Christina dared not say much.

She suppressed the fear in her heart, tried to think positively, and accepted the reality.

At least, this was the city center of Floral City Pariel.

If soone were to brazenly attack the Earl’s family, it probably ant the entire city’s security had failed.

The clock on the wall showed it was not yet one in the afternoon.

The Bathist family had just finished lunch.

As usual, everyone gradually left the dining room to go about their own business.

At this mont, the dispersed family mbers made Christina feel as if everything was back to normal, and her heartbeat slowed accordingly.

The butler nad Rocky also began his work, directing the afternoon tasks of the mansion’s servants.

Although Christina felt the danger did not seem as imminent.

She always felt sothing was off about the family.

The weird sensation during the lunch was definitely not unfounded!!

Just thinking about those eerily enchanting green eyes made her skin crawl.

On the first floor of the estate, Christina walked as if nothing mattered, glancing at her father and mother who were still sitting in the dining room from the corner of her eye.

They were chatting with Butler Rocky after the al.

Christina could not hear what they were specifically talking about.

However, her father had a pleased smile whenever he spoke to Rocky, as if he found a confidant, and her mother’s cheeks slightly reddened from his complints.

After a while, Butler Rocky exited the dining room.

Her brother, Kyle, then approached the butler.

"Mr. Rocky, do you have ti this afternoon?"

"Of course."

"Then I’d like to reserve so of your ti."

"No problem, allow to check my work schedule."

Christina watched, sowhat incredulously, as the butler and her brother walked past her, heading towards the second floor.

Even her brother, who was usually extravagant, had beco as respectful as a gentleman, calling him a teacher.

Kyle followed beside Butler Rocky, looking like a student with a professor, discussing academic topics as they walked.

She thought to herself that she had only been away for a month!

After that, her younger sister and cousins surrounded Rocky, clamoring for him to play with them.

Rocky then began to appease them one by one.

From afar.

"Mr. Rocky McCarthy, how many days have you been working here?"

Christina quickly waved over a serving maid in the parlor, watching the butler’s disappearing figure as she asked.

"Three days."

The maid with green hair, of the Demon Race, curtseyed and replied,

"To be precise, two and a half days? Mr. Kyle brought Mr. Rocky back with him at noon the day before yesterday."

The serving Demon Race maid added, looking at the clock.

"¿"

Christina felt a tingling in her scalp as if she had seen the Evil God.

At that mont, Butler Rocky turned his head back.

It seed that Rocky had seen everything, as if his back had eyes.

The butler’s eyes t with Christina’s.

Christina quickly lowered her head to hide her trembling gaze.

"Young Master Kyle, exc– ..."

Butler Rocky excused himself to the blond young earl beside him, as he patted the heads of the younger brother and sisters.

"No problem, go ahead."

Young Master Kyle casually patted Rocky’s arm.

Then the butler approached Christina in the parlor.

"Miss Christina, are you doing well?"

Butler Rocky walked down from the broad staircase beside the second floor, coming to the parlor where he asked Christina and the serving maid.

"I’m fine."

Christina said to the butler, watching him warily.

She subconsciously constructed spells that would allow her to preempt any ntal magic.

"Firstly, Miss Christina, I am not a mage of the ntal series."

Butler Rocky said with a wry smile,

"If you suspect that I have been using magic in the mansion, feel free to take your family for a check-up. I will not hinder you."

He said slightly sorrowfully.

"..."

Feeling slightly embarrassed at having her spells detected, Christina knew so basics about spiritual magic, as she was an educated woman.

To achieve true ntal dominion, rather a straightforward mind control of the body, was a million tis more difficult.

Moreover, such mind-controlling magic was extrely high in both rank and grade and ca with stringent conditions. Deploying it in a residential area of Floral City Pariel would surely trigger the response of a surveillance barrier.

Her family also had a protective enchantnt passed down from her ancestors.

It was indeed highly improbable.

"So, Miss Christina, should you need anything, you can find at any ti. Of course, my working hours are every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday, from 8 A.M. to 5 P.M., and I take a break from 1 P.M. to 2 P.M.,"

The butler said politely, bidding farewell to Christina and the serving maid.

For a long while, Christina still stood in the parlor.

"You may go about your business."

Christina said to the serving maid, then walked through the corridor on the first floor of the count’s mansion, frowning in thought.

No matter how much she thought about it, sothing seed off.

Her family acted as if they were under soone’s control.

Her father and mother were okay, rely showing an unusual fondness for Rocky.

Her brother and uncle were the most abnormal.

If it wasn’t spiritual magic, could it be an alchemist?

Suppose soone used a special potion to drug the family during als, it might induce hallucinations and achieve short-term control!

That way, it would be unrelated to rank and would not trigger a magic power detection response.

The more Christina thought about it, the more plausible it seed.

She quickened her pace towards the kitchen.

After all, the house’s demon servants looked normal; it was just her family mbers who had changed!

The servants hadn’t eaten the main als from their family’s dining table.
