Chapter 67: Last Raid: Entering The Boss Chamber

Amon was stunned.

Raven’s mind went blank for a split second.

The gravity control over the four people instantly loosened.

Their bodies swayed, about to plumt into the chasm!

"Raven! Focus!"

Onous’s cold voice sounded as he waved his hands towards the giant beast, the green mist shooting out like an arrow.

[Poison Dart]

Tak!

The poison mist hit the black shell with a light impact.

The shell naturally didn’t break, but a sinister smile appeared on Onous’s face.

Three...two...one...

Onous expected to see the monster stiffening, roaring, or anything, but—

Chew. Chew. Chew.

The monster chewed loudly, not showing any other reaction.

What...?

Onous’s face instantly changed.

"Impossible!"

His Poison Dart could seep through armors, poisoning anything inside in three seconds!

But no.

The smooth black shell firmly kept the green mist out.

Not a single air could penetrate!

Onous’s pupils trembled. A chill crept down his spine.

He felt as if he was standing in front of a deep, bottomless shadow.

A sense of fear finally crept into his heart.

The other three hunters saw the scene and their hearts dropped to their stomachs.

Their bodies trembled from head to toe.

Onous’s skill...didn’t work?

Sothing hamred their minds into a mush and the three people’s stomachs churned.

N-no.

They...they can’t win.

They...they had to...

"R-raven." The tan-skinned man murmured, a hard rock slowly enveloped his body.

"R-run."

"Now!"

"Ughhh!"

Raven focused his mind and the four people instantly moved away from the giant shadow, their figures shooting fast towards the cave chamber without a ground—

No, it was toward a purple glowing arc hidden inside!

Amidst the background noise of the bones breaking and blood splattering, Raven brought everyone up into the cave chamber, just a few ters away from the glowing arc.

The distance was finally close enough for him to make a big movent.

"Huuu! Huuu! W-we...did it!"

Raven’s pale face brightened, a relief smile appeared on his face.

He was about to make a throwing motion to throw everyone into the arc—

But the three other hunters fell silent.

Their faces were deathly pale as they looked at him—

No.

Behind him.

Swish.

A strong wind struck his back.

Raven’s mind moved, controlling the gravity to move his body away, but—

The thing behind was faster.

Chomp.

Raven’s eyes widened.

He stiffly turned his neck around.

That big shadow was still far away, chewing.

Then...what was behind?

Crack.

A stabbing pain swept over Raven’s whole body and his mind blurred.

Ah...

A second...monster?

In his last mont of consciousness—

Raven’s trembling hands made a weak throwing motion.

Swoosh!

The three hunters were thrown straight into the glowing purple arc.

Simultaneously—

Red blood splashed over the three hunters.

Splat.

Woongggg.

Their bodies vanished into the glowing arc.

Amon and the tan-skinned man’s shrill voice drifted in the wind.

"Ra...vennnn— "

Chew. Chew. Chew.

The only sound left was the sound of chewing.

Grrkkk.

The cave floor slowly descended.

The two shadows’ black shells were quickly wrapped in a white cocoon once more.

Thump.

The two monsters sensed the restriction and imdiately slamd their bodies towards the wall.

But the cave floor descended fast, plunging them back into the darkness.

Tak. Tak. Tak.

The sound of spider skittering sounded at the bottom.

Splatter.

Green blood splashed inside the two things’ mouths.

Their movents slowed down until only a dull, thumping noise sounded.

Thump.

Thump.

The purple crystal inside the foggy hall throbbed, pulsing.

Thump.

Three bursts of energy shot out of the spider dungeon, rushing into Lucien’s body, drowning him in a bubbling hot water.

"Ughhhh..."

[ 20% energy]

[Main dungeon’s energy reserve: 160%]

Before the system gave an energy overload warning, Lucien imdiately transferred parts of the energy to his two dungeons.

[

10%]

[Sli dungeon’s energy reserve: 100%]

[

35%]

[Spider dungeon’s energy reserve: 100%]

The energy in the purple crystal slowly flowed into the other two crystals.

Not stopping at that, Lucien forcibly drew energy from the purple crystal, injecting it into the throne hall.

[ 50 durability]

[Durability: 100/100]

The energy inside the purple crystal continued to decrease, but even after that—

[Main dungeon’s energy reserve: 110%]

[Warning! Warning!]

[Main dungeon’s energy overload!]

Crack.

Fine cracks appeared on the purple crystal as the rampaging energy poured out.

Simultaneously, Lucien felt his spine cracking.

Crack!

Sothing grew out of his spine, piercing his skin.

"Ughh!"

Red blood with a hint of blue and green slowly trickled down Lucien’s back.

Sizzle.

His clothes lted.

A long, hairy spider leg pierced out of Lucien’s back and he subconsciously arched forward.

"Uakh!"

Lucien clawed his back, but a layer of slimy liquid covered his naked back, a sizzling noise sounded and he felt a slight sting at the tip of his claw.

"Ugh!"

Lucien lifted his head and groaned.

His entire body trembled from head to toe.

"M-my lord??" Lurenzo, who was right behind Lucien, subconsciously jumped back.

Crack! Crack!

One more spider leg pierced out, the tip gleaming with a sharp claw.

Ba-thump.

Lurenzo’s legs trembled.

He took another step back.

Sizzle. Sizzle.

Red blood mixed with blue and green continued to flow out of Lucien’s back, but the wound would close up twice faster than usual.

Lurenzo swallowed his saliva.

Is that...human?

Even Mumu in Lurenzo’s arms froze.

He looked at Lucien with wide eyes.

Bad...uncle?

Is that you?

But you slled...

Like an enemy.

DING! [Body synchronization 85%]

At the sa ti, the excess energy lingered around Lucien’s body, tearing his skin piece by piece.

Yet the slimy substance protected Lucien’s bare skin.

The thin spider legs slowly absorbed the lingering purple energy and they ballooned.

Crack. Crack.

A third tip poked out of Lucien’s spine, but didn’t break through yet.

Woongggg.

It was at this ti that the purple glowing arc at the throne room’s entrance twisted.

In his muddled state, Lucien sniffed a burst of strong aroma.

Three of them.

The blinding energy pierced through the hazy fog in the hall.

Haaa...

Lucien’s belly, that was stuffed to the brim, actually twisted, churning.

He slowly stood up.

—More!

Lucien’s landlord aura slowly faded— compressed to the point of nothing.

"Lord...Luen?"

Lurenzo rubbed his eyes.

Lucien’s back figure vaguely appeared in his eyes.

But...

He couldn’t feel any presence.

Nothing.

Shaaa...

Lucien’s figure silently blended with the fog.
