No Combat in Restricted Zones:

Sparring is limited to designated arenas or training spaces. Duels outside permitted areas result in imdiate point deductions.

Respect Staff and Senior Students:

Harassnt, intimidation, or misuse of status is not tolerated.

No Tampering With Spatial Runes or Sigils:

This includes poking, scratching, redecorating, "seeing what happens," and all adjacent forms of foolishness.

Academic Integrity:

Cheating in exams, plagiarism, rune-forging for shortcuts, unauthorized use of skill modules, or any form of identity manipulation is forbidden.

Coliseum Protocol:

Challenges must be formally registered. Surprise ambush matches are banned.

Bracelet Responsibility:

Losing or damaging your bracelet is your problem, not the academy’s. Replacent fees apply.

Point Transactions:

Points can be traded, gifted, or contracted. All purchases must be made through authorized channels.

Dorm Regulations:

No live monsters, unstable artifacts, explosive research projects, or unsupervised magical experints inside dorm rooms.

Respect Academy Property:

Damaging floors, walls, spatial fraworks, or pocket-dinsion anchors is grounds for suspension.

Ergency Protocol:

If a spatial anomaly occurs, follow evacuation paths lit in blue. Do not run in the opposite direction "for fun."

As each rule was listed, Mini Rhaena pantomid beside it—shaking her head at unauthorized sigils, flailing at the thought of cheating, pretending to flee from a blue evacuation line. Students laughed under their breath.

Rhaena watched them with satisfaction.

"These," she said, gesturing, "will show up in full detail on your bracelet. And so of them—especially the ones involving disciplinary action—have entire pages dedicated to them. But for now, this is enough to keep you from accidentally getting yourself expelled in the first week."

The hologram snapped shut with a soft chi.

"Speaking of the bracelet..." Rhaena tapped her wrist. "Before you leave today, you’ll each receive one. When you put it on, you’ll be allocated one thousand points."

A soft wave of murmuring passed through the hall.

"I’ll leave you to figure out what that’s actually worth," she added. "Because trust —your understanding of money is about to be painfully redefined."

Seris whispered, "That sounds ominous."

Caelum replied, "Everything she says sounds ominous."

Rhaena continued, "And as for earning more points—you’ll find out sooner or later. Missions, tests, evaluations, competitions, research contributions... the list is long, and so opportunities will surprise you."

Mini Rhaena nodded sagely.

"Now," Rhaena said, clapping once, "I believe I’ve covered everything I’m supposed to cover. For this upcoming week—your decision week—you’re free to do whatever you want."

A few heads perked up at the word free.

"Yes, free," Rhaena emphasized. "No classes yet, no mandatory activities. The only thing you must do is decide your departnt by the end of the week."

She pointed toward the floor beneath them.

"Every day in this hall, two instructors will hold optional introductions. One for the Scholars Departnt in the morning, one for the Combat Departnt in the afternoon. They will explain the course expectations, role specializations, and what life is like in their departnts."

She shrugged lightly.

"Participation is voluntary, but I strongly advise it. The information you gain will help you make a much better choice. And an inford student is a less annoying student."

The crowd chuckled.

"As for the counseling, the staff at the reception would be more than welco to direct you."

"At the end of the week," she said, "all of you will return here for formal registration. Once that’s done—your academic life begins the very next day."

Rhaena raised a finger.

"During this week, the only accessible floors for you will be the first floor, the second floor, and the seventh floor. That’s it. No wandering to see if the fifth floor has better furniture. No exploring the top floors to see if they’re cooler. No testing access because you’re ’curious.’"

"With all that," Rhaena said, sweeping her arm dramatically, "we have co to the end of this little orientation of ours."

She stepped forward, expression bright and confident.

"I believe it’s question ti."

The hall erupted—not chaotic, but lively—as hands shot up across the rows. So students leaned forward eagerly; others looked hesitant but curious.

Rhaena pointed at the first raised hand she spotted.

"Yes, blue shirt in the third row."

A boy stood. "Um, Instructor—are the optional tutorials recorded in case we miss one?"

Rhaena nodded. "Yes. You’ll find recordings linked to your bracelet after the session ends. But don’t rely on that alone—attending in person lets you ask questions."

She pointed again. "Next."

A girl with bright red hair rose. "Instructor, how soon can we start using the Grand Library?"

Rhaena smiled. "Imdiately. As long as you have your bracelet on and don’t try to enter restricted sections."

Another question. "Are duels allowed during decision week?"

"Yes, but only in approved arenas. And no, you may not duel soone in the cafeteria."

More hands. The questions flowed naturally—curiosity, confusion, excitent. Rhaena answered each one with calm patience, slipping in witty remarks, small jokes, and the occasional mini-demonstration with the hologram.

Orion observed quietly, taking in every word, every rule, every structure of limitation and possibility.
