The two consciousnesses separated at two opposite poles watched in extre shock as that small figure floated inside the spatial inventory.
’She... is dead... how?’ That was an obvious conclusion. The inventory space can’t take anything alive. That said, she must be dead.
Alm couldn’t reason properly in astonishnt. ’Did we kill her when we took the runes from the formation? What was she doing underground?’
Bruno thought about it as he observed her. ’The spatial power of this technique is simple and not lethal; even if that were the case, we would have felt sothing wrong in the process.’ Bruno then sighed, pondering possibilities. ’She must have been dead for so ti when we pulled her along with everything inside the formation.’
A sudden tremor surged through that round body; blood then started to escape from everywhere, reopening the wounds that had stabilized before. The Qi inside their bodies was still practically stagnant because of the oppressive pressure from the divine cultivator, but Alm was igniting the Yin power of his uncontrolled soul.
’What was she doing there? What the hell happened?!’ Alm was furious.
’Maybe so adviser found and killed her; we can’t know. The most surprising thing is how she was found. Ruri’s concealnt was as good as ours,’ Bruno spoke, trying to remain calm. ’Well, in the end, it doesn’t matter that much. It seems we failed completely and let many things slip. A divine cultivator appearing was already out of the question. Now, her being found and killed... maybe when she completely sealed the formation, it triggered so hidden internal chanism.’
’We have to find the answers in her mories. I really hope everyone from the clan is alive... I will torture and refine them slowly in the worst way I can...’ Alm was completely imrsed in his pure hatred.
Bruno sighed; Ruri had clouded much of that hatred within Alm. She was a pure and determined child; even in a short ti, she managed to completely disarm Alm and carve her presence into him. It all happened so quickly that not even Bruno could believe how attached he beca to her. But now, only a dead corpse remained, bringing everything back to the beginning.
’Our Qi is still ninety percent stagnant. The divine cultivator must have started a violent search, so he’ll quickly conclude that only the sect could have done sothing,’ Bruno comnted lightly. ’It should take a few days for us to use Qi freely and scour her mory.’
Torturous hours passed slowly, with Alm watching that small figure within the space. After almost a day, they resud extracting energy from the formation runes, and the body’s recovery took another two days.
It was shortly after that when the world seed to have been freed from the sinister chains of an angry god. The laws of nature began to circulate again, Qi flowed normally, and the sun could reappear in the sky, illuminating and giving hope to the forms of life.
Inside the dark cave, Alm and Bruno were sitting in a lotus position, and in front of them, a hole the size of a small person was open. It was a grave awaiting a body to be mourned and then buried.
Alm and Bruno observed as a gentle glow illuminated the surroundings. Floating lightly, the little girl reappeared in mid-air and was gently placed in the hole.
Their eyes then closed as Alm spoke. "Little girl, Master can’t give you a proper burial, but I hope this one can suffice..."
"Do I have to be buried?" A voice suddenly asked.
"Obviously, your Master isn’t that cold."
"But the ground is cold..." The voice complained.
"Cold? Hot? Who cares! Just lie down and be a good corps... Hmm?" It was then that Alm noticed sothing odd. ’Weird... since when do dead bodies speak?’
Yet, when he and Bruno opened their eyes, they were almost frightened out of their minds. "What the hell?!"
Ruri looked at them, her eyes as bright as ever. "Ruri doesn’t know how to be a good corpse, Master."
A trendous shock ran through their entire gigantic bodies, causing them to take a small step back as if they had stepped on sothing slippery. They stood up abruptly, their eyes widened in surprise, with Bruno displaying a look of utmost astonishnt, and Alm was clearly disturbed.
The cave was filled only with the uncontrolled sound of their hearts as if they had just witnessed a surreal magic trick. Then, their gazes beca tense and piercing, focused in her direction.
Everything was silent as Bruno narrated to Alm, and a fearful voice echoed. "Master... I... sorry..." Ruri tried to say sothing, but nothing ca out.
Bruno then took control while strange feelings were sprouting in Alm. "What the hell happened? What did you do?"
"Um... you said you were going to connect everything in a space and then... take everything from the formation," Ruri spoke awkwardly and with a lot of fear.
Bruno and Alm quickly understood the situation even with those confusing words. Before, they doubted that she had understood the entire sealing technique, but she had actually managed to seal both QIs to set the trap to explode the elders of the Three Extres Sect, Innoa’s Sect. That alone already impressed Alm and Bruno.
Of course, in the end, Bruno and Alm didn’t use it to kill the elders of the Three Extres Sect. As seen before, the cultivator from the Divine World locked everyone’s movents, but Alm and Bruno were able to get free and kill the elders while they were unable to move.
Nevertheless, she was far from using even 1% of the technique’s power. Her cultivation was the main obstacle; she didn’t have enough Qi. Moreover, using the technique to completely seal the soul required absolute control and understanding of the technique. A mistake could irreparably damage the soul. However, doing this didn’t require much Qi.
’The spatial inventory cannot be used to store anything alive... but with her soul completely sealed, she was just a dead and lifeless body. The body entered a state of almost death imdiately,’ Bruno analyzed everything coldly.
