When Nika got hurt, Uriel realized that there was more to the chief than t the eye. Even with Dash active, sohow he was able to bite Nika, but then it didn't make sense that he didn't dodge his fist. It wasn't speed, it couldn't be because, if it was, then they were screwed no matter what.
Trying to test his theory, Uriel ran at him without any planned move. All he needed to confirm his theory was to make contact with him. Instead of dodging, the chief took the kick in full, though sohow Uriel resulted wounded while the cannibal swallowed a gulp blood.
"Ouch! He... bit ?" Uriel wondered whether his own words were accurate or not. He couldn't see what happened, but the pain was real and so was the blood the chief was drinking.
"What is this? Your blood tastes different." The cannibal chief pondered whether it was 'good' or 'bad' different, but Nika took it as her cue.
One second she was behind Uriel, then the next she was right in front of him. She lifted her leg directly to the chief's jaw in an eighty degree angle and the powerful kick shook his face to the side. The man attempted to counter with a fist, but by the ti he regained his standing she had already disappeared into Uriel's shadow.
Little by little they overwheld the cannibal chief by taking turns in their attacks, though every hit that Uriel managed to land caused him more hurt than what he was able to inflict.
'Why isn't Nika being affected?' Uriel wondered. Every ti the cannibal drank so blood he seed to be healthier than before and Nika was the only one capable of even hurting him. Realizing that he was only getting in her way, he decided to use his magnum revolver and fired it point blank at the cannibal.
The bullet caused him much more pain than any of Nika's kicks and the enemy finally showed so pain in his face, though it only lasted until he was able to drink Uriel's blood again.
The blood loss was starting to affect him and he clumsily fired his gun at the man, with such bad luck that Nika received a bullet in the back.
"Watch that!" She scolded, but that short distraction was all the cannibal needed.
Powerful could only begin to describe the fist that ca directly towards Nika who couldn't hide within Uriel's shadow at the mont. Then, seemingly out of nowhere, ca Sam flying and pushed Uriel.
"Step aside!" With a clapping sound, Sam blocked the heavy hit with one hand and pushed the cannibal with the other. "Are you okay?" He said as he extended his hand to Nika.
"Yes, but your hand is bleeding." She nodded.
"This is nothing, I think he bit ."
"No, that's his trait. Whenever I hit him with my bare hands I get hurt, but when Nika kicks him using her boots she's unaffected. If you avoid making skin to skin contact you should be fine."
"But those are my boots!" Sam pointed at his bare feet. Your next chapter is on My Virtual Library Empire
"Then fight using a weapon, I don't know." Uriel shrugged, but the ti for planning finished as soon as the chief charged at them with a roar.
The bash that carried enough strength to break the white table to pieces, wasn't enough to make Sam budge an inch as he not only used his weight no counter it, he also applied flux energy into his earring, though instead of flying it helped him stand firm.
Nika quickly rushed in with a kick, followed with another. The swift motion of her legs made it seem as though she was a soldier marching at high speed and the rythmic sway of her hips srized Uriel who remained on the ground after being pushed. He kept trying to aim his revolver at the chief, but he decided against taking the shot unless his aim was optimal.
Sam didn't remain idle, instead, he baited the chief into attacking him as much as he could, only to dodge by a hair's breadth at the last possible ti thanks to his all seeing trait. While he couldn't cause any harm to the cannibal without getting hurt, by keeping him busy he left him open to Nika's onslaught.
"I yield!" The chief fell on his butt without a trace of his past arrogance. His face was swollen and he was covered in wounds and bruises.
Both Nika and Sam looked at each other, uncertain on what to do next, at the sa ti a grin was forming on the chief's face. He crawled up to the prisoner they brought as a gift and grabbed his feet, draining his blood and healing himself in the process.
"No!" Nika shouted, but before she could deal the finishing blow, a bullet pierced the cannibal's eye all the way through his skull causing him to fall limp on the ground.
"Why the hell did you do that for? We had their leader, we could have forced them to surrender." Sam yelled.
"He was healing himself, there was no choice!" Nika argued.
"There's no point, it's finished. We're done here," He said, his voice echoed in the silence of the vast cavern room. Guts and blood carpeted the place while only dusa and the werewolf remained on foot. "they're all dead."
Luna celebrated their victory with a roar that sent shivers down those present, friends and prisoners alike. dusa, however, broke down into tears as she ran to Uriel for comfort.
"I killed them, I killed so many of them." Contrary to appearances, dusa killed as many if not more enemies than the werewolf and each death weighed heavy on her heart.
"It's fine, you did what you had to. Besides, they weren't human anymore."
"You're just saying that to make feel better." She sobbed, but Uriel tapped on her shoulder prompting dusa to look around. Then, in front of everyone's eyes, all the bodies began disappearing just like cryptids did. Not only that, the faint glimr of flux orbs covered the entirety of the cave making it glitter under the dim light of the torches.
