If this location was already exposed, it might implicate the people of Lin Family Village, so it was better to have everyone evacuated.

If they all retreated to Beiyan, it would draw attention, essentially revealing that the Silver Mine was manipulated by Beiyan people!
“Xiao Liu, tell i Er to erase all traces of Lin Family Village and the Silver Mine docunts. Don’t let anyone discover anything, and have him keep an eye on this matter. If anything changes, have him delay them to buy us more evacuation ti.”
It’s unclear if the two had already sent out the information, and how much had gotten out. If their master behind them knew, it would likely have broad implications. This mine initially belonged to the Jin family, and it couldn’t implicate Jin Yu.
