Chapter 69: Last Raid: Lucien vs Onous

Blood spurted out.
Leo’s hands shot up, trembling as he grabbed the tail impaling him.

Onous couldn’t see the scene but just the noise and the stronger sll of blood made his heart skip a beat.

The green mist had completely covered the floor and now crept up the wall, slowly corrupting the fog up to one’s waist.
The wall on Lucien’s side slowly turned green.

Lucien’s body moved, the three spider legs on his back pulled out and stabbed another wall.
At that mont, his spider legs brushed past the green mist lingering on the wall.
The slimy liquid on the spider legs sizzled, instantly lting, exposing the bare spider legs.

A prickling pain instantly shot up from that area before a new slimy liquid covered the spider legs.
A slight sense of numbness spread and Lucien’s mind blurred.

The thread spread into a spider web and Lucien nimbly jumped onto the web on all four— upside down.

Another ball of thread shot out towards the other ceiling and in no ti, the entire ceiling was full of webs.
Lucien’s figure quickly moved along the web, inching closer to Onous below.
Onous could hear the faint sound of spider legs moving on the web right above his head and his hair stood up.
Before Onous lifted his head—
A white ball of thread shot out like a bullet.
Tak!
Onous’s eyes widened and he shouted in a hoarse voice,
"Hundred Poison Serpent!"
In an instant, the green mist lingering on Onous’s body twisted, forming an arm-thick serpent.
Just an inch before the web blood into a net—
The first poison serpent lunged at the web.
"Hisss!!"
The white web quickly turned green and black before it lost all montum, turning into a clump of black ball.
Thud.
The black ball fell to the floor, slowly lting under the thick green fog on the floor.
As the first serpent appeared—
The second. The third.
Fifth. Tenth.
Countless green mist serpents rose, slithering in the air with their tongues dancing.

"Go! Find that monster!"
The green serpents around Onous quickly spread throughout the hall, searching for Lucien.
Swish! Swish! Swish!
The air instantly felt heavy.
Lucien’s lungs throbbed.
His 360° vision caught sight of Lurenzo and Mumu, trembling behind the throne. Their faces turned blue and green.
A sense of irritation rose, much stronger than before.

The purple crystal throbbed and the rampaging energy flowed into Lucien’s body.

"Urrkkk!"
Lucien let out a low growl from his throat.
A fourth leg tore out of his back, growing longer and longer.

Blood spurted out of Lucien’s back and Onous keenly slled the strong scent.
He quickly looked up and saw the blurry shadow crawling upside down on the ceiling.

He controlled the green mist serpents and the serpents instantly shot towards Lucien’s place.
"Hisss!"
Wherever they passed, the web turned black and crumbled.
The green mist serpents crawled into the ceiling and simultaneously pounced at Lucien.
"Hisss!"

Lucien swiftly jumped onto another web, his four claws gripping the web tightly— but his body still grazed the twisting green mist.
Sting.
Lucien’s head throbbed.
His breath quickened.
His inside suddenly burned, as if about to lt.
"Kkkkkkkkrrrrr..."
A low growl vibrated from Lucien’s throat.
—Kill...
His eyes flicked at Onous down there and he quickly shot another web on the ceiling.

Lucien’s figure turned into a blur as he landed on another ceiling.
The green mist serpents behind chased relentlessly but the next second—
Shaaa...
Lucien’s figure slowly disappeared, as if swallowed by the fog.

The sll of blood was gone.
Onous only saw a flicker of black shadow and then—

The green mist serpents hissed, swirling in the air, rampaging through all visible webs.

Lucien’s inside was burning, his claws trembled, but his figure still moved swiftly from one web to another— inching closer and closer to Onous.
Onous walked around, head looking at the ceiling, eyes following the serpent’s movent.
He subconsciously gnawed his fingertip, his teeth clattering.

In a place he didn’t see, a thin web stuck to the ceiling, gradually vanishing from sight.

The thin, invisible web slowly descended from the ceiling.
Lucien’s figure hung on the web upside down, his hind legs clamping the web tightly, his tail coiled tight.

The green fog down below quickly enveloped Lucien’s body.

Onous’s eyes rolled back, but the green mist serpent around him imdiately bit the tail.

The green poison lted the slimy liquid.
The tail twitched, its grip loosening!

Onous grabbed the tail and yanked it hard!

The tail swung away and Onous broke free.
His feet were about to touch the ground again when—

The sharp tip of the tail pierced his nape.

Blood spurt out.
Onous’s eyes widened in horror.
