"You still don't understand, do you? Your body's potential has already been exhausted!" Baba's words were cold, delivering a harsh truth to Taro.

Taro, however, remained calm.

"I know. That's precisely why, with no more paths left on Earth, I had to co to the legendary King Kai to seek hope."

Baba eyed him skeptically.

Just then, a drunken demon staggered up behind Taro and slapped him on the shoulder, causing the birds on his shoulders to fly into the air in surprise.

"Ugh!" The demon, with a massive bull's head, belched loudly and drunkenly gazed at the colorful birds flying nearby. He waved a hand dismissively, mumbling. "Where did these birds co from? Go away—" He then slapped Taro's shoulder again, more forcefully this ti.

"Hey, I'm telling you... Wait, what?! You're alive!?" The drunk demon slowly realized sothing was off, his eyes and skin burning from the living aura emanating from Taro. Though it didn't harm him, it was extrely uncomfortable.

"Bull demon, do a favor and go back to your drinking." Fortune said nonchalantly, casting a brief, disinterested glance at the drunk.

The demon was imdiately paralyzed by her gaze, one that seed to pierce the very essence of life and death. It felt as if she had infinite power. He glanced between Taro and the strange figure sitting at the table, before belching again and swaying off.

The birds returned to Taro's shoulders, preening their feathers and curiously looking around.

Fortune turned her attention back to Taro, still puzzled.

"Where did you hear that King Kai has the ability to help you improve again?" she asked. "I didn't know that King Kai could restore the potential of soone who had their life force drained by the Sacred Water."

Taro responded calmly.

"A deity from Earth ntioned King Kai to . So, I asked him to bring here. Whether it works or not, I just wanted to try."

As for his true purpose, he conveniently left that unspoken.

Baba, sitting atop her crystal ball, pondered for a mont before glancing at the birds on Taro's shoulders.

"Leave these birds with " she said with a gesture. "But don't say I didn't warn you." She added, "King Kai probably doesn't have what you're hoping for. Don't be too disappointed."

Taro smiled faintly, gently lifting the seven colorful birds from his shoulders and handing them to his sister.

"I didn't have much hope to begin with, so there's no disappointnt to speak of." He paused, looking down at the birds that seed reluctant to leave him. "These little guys don't like the atmosphere here in Hell..."

Baba scoffed.

"You should worry about yourself!" She shot a sharp glance at the birds, who imdiately quieted down, obediently letting her take them.

Taro lovingly patted each bird's head, murmuring, "I'll co back for you. Be good."

"Chirp..." The birds let out tired, listless chirps.

After bidding Baba farewell, Taro turned and strode toward the entrance of the hellish tavern. The birds, still in Fortune's care, gazed longingly at his retreating figure until he disappeared from view.

Fortune, gently stroking the birds' soft feathers, seed lost in thought.

"Alright, let's go. Take to et my master. I wonder how she's doing in Heaven."

The strange figure sitting opposite Fortune Teller Baba, the previous Earth deity, gave a faint smile. His voice was hoarse yet filled with a kind, gentle tone as he said, "What do you think? Of course, she's doing very well."

Baba said nothing in reply, floating forward atop her crystal ball. With a flash, the seven colorful birds were whisked away along with her, vanishing from sight. The previous Earth deity, still pondering the recent interaction with Taro, reflected for a mont before smiling again. He too disappeared in an instant.

---

After leaving the Hellish Tavern, Taro used his Flight Technique to soar upward, quickly passing through the thick yellow clouds. Suddenly, with a painful jolt to his head, he collided with sothing and began to fall—

"Is this the boundary of Hell?"

As he plumted, Taro looked up at the dense yellow clouds above, muttering to himself. The next mont, his form disappeared mid-air, as he passed through the boundary wall of Hell and reappeared on Snake Way.

"This teleportation ability is quite useful," Taro thought as he stood on Snake Way. He could tell the direction of the path by sensing the snake scales on either side. Looking ahead, Snake Way still twisted and turned without an end in sight.

A million kiloters—Son Goku had taken six months to complete it. Taro shook his head slightly, sensing a special aura far ahead, suspended in the air above the path.

It must be King Kai from the North Galaxy.

Taro's eyes glead with thought. King Kai was just ahead, Planet Nak was just ahead, and with that, his wish was within reach. Perhaps even his long-term plans for the future, hundreds of years from now, would all unfold on that small planet. This journey, however, could afford no mistakes.

The next mont, Taro's figure disappeared from Snake Way.

The yellow clouds rolled on, as if no one had ever passed through.

---

At the end of Snake Way was the tail of the serpent.

Above the tail, a small, unique planet floated quietly in the air, unchanged for countless years. It was the residence of King Kai, the ruler of the entire North Galaxy. Few souls in the underworld had ever traveled this path to reach this place.

Today, a figure suddenly appeared on the surface of King Kai's planet—

Whoosh.

Taro's figure materialized out of nowhere, hovering a few ters above the grassy surface of King Kai's planet. In the next mont, an intense gravitational pull ca from below, relentlessly tugging at every muscle fiber, every blood vessel, every drop of blood in his body...

Taro uncontrollably plumted to the ground with a loud thud, landing on the planet's relatively firm grass.

...

The impact left Taro feeling as though his internal organs had been jolted out of place. He gritted his teeth, his face turning red as if he had been pressed down by sothing, his body tightly pinned to the surface of King Kai's planet.

Ten tis Earth's gravity... it really isn't a joke. Though I could barely simulate this kind of heavy gravity in the deep sea, it's still not quite the sa...

Taro lay on the ground, his thoughts drifting. He glanced up at the sky, which seed to stretch from the bottom of Heaven itself. The sky was a pure, pristine white, exuding an aura of serenity that seed to calm the soul simply by gazing at it.

A chimpanzee's face suddenly appeared in Taro's line of sight.

Bubbles?

Taro thought to himself, struggling to lift his hand toward the chimpanzee's face. But Bubbles swatted it away with a loud smack. The chimpanzee made a few more strange noises, and its footsteps gradually faded.

"Hmph..." Taro hadn't expected to be so casually ignored by a chimpanzee. He began to focus his energy, gathering his internal ki slowly but surely. Under the pressure of his strong will, his ki seed as solid as tempered steel, full of resilience.

Rise!—

Taro gritted his teeth, his face turning red as his loose sleeves tightened around his muscles, finally standing up slowly from the planet's surface, defying the intense gravity.

"Huh, when did we have guests?" A voice ca from behind him.

Taro, still in a horse stance to maintain his balance, turned his head. To his surprise, a blue-skinned, fat-headed creature with fleshy tentacles on its chin was poking its head out of an old-fashioned car window.

It was none other than King Kai of the North.
