In the classroom of the Shadow World Demon Academy.

This unique dim atmosphere made ti seem to slow down, each second felt like an eternity encapsulated in amber.

The red tablecloth was particularly eye-catching under the faint light, its intensively deep and rich red hues were provocative, yet possessed a sense of artistic beauty.

In this classroom, light and shadow, clarity and obscurity, stillness and movent were all rhythmically ebbing and flowing.

Apparently, the examination had already begun.

Lanci knew that observation and understanding of the situation and reality were of utmost importance after coming to the Shadow World.

The Shadow World was often rational.

Unless the Challengers made mistakes or failed, there wouldn’t be a situation where death was inevitable and no solutions were available.

Lanci’s piercing green eyes scanned the classroom environnt, the faint light danced in his pupils.

Despite his efforts to minimize his movents, he quickly noticed the irregular behavior of a few students.

Their gleaming eyes, and occasional slight turns of their heads, all were planning to cheat.

Suddenly, a hoarse voice pierced through the silent and depressive space.

"I will only warn once, any whispering will be considered cheating."

This was the voice of the invigilator making his rounds in the examination field, like a lion’s roar, exploding in the classroom.

The demon students, who were planning to steal glances, were imdiately frightened to their wits end by this ruthless warning.

These demon students, who were nearly caught, quickly lowered their heads and montarily focused all their attention on their papers. Their faces were filled with terror and anxiety, sweating like dewdrops on a leaf, trembling, threatening to drip at any mont.

Even though they themselves looked exceedingly ghastly, it was apparent who was stronger and who was weaker under the deterrence of the demon invigilator.

Then.

The invigilator resud his thodical patrolling.

But when the demon invigilator turned his head, a ferocious smile was barely concealed at the corner of his mouth. Like a caged beast yearning for a kill, he was staring at the cage, waiting for the perfect mont to pounce.

"..."

Lanci silently took all of this in.

The strength of the demon students was actually quite easy to judge.

Their magic power wasn’t too exaggerated, most of them were about equal to Lanci Hyperion in terms of second-order or third-order magic.

The demon invigilator who scared them into such a state might be more than just fourth-order.

He was likely fifth-order.

So, with two terrifying fifth-order demons, it was certainly impossible to brute force through this initial Demon Examination Field to other areas.

However, Lanci also discovered a piece of good news—

Hyperion was sitting to his left.

There was only the distance of an empty seat in between them.

This feeling was strikingly similar to when they used to sit in the back row of Sage Academy prior to skipping classes.

They felt like they were being dragged back to their school classrooms again, beyond the fear of death.

Hyperion’s appearance hadn’t changed, she just had a few more features of the Demon Race.

This assured Lanci that his own appearance hadn’t changed much, because in their brief eye contact, Hyperion had recognized him.

Just that Lanci didn’t know why, but Hyperion, who is always calm and rational, seed to have a very bad complexion at the mont.

Moreover, during their brief eye contact just now, Hyperion’s evasive eyes seed to be very afraid of him seeing her in this demon form.

"..."

So Lanci once again lowered his head and looked at the things in front of him on the table.

The parchnt examination paper with the school emblem at the top, it was as if it had a ferocious demon head printed on it, its two eyes burned like flas, as though it was looking at him from another world.

The inkwell at the side, made out of Demon Crystal, with Mithril inlaid around the mouth of the bottle, filled with jet-black ink that seed to stay still, as if it was filled with a heavy magic power that had been stabilized.

The feather of the quill was pitch black, the sharp tip sparkled with a tallic luster, the handle was carved with unknown patterns reflecting a cold deep red.

It looked very much like a set of retro Magic Scroll crafting tools.

As expected, it was an examination on Demon Magic Text, the student’s answers were not only written, but also inscribed similar to the making of a Magic Scroll.

He directly looked at the final main question.

Because he didn’t know how to answer the ones before it.

[Tenth Question (12 Points): Please write out magical spells that can be used when dealing with rare materials, which can achieve the following effects:]

[1. Make the magical beast quickly shed its sharp fur]

[2. Make the color of the magical beast’s fur change]

[3. Make the magical beast’s fur slightly harden or soften]

After simply skimming through the entire examination paper, Lanci couldn’t help but take a deep breath.

He couldn’t answer even a single sub-question.

Lanci found that although the magic of the demons was strange, there was indeed sothing valuable about it as they involved so principles that Human Magic Text could not achieve.

For example, these three utility magic spells did not exist in the Human Magic of the present world.

He was now certain these questions were not ant for humans. Even Talia may not necessarily know the ancient Demon Clan Magic on this examination paper. The ti difference was too great, and many civilizations of various races could experience periods of discontinuity and disappearance.

But, Lanci couldn’t do it.

He gripped the parchnt examination tightly, unable to conceal the excitent in his eyes.

The three spells written about at the end of the paper, he desperately wanted to learn!

Since there exists such magic in the examination question, the school must teach this kind of magic sowhere.

This ancient Demon Clan Magic could be useful with livestock, however, if one, who’s proficient in both Demon Magic and Human Magic and is a master of Magical Engineering, could use the latest modern technology to improve it—

Was there a possibility to create a version that could also be used on humans?

Lanci fell into deep thought.

His thirst for knowledge was consuming!

Lanci already started imagining in his mind the release of a new autumn product—

In daily life, we often find other people’s hairstyles unattractive, even going so far as wanting to adjust their hairstyles ourselves.

Clearly, this is a friendly act of helping others, and a lofty pursuit of the unity of subjectivity and objectivity in aesthetics.

So, at this point, "the magic to change other people’s hair" becos very practical.

As an artist, Lanci felt it was necessary for him to master this theoretically possible spell.

He also had to consider whether this was his only chance in this life—to steal the ancient Demon Clan Magic written in the examination paper, and bring it back to the present world to research a new practical spell with Talia!

In that case, he must hasten to pass this examination!

For now, Lanci took another glance at Hyperion when the two invigilators both fell into a blind spot in their field of vision.

Hyperion seed to be struggling for an unknown reason.

He didn’t have many opportunities to communicate with her at the mont.

He thought he could only wait until they both passed this examination field before he could ask Hyperion if she was okay.

If so, it’s ti to see how he performs!
