Bikou looks back over his shoulder.

Pop Gulp~! I opened my cold can of coffee, and sipped it, then I heard footsteps...

Clop Clop Clop~! Hearing the sound of wood clacking on stone, I was looking for Vali, but when I saw who it was...

Spew~! I spat out my drink, barely missing the Monkey Youkai!

It was none other than Kuroka!

She just smiles at my reaction, probably hoping I spit my drink on Bikou's face instead.

And she does her cutesy paw-wave at , so I just wave back, and she said.

“I hear that you will be having a Rating Ga soon, and your opponent is the next heir of the House of Astaroth~nya.”

I just smiled, because this is a little like the ani... but with no Vali?!

"Yup, and I will kill him there, with or without Ophis snake in him!"

Kuroka just looks shocked to hear my cool words, so I continued...

She was expecting a whole different conversation tonight, not this easy going guy.

As I called Koneko to sneak out for the eting, I sat on the bus bench by the vending machine.

Kuroka looks at her companion, like she is dreaming how easy this is.

While we wait Kuroka sits right next to , and Bikou sips a can of tea and leans on the light pole...

He finally asks his question.

I don't know what will happen, but let's see Bikou squirm for a while.

(Phew! Sorry for the slower updates, but these chapters have all added anywhere from 200 to 700 extra words on average, and this one added 1000 alone! My 1st version of my first novel, made 3 years ago, was so badly written, that I am literally having to rewrite it to make it better. But for old readers, the extra content should be refreshing, and for new readers, be happy you didn't suffer through my first atrocity, lol!)
