Ti passed slowly, and then the small, round eyes of the girl opened, allowing the image of the dark sky above the abyss to enter. Imdiately, a feeling of multiple eyes focusing on her triggered an alert. She quickly raised her torso, abruptly centering herself. Before her eyes, there was only a tired-looking man very close.

It was a humanoid figure that seed to be about the sa age as Ruri. Slim, her hair was reddish and cut to shoulder length by an assassin’s blade. Her skin was dark, and there was no clothing, but it wasn’t necessary. Almost all her skin was covered in black scales, clearly indicating her lack of skill in using tamorphosis. Beasts transform into forms that match their ntal age, so this female beast certainly appeared childlike, but her real age should not align with that of a human.

"Hm... you woke up. My pills, combined with his power, really brought you back quickly," Almin spoke softly, looking into her eyes, then turned his face to the right.

She turned in the sa direction and saw all those other figures nearby looking at her. In the center of them was a... sothing large and round. It was sitting cross-legged, and in between its legs, looking piercing and bloodthirsty, was a young girl.

"I think you better start talking and explaining; otherwise, Ruri will harvest your bloodline," Almin said, snorting at her.

She swallowed hard, but her eyes glead slightly as she looked at the whale, and she spoke a little tremulously. "I’m sorry... sir... is your na Goku?"

"Yes, I find it hard to have another with the sa na and appearance. Why did you attack? If you delay and Ruri attacks, I won’t hold her back," the whale spoke quickly, and Ruri tightened the grip on her katana with a certain excitent.

"I... I’m sorry... my parents raised in an attempt to restore the prestige of both clans... but I ended up being a failure, and I can’t control either bloodline properly," she replied quickly, eyes welling up with tears. "As I burned all the Wyvern blood, I thought when using the demonic side, there would be no conflict. But I’m useless, and I lost control..."

Bruno sighed. A mortal burning Wyvern bloodline? Dragon’s blood? Really? She has no idea how powerful that blood is; that blood rely closed its eyes for a quick rest. The only reason her demonic bloodline could even compete against the dragon bloodline was simply because the dragon bloodline was really low, extrely thin. Nonetheless, both are the proudest things imaginable and they never silently united with anything else.

"Because of your mistake, Almin could have died, and I really would have killed you. Well, what’s your na, and where do you co from?" Bruno asked gently, and Ruri imdiately looked at him sharply.

"I ca at Master Calirer’s request to find soone who looked like a whale demon. My clan is called Soul Eater. My na is Runula," she spoke and bowed in the direction of everyone. "I felt my clan’s power in you... sorry, besides being useless, my intelligence is bad. I was so desperate to survive that I didn’t recognize you."

"Where’s your master? Why didn’t she co?" Langrum spoke quickly.

Runula turned to Langrum and waved with joyful eyes. "I finally t sister. Our master... she sent because she was in a very bad condition." Langrum’s eyes narrowed, and the girl jumped nervously. "I don’t know why, but a month before the Abyss laws changed, our master decided to start a leadership battle for the clan, even though her cultivation was lower than everyone else."

Runula took a deep breath, seeming to recall a striking scene in her mories, and her eyes glead. "Even though our master was weaker, she fought all the advisors in a fair battle. But... two weeks ago, she fought the vice leader. And when he was defeated, even though spared, he used a surprise attack from his beastly bloodline; it was a sinister poison that afflicted our master. She was still recovering and was forced to send ."

"Two weeks, I see. She sent you, and you waited for us... like an idiot! Until you were discovered and chased, right?" Bruno spoke, now more sternly and awkwardly. While feeling Ruri’s gaze on him.

"Yes, I’m sorry..." she murmured.

"You apologize too much. I’ve understood, and Almin is fine at the end. I don’t want to waste ti, if you ca to take us, let’s go now," the whale spoke dryly, getting up and starting to take steps forward.

Everyone got up, and Runula was stunned for a mont. Soon, Almin, who was nearby, reached out to help her get up, and she turned to him, accepting the help.

"He’s a bit rough, just pretend nothing happened. But don’t leave my side. I’m responsible for her not killing you," Almin spoke wearily.

"She..." Runula turned in Ruri’s direction, who climbed onto the whale’s shoulders, and those bloodthirsty eyes still seed to be aid at her.

"She’s a bit jealous... and your bloodline is valuable to her pet. Stay as far away from Goku as possible, and don’t leave my side," Almin concluded and walked, but she didn’t move.

"Her pet?" Runula murmured.

Almin nodded in response. "Yes, he’s still an egg, but it’ll be a while before he hatches. His parents were two pure and powerful Wyverns who died."

"Pure Wyvern... That’s impossible; the celestial demon emperor enslaved all the pure ones millions of years ago. And they all died, leaving only two slaves guarding the tomb," Runula murmured bitterly.

Almin then spoke, grabbing her hand as the two walked. "Hm? How is it impossible if there were two of them, they could lay an egg. And you still have the bloodline of one, right?"

"For a dragon bloodline egg to hatch, it must be nourished by dozens of the sa bloodline, blessing it with draconic laws. I am a descendant of a hybrid Wyvern that existed before the main race was enslaved, and after so long, there is practically no dragon’s blood. But with only two living pure Wyverns, even if they lay an egg, it will never hatch. The egg won’t even be able to develop or have a soul," she spoke seriously and bitterly.

"I see... so this egg will be abnormal, like our leader. He already has a soul and can communicate with his owner. And I’ve t his Wyvern parents myself; definitely pure."

Runula’s eyes widened, and she refused to believe. A few ters ahead, Ruri, on the whale’s shoulder, clung tightly to their heads with a sulky expression. Almin and Runula were talking, and Alm and Bruno heard everything clearly.

’Hm... didn’t know these things about the blessing of draconic laws.’ Bruno comnted.

Alm then analyzed coldly. ’Her story makes sense... the dragon bloodline gives Wyverns a gigantic lifespan. Those two could be just the last survivors, born thousands of years ago when there were still others. As for the egg, they should have been trying to hatch it for a long ti.’

Alm continued. ’However, this egg seems to have awakened its dragon bloodline sohow. Most likely, that’s the reason it was able to absorb all that Yin and Yang Energies from the Prison. It seems like this egg can absorb anything that has enough power to help its developnt. Naturally, that girl’s weak wyvern bloodline is one of such things, and so was the Yin and Yang of the Prison.’

’OH! So he’s going to be a Wy... no! Sothing above, much closer to a dragon. With the potential to rise to be a true... a legendary mutant dragon!’ Bruno exclaid excitedly.
