Central Continent.
Radiant Empire.
In a large city with a population of at least several million.
Several carriages slowly proceeded down the city’s main road.
At the front of the convoy.
Stood a creature about three and a half ters tall.
With blue-red skin, covered in scale armor, a pair of large horns on its forehead, and massive bat-like wings and a tail growing from its back.
Its appearance was sowhat similar to that of a typical Dragon Person, yet also slightly different.
This was Gewu Shattered Bone, the forr leader of the Half-Beastn. Long before being sent to the Central Continent, to the Radiant Empire, Land had always had these Half-Beastn take catalysts.
The compatibility between these beastn and the catalysts seed stronger than that of ordinary people or beasts, allowing them to easily complete evolutionary mutations.
Becoming Dragon Beastn!
Possessing imnse physical strength.
At this mont, if Gewu Shattered Bone’s strength were calculated, it would at least be at the level of a 16-17 level Professional Warrior.
Additionally, with the bullet chain draped over his shoulder and the machine gun in his hand, even handling a 19-level warrior would be highly likely.
Behind him were more than a dozen Dragon Beastn, whose bodies were not as robust as Gewu Shattered Bone’s but still nearly three ters tall, each carrying a Thunderbolt Machine Gun.
Further back, surrounding the carriages on all sides, were two to three hundred Dragon People ard with Death God 47 rifles.
This was an incredibly powerful ard force.
So citizens on the street, upon seeing this ard force, hastily stayed far away.
And so were constantly discussing:
"Here they co again. The Giant Dragon Comrce seems to visit like this every few months. What do you think they have in those cargo boxes that warrants such caution and such a formation?"
"What else could it be? It must be Gold Talers!"
"All Gold Talers? That’s truly frightening! Look at the cargo of these few carriages—by any estimate, it must be several tens of thousands of Gold Talers, right?"
"At least fifty to sixty thousand! It’s so extravagant! Radiant Empire, and the neighboring major forces, all have plenty of Heaven on Earth establishnts.
Adding them up, I estimate tens of thousands of Gold Talers are involved! It’s like a gold mine!
Speaking of which, among such a vast amount of Gold Talers, there must be sothing I contributed."
"These fellows stride so boldly; are they not afraid of being robbed? Anyone would be tempted by so much wealth, right?"
"Robbery? Are you kidding? Do you think the Giant Dragon Comrce is that easy to ss with? Don’t you know how strong these monsters are guarding it?
Among the two to three hundred of them, I dare say there are at least a dozen advanced professionals, with the others at around level 10.
Their weapons are formidable too. I hear they’re crafted by the Undead.
The Death God 47—know about it? Costs ten Gold Talers each, and it’s said that even an ordinary person could kill so advanced professionals with it...
Furthermore, those Thunderbolt Machine Guns the leaders are wielding are even more exaggerated, costing thirty Gold Talers each. The holder alone is like an army and is highly favored by so lords and nobles.
The Giant Dragon Comrce is loaded, actually equipping so many weapons.
I’d say this force is sothing even so ordinary legendary figures couldn’t defeat. Who would dare oppose them?"
"True, indeed."
This transportation convoy continues grandly, slowly leaving the city.
Then they started heading west.
There, 500 kiloters away, is a seaport.
The convoy’s purpose was to transport the Gold Talers to the docks and then, along with goods from other places, ship everything back to Black King City.
They had done this several tis and were quite practiced at it.
The journey was quite long, but the road was wide and smooth. It’s no wonder, with the Radiant Empire’s domain in the Central Continent, they do have good road maintenance.
This spared the entire convoy a lot of ti, allowing them to reach their destination in under two weeks.
They continued moving forward.
While passing a large river, nearly two thousand Dragon Fish People jumped out to join the convoy, providing escort along the way!
Such strength would not spark much desire for attack, even among so great nobles or great lords.
Gradually, they ca to a forest path.
On both sides were lush, towering, dense trees.
Birds chirped loudly.
The few Half-Beastn leading the way were incredibly sensitive. Before walking far, they sensed sothing was amiss. Just as they were about to speak up.
A thunderous blast erupted from both sides of the forest.
A barrage of bullets rained down on the convoy!
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!
"Neigh! Neigh! Neigh!!"
The horses shrieked in agony, instantly turned into sieves, blood gushing forth, and collapsed to the ground.
Neither the Dragon People nor the army of Half-Beastn anticipated being ambushed, leaving many of them in panic. Many had their scales shattered amidst the gunfire, blood flowing, and screams filling the air.
As the leader, the Dragon Beastman Gewu Shattered Bone’s pupils contracted sharply. He shouted:
"Damn it! It’s an ambush! Everyone, counterattack! Shamans, use fla skills! The rest, throw incendiary bombs into the forest to show these attackers our might!"
With a roar, the Dragon Beastman leader Gewu Shattered Bone imdiately flapped his Dragon Wings, soaring into the sky.
From high above, he could instantly spot those holding Death God 47s shooting from cover in the forest. Fury enveloped him as he flew over, opening fire!
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!
Sparks exploded in a series of bursts.
