In the Demon Classroom, which had turned into a banquet of slaughter, ti seed to elongate as each second beca painfully long.
The candlelight on the wall lamp also flickered slightly, sotis bright, sotis dark, as if counting down to the impending end of the exam that was increasingly coinciding with death.
Hyperion, seated in the back row, gave up thinking.
She was completely at a loss as to what Lanci intended to do.
However, previous interaction and collaboration experiences suggested that if she couldn’t keep up with Lanci’s ideas for the ti being, that ant she was still normal.
She just needed to keep an eye on Lanci.
Her duty seed more like that of a nanny who was in charge of covering for him when necessary.
So under Hyperion’s silent observation, for a short ti, Lanci briefly stopped reporting examinees and began to write sothing on the parchnt examination paper.
As if he was waiting for the right opportunity.
This went on until several seconds had passed.
Lanci put down the pen in his hand and naturally rested both hands on the back of the chair.
Once again, he assud the role of the third invigilator.
Soon Lanci found a student who had already cheated and directly raised his hand to report it.
Hyperion kept her head down in silence on the side.
Although she didn’t know what Lanci was waiting for, she had a premonition that sothing abnormal was going to happen soon.
...
This ti, the Dragon Demon was still closer to the reported student.
He began to stride towards the cheating examinee, executing him with brutal delight.
Lanci leisurely observed the overall situation, his gaze never strayed from the two demon invigilators.
Now was the ti.
There would be a short period of ti—
The Dragon Demon, indulging in the pleasure of slaughter, paid no attention to any student, while the focus of the Owl Demon was limited, plunging him into a blind spot in his field of vision.
This was the longest blind spot that Lanci could artificially create in both invigilators’ field of view.
This period of ti was just enough.
As he silently counted the seconds in his heart, a Magic Card also appeared in the palm of his hidden hands.
As if assured that he had reached a certain mont, Lanci directly used the [Basic Etiquette] card in his hand and selected a demon invigilator diagonally in front of him to kneel before him!
"Thump!"
That demon student abruptly twisted his body uncontrollably and knelt before Lanci.
Lanci raised his hand again and shouted loudly, "Teacher, he looked back to copy the answers!"
The Owl Demon who was invigilating, and the Dragon Demon who was still savoring the aftermath of the execution, both noticed the demon student who suddenly turned and knelt on his chair to look back.
The unfortunate demon student, his neck covered in green scales, opened his tear-filled eyes, trembling lips unable to formulate words.
He didn’t know why he suddenly turned to look behind him as if being possessed, and was consequently reported.
However, with such a conspicuous gesture, there was no room for denial.
So, the two invigilators, each seeing the student’s ntal breakdown, swiftly approached him!
This was unlike any previous occasion.
Before, either the Dragon Demon or the Owl Demon would act.
They seed to follow a certain rule and would simply determine which of them could reach the cheating examinee faster, and the other would continue to invigilate.
But this ti,
like coincidentally.
Both of them thought they could be the first to reach the cheating examinee and execute him.
Thus, both the Owl Demon and the Dragon Demon took action.
"..."
Lanci in the back row lowered his head, lightly tapping his elbow with his index finger.
He continued to calculate in his mind.
The current scenario matched his computation exactly.
He had long recorded the pattern of the two invigilators’ actions based on the tiline and deduced the speed of the two demons.
Thus, one can easily infer a particular point in ti -
If a student at a fixed location is reported at these points in ti, the two invigilators, if they set off simultaneously, would also arrive at the reported student’s side at the sa ti!
Given the unmistakable lust for killing from the two invigilators, they would certainly not give up this opportunity willingly.
Now, Lanci has successfully created such a situation.
...
At the aisle side two rows diagonally forward from Lanci’s seat.
The Dragon Demon, who was about to execute a cheating student, had his wrist grabbed by the Owl Demon.
"I was here first."
"Don’t be too greedy."
"Let go."
"It’s you who should take your hand away."
The words of the Owl Demon were cold, as if it held considerable resentnt towards the Dragon Demon in its heart.
The murderous desires of the two high-order demons seed to heat up with rage, gradually shifting towards each other.
"..."
Though Hyperion hadn’t turned to look at the situation two rows ahead of her on the right, her heart started to pound!
She seed to have a vague idea of what Lanci was planning.
It seed like Lanci had gone mad!
But Hyperion wasn’t sure whether Lanci, by summoning his trump card [Great Love Poet] at this mont, could ignite the fury of the two demon invigilators completely and drive them mad.
In spite of their strong murderous desires, the two high-order demons had always maintained their rationality and followed the rules of invigilation, never resorting to violence.
However.
Hyperion seed to feel Lanci chuckling.
None of the demons in the exam room noticed a tiny bug flying on the ground secretly climbing up the suit of the Dragon Demon.
[Friendship Forever Bug]
[Category: Summon Card]
[Grade: Blue Preciousness]
[Level: 1]
[Effect: Can learn to hear the voice of the target, and then make a sound according to the summoner’s intentions.]
[Note: If you can’t talk, I’ll do the talking for you.]
It was one of the few finished cards that Lanci had made apart from [Basic Etiquette] and [Friendly Exchange].
The two demon invigilators were still threatening each other, their cold eyes filling the exam room with a tense atmosphere.
At the mont when the atmosphere was about to hit the freezing point.
"You slow-witted fool of a bird deserve to eat shit. Get the fuck out or I’ll pluck the feathers from your head and stuff them up your ass. Just like your damned clan, you deserve nothing better than to eat shit."
The voice of the Dragon Demon, ca from his body, and abruptly issued towards the Owl Demon.
"Roar...!"
The Dragon Demon intended to say sothing, with his mouth wide open, but a sharp pain in his throat only allowed a hoarse roar to escape.
He had no idea where the voice ca from, only feeling the grip of the Owl Demon on his wrist getting ever tighter!
And in the eyes of the Owl Demon, the surprise look of the Dragon Demon with his eyes wide open seed like an extre taunt.
...
[Friendship Forever Bug] was a magic card created by Lanci to be used in conjunction with [Friendly Exchange].
During face-to-face combat, aside from its buzzing and taunting the opponent, this bug didn’t serve much of a substantive purpose.
It could easily be killed by a small-area spell.
Previously, during the third round of the entrance exam against a single invigilator, Lanci, out of caution, brought all his highly efficient Error Treatnt Spell Cards, specializing in single-handed battles against mages.
However, this ti, as he entered the real Shadow World where he would face various complexities, he brought along all his "Lanji Fine Products" Blue Preciousness first-order cards.
"When a conflict occurs among colleagues, one shouldn’t always swallow insults and bear grievances. Only by venting the resentnt in their hearts could they find a chance for reconciliation."
Lanci sat leisurely in the back row, propping up his chin, watching the Dragon Demon and the Owl Demon, who were just about to fight, and comnted.
He knew, now, it was ti to have a heart-to-heart with the two of them.
