The night was quiet. Jin walked through the street alone; he didn't act together with the girls.
It was better this way. He planned to snatch one or two Excalibur fragnts for his personal use.
At first, Irina asked him to act together because there was no way he could find the Excalibur fragnt without them. She said that the Excalibur fragnts would resonate with each other once they were at a certain range, and that was what she relied on to find the stolen one.
But Jin refused. He certainly had more than it took to find it unless the Excalibur fragnt was already tainted or hidden by Magic. He wouldn't be able to feel it with Senjutsu in that case. It seed like the case with this one was like that.
Even when he walked around, he couldn't feel anything but Xenovia and Irina's energies coming from the park. It was always that park.
For the record, he couldn't feel their swords' energies for so reason.
"It's strange, but maybe that's how the sword works?"
Sothing strange happening around him wasn't sothing new. All he needed to do was to accept it and move forward.
The skills he shared with Kalawarner and Sona would certainly be put to good use. He believed they wouldn't use it like an idiot, putting them in danger, especially about the Power of Destruction. Even if they didn't want to, they should've felt sothing in the back of their mind and known how to use it.
It wasn't before long he felt sothing, a Devil. A familiar Devil he t at school, not a stray one. The one he felt was Kiba Yuuto, the only man in Rias' peerage. He was soone that Jin didn't know how to deal with, mainly because they had never talked with each other in private before.
Usually, he would only think, 'Oh, Rias is back already?' or sothing alongside the line.
But tonight was a bit more complicated than that. And the direction where Kiba Yuuto went was bad as well. He walked straight to the park where Irina and Xenovia were.
"Another problem Haaa" Jin let out a rare sigh as he began to walk in Kiba's direction. "At least I want peace tonight. I don't know how to contact Rias, so I assu Kiba doesn't know about the girls' existence either. They will fight as soon as they et, right?" He muttered.

It was just as he guessed.
Jin was certainly anticipating this. No, he had already known about the church's poor relationship with the Devils.
Hence, he started walking toward Kiba, trying to stop him if possible. But he made no effort to do that. Because he also wanted to observe what kind of reaction a Devil had when they t an actual exorcist wielding a Holy Sword in Kuoh Town. He hid behind trees and bushes, looking at the two sides that clashed.
It was dangerous and foolish, but Jin had already talked with Sona.
Kiba's position was a Knight. And from what he saw when they went to subjugate the Fallen Angel, the blonde haired boy was a swordsman. Jin wanted to see what kind of swordsmanship he showed when he clashed with Xenovia or Irina.
But, oh boy. He would never expect that kind of expression coming from Kiba, the one called the Prince of Kuoh. A hideous face filled with hatred. If Jin had to say it himself, the boy radiated an unusual amount of hatred. He felt his emotion through Senjutsu.
Clang! Clang! Swoosh!
"Tsk!"
Kiba was sent flying by the sheer force behind Xenovia's sword. They were not equal at all, especially in their swords.
"Devil. We are here for a serious reason. If you keep getting in our way, then I won't hesitate to cut you even if you are Gremory's servant."
Xenovia's threat didn't help to ease the situation at all. The girl had been really brazen. In Jin's observation, she was uptight and would not listen to soone else, putting her justice above all. In short, she was a headstrong girl.
Kiba would be in a disadvantageous position if they kept clashing. The blonde boy had a wry smile across his face, looking at his iron sword that got chipped after exchanging blows with Excalibur Destruction.
"As expected of a Holy Sword, I guess," Kiba muttered. His words were laced with hatred, especially when he muttered the Holy Sword part. "Let's try it again. This ti, I will use this. Sword Birth!"
He threw away his sword, then created anew from his hand and the ground. Nurous swords with ill-feeling sprouted out of the ground. Their shape and colors differ from each other, but all of them share the sa trait.
"Demon swords? I see. You have Sacred Gear, Sword Birth." Xenovia blurted. "But that won't be enough to defeat Excalibur Destruction and ."
"I know." Unexpectedly, Kiba agreed with Xenovia. Rias' Knight knew his ability better than anyone, but his feelings didn't change. "But that won't keep from destroying that sword." He pulled one jet-black sword nearest him and pointed it at Xenovia.
The blue-haired exorcist replied by moving her sword, pointing at him.
The spectator, Irina, looked at them restlessly. Their mission was supposed to find the stolen Excalibur fragnts, but why did they fight with the Devil instead? While it was true they weren't needed, and she didn't want to get involved with them, the Devil suddenly attacked them when he saw the Excalibur.
Jin also felt sothing strange from Kiba. What he felt was more than hatred. The usual smile that adorned the Kuoh's Prince was gone, replaced by a hard cold expression of a boy who wanted revenge. Yes, revenge.
He was familiar with it. He also had that look when he killed Raynare, making sure the Fallen Angel didn't ss with his family again. Looking at them made Jin reconsider his decision to observe. He needed to stop this now. This would turn ugly if he let this go a bit longer.
And so, before both sides clashed again, Jin walked out of the bushes while announcing loudly.
"That's enough. Both of you better stop here, or I will be forced to take action."
