Majestria was tied to the front of the tree, Lickthorn strapped to the right, and Chestelle bound to the left. All three of them stared at Finn like dogs hearing the word treat.
"Why aren’t you tied here with us?!" Majestria barked.
"Please get under this rope with ~" Lickthorn purred.
"Can you hold ?" Chestelle whispered.
They all spoke at once.
Finn smirked like he’d just been given the greatest opportunity in history. He raised his hands, gesturing for them to calm down.
"Ladies, ladies. Relax. One at a ti." He chuckled—for absolutely no reason.
The tent went dead quiet. Everyone stared at him. Finn’s smirk wavered, his confidence collapsing, until—
Clap! Clap! Clap!
Chestelle smacked her bound feet together like a deranged seal. "Amazing as always, master!" she chirped, way too happy. The awkwardness grew tenfold.
Theron cleared his throat, drawing all attention back to him. "As I’ve told Mr. Finn before, I’ll be taking him under my care—with you three as his party mbers. By my jurisdiction, I’m obligated to bring you all."
Majestria shot him a disgusted look. "You expect to listen to so weird old man like you?"
Theron opened his mouth to respond, but she cut him off.
"You laid your wrinkled, disgusting hands on and tied here like so common criminal. Do you have any idea who I am? I am the go—"
Smack!
Finn brought his palm down on her head like he was whacking a stubborn TV remote. Majestria squealed, trying to cover her head despite being tied up.
"Maybe," Finn muttered, glancing at Theron and Silvara, "we should release them one by one. Starting with Chestelle."
Before anyone could act, Majestria sank her teeth into Finn’s finger.
"AAH—! OWOWOWOW!" Finn yelped, hopping in place as she gnawed on him like a feral mutt.
"This is what you get for hitting and ignoring first!" Majestria snarled between bites. "You don’t dare slight and think you’ll get away with it!"
"OKAY, OKAY—I’LL LET YOU OUT FIRST!" Finn cried.
Only then did she release him, smug and victorious.
Finn hung his head in sha while Majestria smirked down at him like she’d just conquered a kingdom.
She was untied soon after. She didn’t resist, though she growled if a persons hand so much as brushed her dress or skin. "My skin is too holy for your filthy touch." Finally free, she brushed herself off gracefully and sauntered up to Finn.
"See? That wasn’t so hard. You should’ve known from the start who cos first. I never should’ve been tied up at all." She sneered—until her eyes fell on Finn’s street peasant clothes. Her soft lips curled, and she covered her mouth, stifling a laugh.
"What’s so funny?" Finn asked.
"Your outfit. It’s so pathetic... it actually suits you." She broke into giggles.
"Says you!" Finn shot back.
"It’s as pathetic as your other life," she wheezed, wiping tears of laughter from her eyes.
Finn clenched his fists, tempted to smack her again—but he knew she’d retaliate and probably pulverize him.
"And don’t forget," she said sweetly, "you still owe ."
"He owes too!" Lickthorn whined, wriggling desperately under her ropes.
"He does not!" Majestria snapped.
"He does! He’s owed the longest!"
Theron and Silvara exchanged wary glances and started forward to intervene—but Finn quickly waved them off.
"No," he muttered. "That’ll just make it worse."
"How exactly has he owed you the longest?" Majestria crossed her arms, narrowing her eyes at Lickthorn.
"He’s owed since the wizard tower," Lickthorn declared proudly. "He promised he’d do anything for after I saved him from the chest."
"Ohh... right." Finn scratched the back of his head, wishing she hadn’t rembered that. He sure had. And now he regretted it.
They untied Lickthorn next. Instead of looking relieved, she actually looked disappointed—like she missed the ropes pressing against her.
’Weirdo...’ Finn thought.
Finally, they moved on to Chestelle, the easiest of the three. She hadn’t complained once and just smiled dreamily as they cut her free.
And with that, all three girls were finally untied, now crowding around Finn.
Majestria stood tall, acting like royalty, even though she looked exhausted after two minutes on her feet.
Lickthorn stood there ready to pounce, sohow looking skimpier despite not losing a single article of clothing.
And Chestelle stood next to Finn, beaming like he’d just rescued her from eternal damnation.
And in the middle of them all was Finn, already sick of this party he apparently led. Even though Majestria was leader on paper.
Together they ford what Silvara called "the Majestic Wiggles Party." A team destined to be forgotten.
Theron studied them quietly, deciding where to begin—but Silvara beat him to it.
"You four," she said with disgust, "are the most dysfunctional, pathetic excuse for a team I’ve seen in twenty years of living. You make question the very concept of sanity—and I think I’m finally starting to grasp it after seeing you."
Theron quickly lifted his hand and hovered it over her lips. "Silvara, that’s enough. Do not treat our guests so harshly."
"...Sorry. Forgive ."
Theron lowered his hand to his cane and tapped it against the ground. "I apologize for what you heard. Please, don’t let her words trouble you. Silvara isn’t very... good with phrasing."
’You don’t have to tell about it...’ Finn thought bitterly.
"Now then," Theron continued warmly, "allow to welco you all under my care. We leave tomorrow. Until then, relax and enjoy the fine als prepared by the n here."
Finn’s stomach imdiately growled like a dying beast.
Everyone stared at him.
"...I see," Theron said. "Then please, don’t let keep you. Go eat, and return when you’re finished."
The girls wasted no ti, bolting out of the tent like children who’d just been promised pizza—leaving only Finn, Theron, and Silvara behind.
Theron eyed Finn curiously. "Strange. Why didn’t you rush out with the others? Your stomach made enough noise to scare the birds outside."
"Well yeah," Finn admitted, "but... what ti are we leaving tomorrow? I’ve actually got a couple places I really need to stop by before then."
"Ah, I see." Theron nodded. "Don’t worry—we won’t depart until afternoon. You’ll have plenty of ti to tend to your errands."
"Perfect." Finn turned to leave, relief on his face. "I’ll go now then—"
"What errands exactly?" Theron asked, stopping him.
Finn froze. He opened his mouth to make sothing up—
But Silvara’s voice cut clean through the air.
"If I recall correctly," she said crisply, "he requires a potion to restore his fertility from soone in the Whispering Forest. I believe the woman is called the ’Incubus Midwife.’"
Her gaze locked directly on Finn, deliberate, rciless.
"DAMN IT!"
