"This is going to take a while, wait for in the lecture hall." Pangiotis said after making a brief pause from his call.

It was obvious by all the fuss the old professor was making that he wasn't simply asking for a flux orb. No matter how expensive they were in the eyes of a novice hunter, sothing like that was nothing but the tip of a hair compared to the funds allocated for research in campus.

Still, Uriel did as he was told and headed towards the lecture hall while crossing his fingers that his friends would figure out his ssage in ti.

After no more than five minutes, Pangiotis walked in along with Colonel Ethan Windfire, Tina Celes and a bunch of soldiers who were carrying the Apache tribalwear like it was made of glass.

"This is the student I told you about. His na is..." Pangiotis tried to introduce Uriel to Tina Celes who was acting as Piero Celes' representative because he forgot that they took the sa class together.

"Uri!" Tina gasped. "What are you doing here?"

"Should you really ask a question like that? I thought we had a deal."

"Tina, what is this... person speaking about?"

"It's... complicated." Tina lowered her gaze. Discover more stories at My Virtual Library Empire

"That doesn't matter! You said you could prove this artifact predates the Apache and I really want to see it." Professor Pangiotis was in such a joyful mood that he ignored the dense atmosphere entirely.

"Right," Uriel put his hand in his pocket and pretended to take out his swiss army knife while actually taking it out from his trait like usual. He then proceeded to make a deep but small cut on the ancient garnt sending everyone in the room into a fit of rage though the only one who was open about it was Pangiotis.

"What are you doing, you moron!" the professor exclaid.

"Did you bring the thing?" Uriel extended his hand. He wouldn't dare destroying such a precious artifact without a plan and his theory was that, if it belonged to Water warlock's civilization then it would be able to repair itself after crushing a flux orb nearby. Of course he wouldn't risk damaging his own relic and he took the chance to prove his theory with sothing that didn't belong to him.

If he failed, it would an that it wasn't one of the relics needed for opening the dungeon, but if he succeeded then it would prove in front of everyone present that he knew more than they did.

However, even if proving that the relic did, indeed, co from a ti before humanity existed would help further his research, the actual reason why he wanted to do it was only to gain ti so their friends could show up.

Pangiotis reluctantly handed Uriel the beast rank flux orb he got from his friend Professor Fermi and the young archaeology student crushed it near the tribal wear making it the second ti he broke sothing precious in the span of a couple minutes.

"This imbecile! I had enough of this nonsense. Miss Celes, please excuse my incompetent student, I'll make sure he's charged with destruction of private property and..." Pangiotis' words died in his mouth as the small torn in the buckskin dress repaired itself only seconds after crushing the orb.

"While this material isn't made of orichalcum, it is also capable of channeling flux. Not just that, it's also capable of absorbing 'substance' from flux orbs and perhaps, nearby cryptids."

"It seems you can be helpful after all," Ethan showed his teeth in what could barely be called a smile. "I'll make the arrangents to add one more person to our team."

"Not so fast!" dusa proclaid after slamming the door open. Her deanor and attire was nothing like during the weekend and her voice carried the authority only the heir of the Mapple corporation could muster.

"It's the giant!" Tina scoffed at the sight of dusa. "You shouldn't be here, this is a private eting."

"Actually, Miss Winona Works is entitled to being here as per our agreent." Seiren stated in a stern voice that soon shifted into one of shock. "You're that kid!"

"You're that thief!" Uriel and Seiren pointed at each other with their fingers, both of them unpleasantly surprised by the presence of the other.

"A thief!?" Seiren wanted to rebuke, but she swallowed her words after rembering that Jon took David Crockett's diary from him with her help. "Anyway, I'm now acting on behalf of the Mapple corporation and I'm here to ensure our interests are taken into consideration."

Tina was in utter disbelief. She couldn't believe that the girl who she hated the most in the world was part of the Works family and now she regretted treating her badly. As important as the Celes company was in their city, compared to the Mapple corporation they were nothing.

"Miss Winona, I didn't know your identity." She stuttered.

"Don't bother, I'm not here to make friends. I just want to see our agreent is respected."

"Of course! we will share the profit from the dungeon 50/50. Though we first need to find out how to open it."

"Uncle!" dusa called and a youthful middle age man walked in, soone who Uriel recognized as Jon Hunter the most reputable archaeologist in the world and the only person in the world Uriel hated to the point of wanting to kill him.

"You bastard!" Uriel gritted his teeth.

"Hi kiddo! Thanks for this." Jon showed David Crockett's diary with a shit eating grin.

"Professor Jon! I wasn't expecting to see you!" Pangiotis butted in.

"Hey, Pangiotis. How is life treating you these days?"

"Uncle, you two know each other?" dusa asked.

"Of course we do, he was my professor in oxford... and he failed ." Jon glared at the old man who seed to shrink under his gaze.

"I just wanted to teach you properly," Pangiotis replied embarrassed. "But I always knew you were going to achieve great things."

The unexpected arrival of the Mapple corp. representatives caused an upheaval and when things finally settled the room was divided into two factions. On one hand was the army on behalf of the Celes company, on the other was dusa representing the Mapple corporation and in the middle of everything, standing by his lone self, Uriel.
