She glanced down at her attire, considered for a mont, dropped the docunt, and stood up to walk towards her living quarters, her steps filled with vigor as she walked through the halls of Demon King Palace.
...
Dozens of minutes later.
Demon World Royal City, Naka Island, two hours past sunrise, and it's cloudy today.
Clouds and mist swirled above the island, while twilight shrouded the ground; this ancient Demon Race city-state seed like it was asleep on the edge of ti, perpetually waiting for the dawn yet forever in the last second of the night.
The royal palace stood tall and majestic in the center of Necaris, close to the coast of Naka Island.
The foundation level at the front square served as a reception and security checkpoint, linked to the Coastal Boulevard, and it was open to the public most of the ti, allowing the Demon Race to visit and learn the history of the Demon World.
Usually order here was strict, but this morning the buildings surrounding the Nikaliss Demon King Palace were in a closed-off state, reserved for political figures.
Only a few privileged mbers of the Demon Race, with urgent matters to attend to, would cross the long steps of the palace square to enter the Demon King Palace, passing through the long hallways of the royal palace, to handle indispensable routine work.
The first floor was allocated for the Regency Hall, offices, and the rest area for the nobility, also forming the core area for internal work and etings of the royal palace.
Regarding the off-limit second floor and above.
Only royal family mbers, summoned ones, and the Acting Regent King had access.
At this mont, on the second floor.
"Mr. Headmaster, Sir logas has been waiting for you."
A court attendant-looking spy was walking with a Phantom Demon along the second-floor hallway, occasionally accompanied by the sounds of light conversation.
Previously she was in spy attire, and sotis due to work, she would also dress as a court maid.
She had a great deal of respect for the Headmaster of Purgatory Corridor Academy; not to ntion his position as Headmaster, the orders from Blasphemous Lord were explicit to treat him well.
However, the Headmaster had recognized the correct direction to go even before she guided him, as if he had been there before and now it was rely a return to a familiar place.
"Thank you, you've been a great help."
Lanci expressed his gratitude to the Court Ceremony Officer.
The hallway was spacious and bright, adorned with ancient Demon World oil paintings on the walls, and sculptures and antiques placed on both sides, all of which seed familiar to Lanci.
He had sent Siegler away the previous night, and after dining at the Demon King's Restaurant, he headed for the Demon King's Castle.
Lanci left Hyperion back at the Purgatory Corridor Academy to play with her best friend Lisandra, and he granted Lisandra a week's paid leave to have fun with the princess daily.
Ho should be placed in the safest location, bringing only the portable cat bag, and ensuring Talia was in a possessive state.
He had just arrived at Demon World Royal City, Necaris, this morning when logas's people ca to escort him to the Demon King Palace.
This court attendant he t for the first ti seed to be very competent, no less than the previous attendant Lisandra, but whereas Lisandra had a gentle temperant typical of the Calila clan, the current attendant had the reserved temperant of logas clan's special forces within the Demon King's Army.
"You're too kind."
The court attendant thanked him with a slightly relaxed tone.
The Headmaster was wearing a long coat over his formal apparel, with a silver-white mask attached to his waist, a custom of unknown origin.
His race, belonging to the Phantom Demon Race, was similar to the forr Regent Calila, naturally born with light silver-white hair, and that entrancing aura of magic power.
That silver-white mask clearly wasn't in the style of the Demon World; even when viewed from the side, it carried more of a human religious vibe, with soft lines, a serene expression, and eyes filled with compassionate sorrow.
She had originally been worried that the Headmaster who could be considered a friend by Blasphemy Lord logas was going to be an equally terrifying figure, but it turned out he was surprisingly easy-going, not at all like a high-level Demon Race.
As they chatted casually and took the corner.
They saw a silhouette already standing ahead.
The lights adorned the carpet of the hallway; logas was wearing a night-sky black evening gown with hands covered in black silk gloves, her hair was neatly tied at the back of her head, each strand carefully braided, so of it casually resting on her shoulder.
The court attendant stopped abruptly, her eye twitching.
She barely recognized her Blasphemy Lord logas.
Two hours ago, Blasphemy Lord logas did not look like this.
"You can leave him here with ."
Blasphemy Lord logas spoke in a cold tone, glancing at the court attendant.
She saw the impoliteness in her subordinate's thoughts, but she was too lazy to care about it today.
"Yes, my lord."
The court attendant bowed respectfully and then quickly departed.
"Co, I'll take you to the parlor next."
logas did not exhibit any of the slight warmth she had when parting ways with the Pope the last ti.
She regained her characteristic aloofness.
Treating Saint Polante Pope as an enemy.
logas turned and walked forward.
"Miss logas, you might as well treat as a fellow of the Demon World now; I won't fight you."
Lanci said, smiling and keeping pace with her.
"Calling Miss logas again? Forget it, I can't be bothered to argue with you. I can't beat you."
logas spoke with feigned aloofness and distance.
She didn't look back.
But honestly, she had never allowed any Demon Race to address her that way.
After thinking it over, it was unrealistic to expect Saint Polante Pope to call her "Lord logas," so he had to stick with "Miss logas."
logas walked straight toward the parlor in the eastern wing of the palace.
The Phantom Demon followed two steps behind.
Beneath her long dress, logas moved her feet across the chalk stone floor as if gliding, maintaining the dignity of the Demon Race's Regent and steadily reaching the door.
