Amidst the vast dimness within the palace, Marquis Ulysses’s hand sliced through the shadows, droplets of crimson blood connecting in mid-air into totems and bursting into existence.

As if rging darkness with light’ it was the embodint of art as well as the harbinger of destruction.

The cry of the Crimson Blood Eagle resonated across the sky, its feathers glistening with a sanguine luster, its eyes like two blazing gems, as the might of an eighth-order bloodkin was fully displayed.

Marquis Ulysses lowered his arm, and the giant eagle soared high with a flap, transforming into a blood-red storm with lightning speed, sweeping forward.

Though still unable to reach the throne, at this distance, the summoned blood eagle could circumvent several layers of barriers and attack McCarthy before its real body.

"If you’re looking for entertainnt, you’re better suited to fighting wild beasts,"

Ulysses said,

"Before it gnaws you to the bone, let see your strength."

With just a simple flap of its wings, the Crimson Blood Eagle stirred a violent wind, striking the barrier in front of Lanci and sweeping the palace’s carpet clean of dust and smoke, creating a series of thunderous echoes.

"..."

Lanci observed the dream of True Night Sir, diligently waking her up, and simultaneously lifted his head, locking eyes with Marquis Ulysses.

"Don’t look at , your opponent is it."

The Tenth Ancestor Ulysses commanded the eighth-order blood eagle to continue breaking through the barriers.

Although the blood eagle was far from as strong as his own body, the remaining barriers in front of Lanci would not last long.

"Damn it!"

The Fallen Queen on the distant throne pedestal clenched her teeth.

The might of the Tenth Ancestor, even capable of accelerating the breaching of barriers, once he truly summoned a host of summons, the barriers would collapse even faster!

"What do you think? Strength is the essence of summons, can your half-hearted determination and painting skill create sothing that surpasses my summons?"

The Tenth Ancestor Ulysses asked.

"..."

Lanci didn’t reply, his hand made a slight movent, casting an orange streak of light, noticeably distinct in texture making it seem both illusory and ethereal, the flowing designs on the card pulsating like a living heartbeat as if hovering on the edge between the tangible and the intangible.

That magic card suddenly beca luminous.

Its entangled spirals separated with the release of power, coalescing into a massive vortex.

The runes surrounding the Regency Hall twisted, drawn, and even torn apart by the vortex.

After stabilizing quickly, the center of the vortex split open, revealing its true form—a massive wolf, wrapped in blood-red runes resembling cracks in space and ti, roving over its pitch-black, profound body.

The red lines on its body shimred and breathed like the force that split heaven and earth, as if they were tied to another dinsion.

Boom!!

A sound like a clash of tals erupted.

Marquis Ulysses’s giant eagle collided with the barrier’s light, scattering in the impact like sparks flying through the air, but before it could fully break the barrier, the mysterious colossal beast summoned by Lanci leaped fiercely, its jaws wide open, swallowing the blood eagle that was vigorously trying to break the barrier, much to the stunned disbelief of the Fallen Queen.

The ferocity of the Crimson Blood Eagle and the ruthlessness of the Giant Wolf reached their climax in that mont, then extinguished, plunging the palace into a brief silence.

With the disappearance of the giant eagle, a hint of surprise surfaced on Marquis Ulysses’s face, while Lanci remained as composed as ever.

"...?"

The Tenth Ancestor Ulysses gazed at the Epic Giant Wolf, baffled.

Unlike the previous Purgatory Spirits, this unusual wolf bore a Magic Fluctuation deeply entwined with the Radiant Demon, clearly crafted by the Radiant Demon before him.

To Ulysses, the fact that his eighth-order bloodkin eagle was so easily defeated by the other’s Giant Wolf, was undoubtedly a colossal defeat.

"Hahaha, summoning summons to fight is really tiring, I guess it’s a tie,"

Lanci comnted with a laugh.

His words caused a slight twitch in the Fallen Queen’s eyelids.

It seed he really cared about preserving Ulysses’s dignity; he didn’t mock Ulysses but even offered such a diplomatic remark.

He was really too kind.

But no matter how you heard it, Calila felt that Lanci might also be suprely insulting the Tenth Ancestor in his own way.

"With such skill, you could easily join the ranks of the recognized Great Demon Clan with your special abilities and artistic talent, why hide your na and be an unknown Great Demon?"

The Tenth Ancestor Marquis Ulysses finally asked, intently facing the Demon Race before him,

"No, why would such a talented and powerful Great Demon like you choose to be a rchant?!"

More than just a simple work of art, it was this unreasonable Epic Giant Wolf that convinced Ulysses that McCarthy was not so simple.

He sped up the barrier dissolution by a fraction, continuously causing invisible barriers to appear in mid-air like glass with spiderweb cracks, then shattering and crumbling.

If this continued, an unsettling premonition welled up in Ulysses’s heart!

"Because I’ve grown tired of painting,"

Lanci replied simply with a shrug.

He still looked as calm as ever.

"Grown tired... of it?"

The Tenth Ancestor Ulysses’s voice carried disbelief.

"Yes, after mastering painting, one cos to realize sothing, that painting is really nothing special,"

Lanci continued,

"As a youth, I thought it was good, but one day I suddenly understood that only world peace is the most honorable and exalted pursuit."
