Chapter 64: Last Raid: The Unstoppable Onous
The mont the six people entered the dungeon, Lucien sniffed.
A thick— rich, intoxicating sll flooded his senses.
Lucien’s vision zood in onto the six newcors and his eyes flickered— blinded by the strong light.
Energy.
Thick, dense energy.
It was twice the energy of the first few lambs.
Lucien’s stomach gurgled, but—
The air twisted.
Prickle.
A strange aura spread from one of them— prickling his nerves.
Lucien’s claws twitched.
These lambs...
Lucien’s tail swished. His heart started to beat faster.
A tough nut to crack.
At the entrance, the six hunters each took out a crystal flashlight and the dark cave instantly brightened like the day.
The slis hiding in the corners trembled, they wriggled uncomfortably.
Glurg! E-rank...intruders!
Glurg! Hide!
The monocle guy’s ears twitched.
He raised his hands towards the source of the slight tremor.
[Telekinesis: Burst]
A strong force poured out of his hands and the next second— he clenched his fists.
Splat!
All the slis in that direction burst into liquids. Their cores turned into dust.
[ -30 slis]
"Huh." The monocle guy flexed his fingers and clicked his tongue.
"There goes my skill."
Onous didn’t respond.
He walked slowly, as if the dungeon was his back garden.
Ssshhh.
Every step he took, the cave floor sizzled, oozing with green liquid.
The slis several ters around him twitched, green traces seeped into their bodies.
G-glurg!
The other five hunters didn’t get too close to Onous, all walking behind him with light steps.
Their movents were so silent that even Lucien almost couldn’t hear the sounds of their footsteps.
In just a blink of an eye, the group entered the narrow passage and t their first dead end.
Without a word, the tan-skinned man raised his hand, a burst of energy shot out.
[Mud Clay]
Bang!
Crumble.
The thick wall suddenly lted, turning into a soft mud, pouring into the cave floor.
The others didn’t even blink an eye as they stepped over the soft mud, their bodies passing through the crumbling wall.
[- 20 durability]
A big red number appeared in front of Lucien, but that’s not the end.
As the group t the second dead end, the sa thing repeated—
Again.
[ -20 durability]
[Warning! Warning! The sli dungeon’s durability is too low!]
[Forcibly converting energy ??????]
Lucien felt another force sucking him dry, his whole body ached as the blue crystal dimd even further.
[Sli Dungeon’s energy reserve: 85%]
[Durability: 70/100]
Lucien grounded his fangs, his tail whipping the air, cracking the void.
Tsk.
His fingers hooked the air and the wall in the maze slowly moved—
Creating a long, straight path for the hunters.
The hunters paused, eyes looking ahead coldly.
"Guild leader, this— "
"Walk."
Onous continued to walk forward, his back quickly disappearing to the end of the path.
The others walked faster, their figures turned into a blur.
Grrkkk.
Behind them, the wall slowly closed, cutting the wayback path.
In just a few steps, the group exited the maze and was once again greeted by a large, empty crater.
They stood at the edge and imdiately sensed countless gazes landing on them.
The monocle guy frowned.
"I sense a strange aura."
Equal to his.
"Boss monster?"
The red-haired fire girl stabbed her staff to the ground, her hair dancing wildly in the air.
"I’ll force them out."
A surge of fire burst out of the woman’s staff, spreading throughout the cave, devouring everything in its path.
[Fire Spray]
Bang!
The fire hit the wall and exploded.
Dust rained down.
Grrkkk.
The entire wall trembled, the four elite slis and the two dungeon bosses were forced out of their hiding places.
"Glurgggg!"
A pressure comparable to an E-rank hunter descended upon the six people, but the six people didn’t blink an eye.
"An E-rank sli boss..." The white-haired pale girl murmured, the light around her even brighter than her flashlight.
"Guild leader. Should we..?" The fire lady asked and Onous nodded coldly.
"Finish them."
The sli king sensed the malicious intent in the air and he imdiately roared to the sky.
Glurgggg!
[King’s Aura]
A bolt of energy shot out of the sli, heading straight at the fire lady.
But before the force could hit, a wall of rock rose from the ground, blocking it.
[Earth Wall]
Bang!
The invisible force blasted the wall, rocks crumbled but the dust didn’t even touch the people hiding behind.
The king’s aura faltered— and disappeared without a trace.
The sli queen saw her husband’s failed attempt and she moved.
Shaaa...
Water poured out of every corner, quickly filling the deep crater.
The next second— the water flew into the air, turning into a giant spear.
Glurggggg!
The water spear shot right at the group, completely enveloping them whole.
But before the water could approach, the fire lady murmured.
[Fire Spear]
Whoosh!
The sa giant spear appeared out of thin air, bursting with sparks and fla.
Crackle!
The two spears collided and the water spear instantly evaporated into a thick white smoke.
Ssshhh!
The fire spear dimd, but it was still burning, heading straight at the sli queen!
The four elite slis lurking around instantly leapt out, four corrosive cannon balls shot at the fire spear.
Boom!
The fire spear and the corrosive cannon balls exploded.
A strong heat spread throughout the cave, blasting the four elite slis and the smaller slis hiding behind rocks.
Glurg!
The slis lted.
Their numbers decreased like crazy.
[-20 slis]
[-30 slis]
The four elite slis staggered back.
Onous furrowed his eyebrows and murmured.
Shaaa...
The other hunters’ faces changed and they quickly retreated, pinching their noses.
A green mist rose from Onous’s body, rising into the air.
Ssshhh.
The mist slithered, forming six giant snakes.
Before the slis could react, all six snakes coiled around them, the green mist seeping into the slis’ bodies.
G-glurg!
A sharp pain corroded their bodies, their bodies turning numb.
Glurg! P-poison!
The green mist surged, swallowing the crater.
Without looking back, Onous turned around, snapping his fingers at the monocle guy.
"Move."
The monocle guy stretched his hands and rocks floated from the crater, forming a floating rock bridge.
[Telekinesis: Float]
The hunters jumped onto the rock bridge, their steps light.
Below them, the six slis wriggled, shrieking in pain.
In just a few seconds, the hunters crossed the crater.
When they landed on the shore, the hunters looked back at the slis— as if looking at dead bodies.
"Down."
The monocle guy lowered his hands and the rock bridge fell down, smashing the six slis below.
Bang!
Dust rose, covering the six slis’ figure.
Sizzle.
Blue essence dyed the crater, the slis’ breath faint.
But an invisible buff slowly covered their bodies.
[ 10% toxic immunity]
The slis held on with a sliver of breath left.
Their eyes fixed on the hunters’ silhouette as they entered the glowing blue arc.
Glurg. M-my lord...
Lucien’s voice rang, a hissing sound escaped from his throat.
"Rest."
As for the hunters...
Lucien’s claws gripped the armchair and the armchair crumbled.
"Remove the spider webs on the ceiling."
"Kiiikk!" The spiders quickly moved.
A murderous aura slowly rose from Lucien’s body.
Don’t think of leaving alive.
