After a brief spell of tingling numbness and itchiness, an indescribable surge of power suddenly flowed from her spine, spreading throughout her limbs and entire body. She felt as though the marrow within her bones was trembling faintly, and within that tremor, a soft dragon’s roar seed to echo.
What delighted her even more was the change in her soul core. Originally white, it had now turned blue. Though not yet a deep blue, this single day of cultivation had already pushed a significant portion of its transformation toward a dragon core.
Her overall cultivation had clearly risen to a new level. This ti, she truly felt as though she had broken beyond the threshold of a titled Douluo.
She quietly turned around—and t a pair of bright, gentle eyes.
With a warm smile, he opened his arms to her.
“Thank you, Xuanyu. This is incredible. I think I can already be considered a Titled Douluo now. Even without soul rings, my physical strength is on a completely different level than before.” Bai Xiuxiu threw herself into his embrace, wrapping her arms tightly around him.
The mont Lan Xuanyu held her soft body, he couldn’t help but feel a trace of regret. Bai Xiuxiu was still dressed exactly as she had been during cultivation—her back exposed to the air. Her smooth skin felt almost too good to the touch, and that slender waist in his arms was…
Bai Xiuxiu also sensed the awkwardness of the mont, yet this ti she didn’t move away. Instead, she let him hold her, even tightening her embrace slightly, pressing herself closer against him.
“I’m beginning to understand more and more why you were willing to take such risks to stay here. Only here can we step onto the stage of this world as quickly as possible. This feeling… it’s truly amazing,” she said softly.
“Mhm.” Lan Xuanyu gently gathered her long hair and let it fall over her back, covering her delicate skin. As he softly stroked her hair, his eyes were filled with quiet contentnt.
A single night of cultivation had also benefited him greatly. With the dragon crystal in hand, he no longer needed to worry about lacking dragon energy for cultivation—at least for the ti being. Its effect was no worse than absorbing dragon energy on the Ascension Platform.
He couldn’t help but wonder what the championship reward of the Rising Dragon Competition would be. If it were dragon crystals or dragon marrow, that would be ideal.
After quite so ti, Bai Xiuxiu finally rose, placing her hands on his shoulders.
“Let’s go get sothing to eat. Then you should try the dragon marrow too. The effects are really strong—almost overwhelming. At the ti, I felt like my spine had turned to ashes. But after a night of cultivation, it feels as though my marrow has lted and fused with my bloodline power and soul power. I can even control it a little now.”
“The strength it brings is completely different from normal physical power—it cos from the inside out. It not only grants strength but also tempers the bones in reverse. The bones then influence the flesh and ridians, eventually feeding back to the skin. The cultivation thods of the Dragon Clan here are completely different from ours—but the results are extraordinary.”
As she spoke, her figure flashed, landing beside the bed. Before Lan Xuanyu could reply, she had already gone to change her clothes.
Feeling the lingering warmth and fragrance in his arms, a smile couldn’t help but appear on Lan Xuanyu’s face. In this place, where danger could arise at any mont, such warmth was the best way to ease one’s mind.
Floating down from the bed, Lan Xuanyu also examined his own condition. The effects of Dragon Force body tempering were indeed remarkable, but his progress was noticeably slower than Bai Xiuxiu’s—simply because his physical foundation was already much stronger. Still, as long as he continued improving, that was what mattered.
Marrow tempering was likely the next step after body tempering with Dragon Force. For now, there was no need for him to rush into it. He could experint, but his priority remained completing the full tempering of his body. At present, marrow tempering served the broader purpose of body refinent.
Once his entire body had been fully tempered, he should be able to attempt breaking through to the next bottleneck. However, his path to marrow tempering would likely differ from Bai Xiuxiu’s—what he needed to invest and consu would not be the sa.
He also wondered whether his Annihilation Thunder would be effective during marrow tempering. According to Uncle Le, once he broke through to the seventh ring and gained control over the dark elent, his Annihilation Thunder would evolve from four colors to seven, becoming far more powerful.
Gradually, Lan Xuanyu had begun to develop a body-tempering thod unique to himself.
It was built upon combining his use of Annihilation Thunder with the Dragon Force tempering techniques he had learned on Celestial Dragon Planet.
The two complented each other—using Annihilation Thunder to guide Dragon Force through the tempering process. Simply burning his bloodline power alone wasn’t particularly effective, but when combined with Annihilation Thunder, the result was far beyond a simple addition.
Of course, this required extre caution. The demand for Dragon Force beca especially significant. His tempering speed was much slower than Bai Xiuxiu’s, yet the amount of Dragon Force he consud was many tis greater.
But the results were equally astonishing. Every part of his body that completed tempering beca capable of easily withstanding the level of energy produced by Annihilation Thunder. If he could fully temper his entire body, its strength would reach a terrifying level—possibly even surpassing divine-grade tals forged by god-tier blacksmiths undergoing four-elent lightning tribulations.
At that point, chas and Battle Armor would hold little aning for him. His body alone would surpass them. In his Martial Soul Avatar form as a divine dragon, he might even be able to fly freely through space, sustaining himself in a self-contained cycle.
The more he cultivated using Dragon Force tempering, the more Lan Xuanyu understood the true strength of the Dragon Clan on Celestial Dragon Planet.
This thod was like forging tal—continuously hamring and refining the body, driving constant evolution. Yet the malleability of a dragon’s body far exceeded any rare tal. At the peak, reaching the super-god level, their bodies could beco so powerful that even stars would fail to damage them. That was the most terrifying aspect of all.
Breakfast had already been prepared—lavish as always. In fact, even if Lan Xuanyu and Bai Xiuxiu remained in seclusion and missed als, soone would still prepare food for them each ti.
Huang Yuanlang did not appear, his whereabouts unknown. After the thousand-year contract was completed, the Huang Family regarded Lan Xuanyu and Bai Xiuxiu differently—but it also ant the two were completely bound to them, to the point that the Huang Family no longer felt the need to monitor them closely.
After breakfast, Lan Xuanyu returned to the room with Bai Xiuxiu. He first teleported to his companions, helping them with body tempering, before returning again.
After a full day of cultivation—and assisting his companions—the dragon crystal in his possession had barely changed. Its energy remained incredibly abundant, truly a rare and precious treasure.
What Lan Xuanyu didn’t know was that as dragons aged and approached death, their life energy diminished—but instead of dissipating, it was absorbed into their dragon crystals. The older the dragon, the more imnse the energy stored within its crystal.
When a Higher Dragon Clan mber died of old age, nearly all of its life’s essence would be concentrated in its dragon crystal and dragon marrow. The rest of its body held far less value.
Lan Xuanyu then attempted using dragon marrow for cultivation for the first ti. Just as he had expected, his reaction was far less intense than Bai Xiuxiu’s. He could feel his spine burning, but the sensation wasn’t particularly strong. Only after applying it three tis did the feeling intensify sowhat.
Even so, the assistance of dragon marrow clearly accelerated his tempering progress. The strengthening of his spinal marrow allowed him to endure the combined tempering of Annihilation Thunder and Dragon Force for longer periods, naturally improving the results.
Having access to such rare treasures while cultivating at high speed—this kind of life was truly wonderful.
And in the midst of it all, ti passed swiftly.
