Chapter 65: Last Raid: Spider Dungeon’s Fall

The spiders got rid of the webs on the ceiling near the glowing arc and quickly hid deeper into the cave.

At the sa ti, Onous and the others ca out of the blue glowing arc in tandem.

The mont they ca out, their feet touched the uneven, jagged ground but before they could even stand still—

Their bodies flipped.

Swoosh!

All six hunters plumted in an instant!

"Ahhh— "

The hunters’ flashlights slipped out of their hands, falling into the deep chasm, the bright light instantly disappeared.

Bang!

Lucien slowly tugged the corner of his lips, his mind already imagining the hunters’ shocked faces and screams—

But his smile froze on his face.

"Mass Gravity Control!" The gloomy boy shouted and an invisible force quickly enveloped all six hunters.

The hunters’ bodies swallowed by the darkness froze.

Then, bit by bit, their bodies slowly rose into the air, floating higher than the giant web.

The hunters’ faces turned pale.

Onous’s face darkened, sweat slid down his face as he forced his heart to beat slower, his fists clenched tight.

"Audacious."

With a breathy voice, Onous swung his arms towards the dark cave.

The next second— the green mist around his body surged.

[Poison Web]

The green mist crawled onto the giant web, swallowing it like a living snake.

The mont the green mist touched the venom-coated web, the web quickly turned black.

The black mark spread from the edge of the giant web all the way across, slithering like a vicious snake.

Shaaa...

The green mist slithered to every web, not sparing the ones on the ceiling either.

The ceiling blackened, dark green veins seeped in.

The air around suddenly felt heavy.

The other hunters felt their lungs tightened, their breath quickened.

Their faces slowly turned green and blue, eyes rolled to the back.

"Ah! Guild leader!"

The gravity boy quickly stretched his hand, pushing Onous to float away from their group.

"Huuu. Huu."

Only then did the hunters catch their breaths, their head dizzy as they looked at the giant web covered in green mist.

Behind the green mist, a spider twitched.

Then...its body flipped— belly up.

Foams poured out of its mouth, its legs twitching slightly— until it stilled, unmoving.

One spider.

Two spiders.

Tak. Tak. Tak.

More and more spiders flipped over, foams poured out and their bodies stilled.

"K-iiiik!"

The spiders on the ceiling shrieked, their bodies falling down like rain.

Thud. Thud. Thud.

Dull noises drifted from the chasm, echoing throughout the cave.

Countless red panels popped up in front of Lucien’s eyes.

[ -10 spiders]

[ -20 spiders]

The number of spiders continued to plumt.

Lucien’s eyes imdiately swept over the gatekeeper spiders’ hiding places and saw their bodies trembling, their movent slowing down.

Green mist clung on their bodies, like a leech.

Lucien’s claws gripped his own chest— it throbbed, prickling him with every breath.

Swish!

His tail lashed the air and the fog tore apart.

Lucien’s fangs grounded his teeth as he spoke in a hoarse voice, his claws almost digging into his own flesh.

"Queen."

"Co out!"

Inside the smaller cave chamber across the chasm, the spider queen slowly dragged her body out.

Once she was at the chamber entrance, she opened her mouth.

The hunters’ eyes widened.

That signature pose—

"Stop it— "

The next second, a shriek blasted through the air.

"Kiikkk!!"

An invisible sound wave spread from the queen’s mouth, instantly hamring the hunters’ minds into a mush.

Boom!

"Uakh!"

Blood spurted out of the hunters’ ears.

Their heads ringing, the world spun around.

The gravity boy’s hands trembled and all five hunters swayed precariously in the air, their bodies descending fast!

"R-raven! Steady!"

The tan-skinned man shouted, his face pale.

"Huu...huuu...seniors— " The Gravity boy squeezed his eyes tightly and the swaying bodies barely stabilized.

"I-I I can only do this for a few minutes— cough!"

Blood spurted out of the boy’s mouth, his inside was utterly wrecked.

"Raven!" The white-haired woman bit her lips and murmured,

"Angel’s Kiss!"

A bright light poured out of the woman’s body, gently touching all the hunters including herself.

Shinggg.

The mont the light touched the hunters, the bleeding stopped.

Raven’s damaged inner organs slowly recovered bit by bit and color returned to his pale face.

The brains were still aching slightly, but everyone’s breaths slowly stabilized.

Their bodies stopped swaying, the gravity control was back.

However, the hunters had just caught their breaths when the gatekeeper spiders opened their mouths wide.

"Kiiik!"

Swish! Swish!

Two balls of white threads shot out of the spider’s mouth like a cannon ball!

Raven, the gravity boy, could barely keep the hunters floating, much less dodged.

"Watch out!"

The monocle guy moved his hand, trying to use telekinesis, when—

Throb!

His brain ached, his concentration shattering.

"Ugh!"

No— his skill—

The two balls instantly blood into a wide net, enveloping all six hunters.

"Kiik!"

The two spiders grabbed the end of the net, ready to drag the prey in!

Just a few inches before the web touched the hunters—

The fire mage woman shouted, her hands trembled.

"Fire...balls!"

Swish!

Two fireballs instantly shot out of her staff.

Boom!

The fireballs collided with the blooming webs, instantly engulfing them.

Burst!

The fire burned and the webs were charred black, turning into ashes in the blink of an eye!

Seeing the gatekeepers’ web attack failed...

"K-kiiik..."

The queen slowly lifted her head, her mouth opened wide.

A ball of white thread quickly accumulated in her mouth, way bigger than the gatekeepers’ web balls.

Everyone’s faces changed.

Not good!

Onous glanced at Leona, his patience thinning.

His green eyes glinted even more sinister than the spiders’.

"Leona."

"Guild leader— "

"Destroy them all."

Leona shuddered and gritted her teeth.

"Y-yes, sir!"

She felt the energy in her body, counted all her available skills and murmured, summoning the last ounce of her energy.

[Fire teor]

In an instant, all the energy in her body hit rock bottom and Leona’s face turned pale, her hands gripping the staff trembled, loosening.

But simultaneously, the air wrapped.

A boiling heat slowly gathered in the void.

Spark.

A fiery red ball— bigger than before, swirled, sparks splattering everywhere.

One.

Three.

Five.

Five fireballs the size of basketballs crackled.

The heat instantly spread throughout the cave.

"K-iiiik!"

The spiders on the giant web flinched, rattling anxiously, trying to run away from the heat.

But it was too late.

The next second—

The fireballs ramd right at the giant web.

Boom!
