Chapter 183: Chapter 183 Ye Xian Climbs a Tree

Ye Xian’s eyes were beautiful, and Pang Kai had always known this. However, he had thought that their beauty, like other stars in the entertainnt industry, was filled with the strange lights of the stage and the hustle and bustle of the circle—dazzling on the outside but turbid and unworthy on the inside.

Yet, in that instant, the light bursting from the depths of his eyes shone brighter than the glimring starry sky.

Firm, composed, and filled with courageous power, as if infected by that unwavering strength, Pang Kai dumbly nodded.

After Ye Xian finished speaking, he dashed out.

“Woof…”

The Tibetan Mastiff, growling continuously from its throat, took steps towards the little girl, and its wide-open mouth seed ready to bite down on the girl’s neck. Ye Xian placed his index finger to his lips and blew a loud whistle. The piercing sound successfully captured its attention.

...

The Tibetan Mastiff turned its head, and Ye Xian picked up a small stone from the ground and hurled it with unerring accuracy at the dog.

“Woof—”

The stone hit its head, the Tibetan Mastiff howled in pain, instantly enraged; its fur stood on end, and with its strong limbs, it chased after her.

Ye Xian turned and ran.

Pang Kai watched her swift silhouette, his face turning pale, his eyes growing warm, his breath caught, fearing the next scene would be the Tibetan Mastiff tearing her to shreds.

Without a mont to spare, he rushed to grab the crying little girl and staggered towards the Mu Family villa.

The Tibetan Mastiff was one of the fiercest dog breeds in the world, large and powerful, exceptionally skilled in attack. Ye Xian had no hope of outrunning it, nor did she expect to; thus, when it was about to pounce, she nimbly climbed a tree like a monkey.

Regrettably, she was a step too slow, the Tibetan Mastiff’s open jaws nicked her ankle, and blood started to ooze from the broken skin.

Luckily, the wound wasn’t big, about the size of a fingernail, and it was covered by her trousers, so filming for television and going on shows shouldn’t be affected. It just hurt a bit.

“Hiss~”

Ye Xian hissed in pain, looked down, and saw the infuriated Tibetan Mastiff circling the tree and barking vehently, as if the at had run from its mouth.

She curved her mouth into a smile, feeling victorious, and blew a few more provocative whistles at it.

“You little mad dog, you have the guts to chase , now climb up here if you can~~”

“Woof woof woof!!”

The crazy Tibetan Mastiff, as if understanding her words, looked up, baring its teeth and growling loudly, fierce eyes shining, and frothy saliva gleaming in the sunlight streaming from its mouth, presenting a fearso sight that sent chills down one’s spine.

But Ye Xian was not frightened in the least. Far from it, she even readjusted her position comfortably on the tree, casually crossing her legs.

In June and July, mulberries were ripe, and waves of their fragrance wafted to her nose. Ye Xian casually picked a few large berries and put them into her mouth. They were juicy, sweet, and refreshing.

“Mmm~”

She enjoyed the mont, squinting her eyes, and proceeded to toss a few at the Tibetan Mastiff’s head, curling her index finger and drawing out her voice, “Co on over—”

“Woof!!”

Provoked by her, the Tibetan Mastiff’s eyes nearly shot out green light, as it started to claw frantically at the tree trunk after a bout of wild barking.

Ye Xian was lying comfortably, but suddenly felt the tree trunk shaking and quickly looked down.

Under the Tibetan Mastiff’s scratching, sawdust from the mulberry tree fell as if it were paper.

What the heck?! Is this even possible?

Ye Xian panicked, “Stop, stop, Big Dog Brother, I was wrong…”

The mulberry tree’s shaking grew more violent, and Ye Xian realized she was in trouble, frantically looking around. When would Pang Kai manage to get help?
