Chapter 47: Chapter 47: Zombie Differentiation, Acquiring Experimental Equipment
Wang Ziru was indeed a capable man. While Lin Qi was analyzing the Extraordinary Items, he had already arranged work for most of the survivors.
"The more troublesome issue right now is the survivors’ supplies. There are very few supplies inside the Club Activity Building," Xia Chu relayed the problem Wang Ziru had raised.
Lin Qi replied, "Let’s see how fast the survivors can produce the equipment. Once the first batch of Exoskeletons is finished, they can move around the Mo University Campus. The supplies on campus will be enough to last a long time."
Lin Qi had a long-term plan for the survivors, and he believed that with Wang Ziru’s ability, he could handle things perfectly.
’The only reason Wang Ziru told Xia Chu about the trouble was to make his presence known and get on my good side.’
’That master’s student gets it. In this Survivor Camp, I, Lin Qi, who has mastered the core technology, am the absolute ruler.’
’Technology equals power. The shock of the Mecha is still fresh in their minds.’
"It’s getting late. You should get some rest. I need to go get some more equipment."
Hearing Lin Qi’s words, Xia Chu wanted to follow, but Lin Qi stopped her. "I still need you to keep an eye on things in the camp. Get some good rest."
With that, Lin Qi walked towards the stairs.
’My Wizard Profession’s power can’t be improved for now. I’ll need to Meditate for several days to absorb and analyze the next Extraordinary Item. My total Spiritual Power isn’t high enough yet.’
’But aside from my Wizard Profession’s power, I also have the physical fitness of a Tier One. Even though I’m not technically a Martial Artist, I can still keep improving.’
In the next twenty-four hours, Lin Qi planned to find a way to continue improving his physical fitness.
After Lin Qi’s physical fitness reached Tier One, the effect of the Crimson Crystal Stones had weakened significantly.
But things were different now. Lin Qi had recently learned Pharmacy at the company.
Combinations of ordinary drugs could trigger a Spiritual Particle adhesion effect, creating M-level Potions that were sufficient for a Tier One Martial Artist to use.
’What if the materials include Extraordinary Items?’
This wasn’t M-Class Pharmacy knowledge; it involved L-Class and even A-Class levels.
The Cyber World didn’t have that many Extraordinary Items to be used in potions, but that didn’t mean Extraordinary Items couldn’t be used as production materials.
’Perhaps compared to the Wizard Profession, the Doomsday World, with its large number of similar Extraordinary Items, is more suitable for the development of Pharmacy.’
’King Arthur was hunted down for a single S-Class Potion. If I use the resources of the Doomsday World, I might be able to mass-produce S-Class Potions in the future.’
Having made up his mind, Lin Qi’s plan became clear.
He needed to build a Pharmacy Laboratory in the Doomsday World.
Low-level Pharmacy experiments didn’t require much equipment.
A centrifuge, a high-pressure furnace...
The equipment in the Doomsday World wasn’t advanced, but it was sufficient.
Low to mid-level Potions could even be made without equipment, using crude methods.
’Perhaps, back in the medieval period of the Cyber World, so-called Alchemy was the origin of Cyber Pharmacy.’
Arriving on the first floor of the Club Activity Building, Lin Qi chose not to leave in the Mecha.
’I almost forgot, there are still a few Zombies on the first floor.’
’Since I’m already here, I might as well clear out the Zombies on the first floor to ensure the entire Club Activity Building is secure.’
Then, he walked out of the Club Activity Building.
Most of the Zombies that had been attracted by the rescue operation had dispersed, but a good number still lingered outside the building.
Zombies have no intelligence. After losing their locked-on target, they wander aimlessly, trying to find new living things.
Lin Qi’s appearance instantly drew the attention of this horde of Zombies.
But the speed bursting from his L-Class Exoskeleton was far beyond what the Zombies could match.
Lin Qi quickly put distance between himself and the Zombies, heading for the nearest parking lot.
Lin Qi had already dismantled three trucks in the parking lot, but there were still more.
These were the university’s vehicles. He didn’t know what they had been purchased to transport, but according to his Spiritual Vision, the trucks were in almost brand-new, factory-fresh condition.
The existence of these trucks now made things convenient for Lin Qi.
He climbed into a truck and, with his superb mechanical skills, removed several parts from the driver’s cabin.
He hot-wired it.
Lin Qi planned to use the truck to transport equipment.
’According to the data from the collection bots, I need to go to the medical school building to find the equipment I need.’
’If I remember correctly, the direction is...’
Without turning on the lights, Lin Qi drove the truck and began his solo operation.
...
Several hours later, the truck screeched to a halt in the parking lot.
Inside the cargo bed were more than ten pieces of equipment that Lin Qi needed.
Besides the equipment, he had also happened to rescue two unlucky master’s students who were trapped in the medical school’s laboratory building.
When the apocalypse broke out, they were still working overtime in the lab, supposedly on a task assigned by their advisor.
Trapped in the lab building, with no means to assemble a radio, the two had somehow survived until now on the laboratory’s purified water.
The truck’s mad dash had attracted a large number of Zombies.
With all these Zombies around, it was difficult for Lin Qi to transport the equipment and the two survivors.
He could only park the truck back in the parking lot.
He turned and shouted to the cargo bed, "You two wait in the truck. I’ll be back for you later."
There were too many Zombies, several hundred by a rough estimate.
Lin Qi didn’t want to waste time on something as meaningless as killing Zombies.
He opened the truck door, and his L-Class Exoskeleton burst with speed once more, pulling away from the Zombies as he made his way back to the Club Activity Building.
He climbed into the Mecha.
The roaring sound caught the attention of the survivors upstairs, causing a bit of a commotion.
Wang Ziru immediately calmed them down. "Don’t worry, that’s Lin Qi at the controls. He’s been working all night for our safety."
"Let’s not make a commotion and cause trouble for him. Everyone, get back to your posts and produce the first batch of equipment as soon as possible. We need to participate in today’s rescue mission."
"Besides the rescue mission, we also need to gather supplies..."
When Wang Ziru spoke, the survivors were willing to cooperate.
There were no fools among the Mo University students; everyone knew that whoever caused trouble at a time like this would become a public enemy.
Order was restored in the sixth-floor Survivor Camp.
Life and production returned to normal.
Through his Spiritual Vision, Lin Qi saw everything.
’My original choice was correct. Using Mo University as a base and gathering a group of high-caliber people.’
’It shouldn’t be too long before they start becoming useful.’
Quite satisfied, Lin Qi piloted the Mecha toward the parking lot.
It was the familiar Chainsaw Sword again.
He easily separated the truck’s cab from its cargo bed.
Carrying only the cargo bed, the Mecha headed toward the Club Activity Building.
Some of the surrounding Zombies stopped in place, while others started following the Mecha.
Seeing this, Lin Qi frowned slightly.
’Ordinary Zombies are starting to differentiate. This means the Crimson Crystal Stones in the brains of some Zombies have started to change.’
’Just as I thought. The information from the broadcast was correct—the danger level of the Zombies will gradually increase.’
’How did this world’s Dragon Country officials get this information right as the apocalypse began?’
