Chapter 146: Dragon-Blood Creatures?

Splash!

Most of the parts of the sea were peaceful.

However, tides were surging nonstop in a place about three hundred ters from the shore!

Pew!

Under the surface of the water, a battle between two species was happening!

Whoosh! Whoosh!

A Mirage Monster launched a sharp-edged round plate, which spun quickly, cutting the seawater apart and darting forth in a straight line!

Clang!

However, it failed to cut the target apart when it hit it, like how it cut the Sludge Monsters into halves.

That was because the Mirage Monsters’ opponents were creatures who had brown shells more than four ters in diater, heads that looked like crocodiles’, and seed like an enlarged version of snapping turtles from Earth!

Faced with the round plates from the Mirage Monsters, the enormous turtles simply retreated their limbs into their shells, and the sharp round plates were simply deflected by their shells!

What was slightly surprising was probably the environnt where the Mirage Monsters and the turtles were fighting.

It was a crystal palace that looked as if mirrors had been installed everywhere. The sharp-edged round plates that were knocked away by the turtle shells smashed a few crystal pillars and collapsed two walls.

Of course, it was not because the turtle shells could double the damage when deflecting the attacks; it was because the whole crystal palace was made of an illusionary mirage!

“I didn’t know that the Mirage Monsters’ nest was in this place!”

At a distance away from the crystal place, Ji Ye seed a little bit surprised by what he saw inside a hidden coral cave.

That’s right. The splendid crystal palace was exactly the Mirage Monsters’ settlent core.

Earlier, when Ji Ye killed the tiger-striped shark, he passed by this place but didn’t spot the settlent at all!

Clearly, this settlent should’ve been invisible in the water and could’ve only manifested when it was attacked by the enormous turtles!

“Master, when do we attack?”

Hiding next to him with his back lowered, and hiding both of them with the Dragon Tooth, Ruan Xiaoer was wearing the black shark-skin battle suit and holding the purple Tiger Shark Saber!

The periscope that was on his head allowed him to see the battlefield clearly. He was apparently eager to try!

Ruan Xiaoer was also wearing a mask on his face. The mask was made out of a Sludge Monster’s skin and could block seawater as well as absorb the air in it.

Therefore, he could talk even though he was in the water!

At this mont, five minutes had passed since Ji Ye was inford by the navy soldier.

But according to Ruan Xiaoer, this battle had been going on for almost half an hour.

The Mirage Monsters seed to be competing with the giant turtles for sothing, but they couldn’t gain advantages and had to expose their settlent.

That definitely gave human beings an opportunity to finish off the only alien species except for the Eagle n!

“Wait one more mont!”

Ji Ye shook his head.

Actually, he wasn’t too worried about the Mirage Monsters.

It was because, with the Flood Dragon Bloodline’s water-control ability, he could easily suppress the Mirage Monsters!

He didn’t have much Flood Dragon Blood earlier, but after accumulating it for so ti, he already had a huge amount in store.

It was even safe to say that as long as the settlent was located, he was confident in finishing off the Mirage Monsters whose population and average battle level weren’t high anymore!

Compared to the Mirage Monsters, the giant turtles, the other party in the battle, were the real targets he needed to consider how he should deal with.

Splash!

The Mirage Monsters revealed their settlent, whose pillars, walls, and floors could reflect rays of light like mirrors.

Together with their own mirage, they created all kinds of illusions. Hundreds of fake Mirage Monsters appeared on the battlefield as they tried to confuse the turtles!

However, that wasn’t very useful.

It was because their main ans of attack was their sharp-edged round plates, whereas those giant turtles had extrely thick shells.

Even when they were hit by the sharp-edged round plates, nothing but so shallow marks would be left!

Also, while those creatures should be turtles that lived in the sea, they could completely hide in their shells like the tortoises that lived on the land.

Furthermore, even the holes on their shells would be sealed the mont they moved back in, which made it barely possible for the Mirage Monsters to hurt them.

The giant turtles’ intimidating mouths, on the other hand, could kill Mirage Monsters easily when they craned their necks and bit onto the Mirage Monsters.

The only reason why the Mirage Monsters hadn’t lost yet was that they had set up a lot of defenses in their settlent.

Also, with the ability to create illusions with mirage, they could affect the turtles’ visuals.

But it certainly couldn’t work out in the long run because many Mirage Monsters had already run out of their mirage in the prolonged battle!

The giant turtles, on the other hand, finally demonstrated their offensive abilities after consuming the Mirage Monsters’ mirage with their unparalleled defense!

Splash!

Intense turbulences happened in the water around a turtle.

Then, it accelerated and threw itself into a Mirage Monster opposite it as if it were a cannonball!

Boom!

One room in the crystal palace was simply smashed by the turtle into a mirage!

A Mirage Monster that was hiding in the room was bitten by the turtle. After a crack, the slightly hard shell on the surface of the Mirage Monster was completely squished.

Then, the turtle simply sucked and swallowed the smooth flesh of the Mirage Monster.

“Huh?”

This room that this turtle collapsed wasn’t very far away from Ji Ye and Ruan Xiaoer’s hideout.

The mont the turtle accelerated, Ji Ye sensed vague waves that slightly resonated with the Flood Dragon Blood in his body.

“It’s the ability to control water currents, and it seems to be echoing with the Flood Dragon Blood!

“Is this another creature that’s related to the Flood Dragons?”

Ji Ye thought of sothing.

That was indeed a possibility. In ancient Chinese myths, crocodiles and turtles were all related to the dragons.

Furthermore, those enormous snapping turtles weren’t the only creatures that were related to the Flood Dragons!

On the ground of the room where the enormous turtle had just collapsed, Ji Ye, with his keen eyes, noticed an item that was almost transparent and looked like a bone several ters long.

Also, this bone had triggered a slight reverberation with the Flood Dragon Blood in Ji Ye’s body too!

“The Mirage Monsters really had a lot of privileges. They actually used the body of a Mirage Dragon as their settlent core!”

Ji Ye remarked with mixed feelings.

Then, his eyes glowed.

This was a creature at a Transcendent level. While most of the power in it must’ve dispersed, one of its teeth had already been refined by the Mirage Monsters into Extraordinary Rank-3 and Rank-4 equipnt, so what could the whole body of the Mirage Dragon be turned into?
