Demon World, Northern Region.
Naka Island, Demon King Palace.
As the first light of dawn pierced through the clouds and spilled onto the east side of the royal palace, in the Regent King Hall, Sir logas was already handling state affairs at the desk.
She sat upright on the throne inlaid with obsidian and crimson gems, her slender fingertips holding a sharp, jet-black Demon Realm Eagle Feather Pen.
The visage of the Blasphemous Lord was as cold and stern as an ice sculpture, between her brows emanated an aura of stern majesty, as if she were scrutinizing the queen of her own realm.
"Sigh."
Before long, she heaved a sigh, closed the docunt in front of her, and placed it beside her.
logas propped her cheek with her hand, listlessly regarding the official letter.
When relaxed, her composed deanor faded, and it seed like she had been intermittently restless these past few days.
After an indeterminate amount of ti.
"Blasphemy Lord."
A figure of the Demon Race, draped in a pitch-black cloak, silently appeared at the far end of the hall.
The spy's slender figure agile, like a black panther, almost blending into the shadows.
logas sensed the presence of the newcor.
She lifted her head nonchalantly and stared directly at the spy.
"Speak if there's sothing."
logas regarded her most trusted confidant, unsure why she would disturb her, since there were no recent tasks assigned.
The princess was no longer in Demon King Castle Necaris, and the other mbers of the Great Demon Clan were behaving obediently, with the Holy Polante Theocracy and the Huo Ning Empire being surprisingly harmonious.
The spy stepped forward, knelt on one knee, and bowed his head in salute.
"Milady, I have co to report an urgent matter."
The spy did not dare to deploy a Barrier to block detection carelessly, and spoke in a volu audible only to the two of them.
logas' cold fingertips lightly tapped the desktop, casting the Barrier herself, her face betraying no emotion.
"You may proceed."
She said.
"The Headmaster of Purgatory Corridor Academy whom you instructed us to monitor has made a move within Demon World."
The spy's head drooped even lower, his voice becoming rapid and tense.
"Hmm?"
logas, always calm and collected, fixated her gaze on the spy.
She indeed had instructed her subordinates to track the movents of the headmaster, to avoid other short-sighted mbers of the Demon Race causing trouble for him, and to provide him convenience.
But logas did not expect that just a day after her return to Demon King Castle, the Saint Polante Pope, who had just assud the disguise of the headmaster, had already made a move.
Upon deeper consideration, it was Calila who summoned the Saint Polante Pope, and the pope's friendly portrayal of the academy headmaster was indeed intended for him to return to Holy Polante Theocracy to attend to his official duties.
Thinking this, logas couldn't help but feel a tinge of disappointnt.
Although the proud logas wouldn't visit the Purgatory Corridor Academy to seek the headmaster in the short term, if enough ti passed and the headmaster remained in Purgatory City Pasquale, she, as the regent, might have to visit Purgatory City on official duties and encounter him.
"That Phantom Demon Mr. left Purgatory City Pasquale alone last night, riding the Demon World's dragon from Purgatory City, heading quickly towards Demon King Castle Necaris."
The spy, forehead beading with fine cold sweat, watched logas' somber deanor, trying to maintain his composure as he continued reporting,
"And this morning, after the secretary of Purgatory Corridor Academy arrived at work, a ssage was also received from there, seemingly conveying the headmaster's request to et with you."
Crack!
At this, logas' originally pale hand, strained with force, turned bluish-white as she forcefully snapped the pen in her hand.
She slightly opened her mouth, her gaze becoming dark and inscrutable.
The Regent King Hall fell exceptionally silent, filled only with the sound of erratic heartbeats.
The spy dared not lift his head, feeling the sweat soak through the back of his shirt.
His mistress, logas, known for her capricious killings, was unpredictable and might act out in an overly emotional state.
"You said... he wants to et ?"
logas covered her chest to prevent her heart from leaping out.
The pope was still coming alone, not even to return the princess, and more importantly, he specifically asked for her?
"Yes, shall I help you refuse?"
The spy replied quickly and with certainty.
He understood that logas had been in a gloomy mood since returning from Purgatory City these past two days.
Fortunately, the news of the princess's escape had not leaked to other mbers of the Great Demon Clan; such a scandal could shake the royal authority and would certainly undermine logas' prestige and position among the Demon Race.
It seems the Blasphemy Lord had compromised with the princess, agreeing to let her stay in Purgatory City.
And this matter was surely the trigger for the Blasphemy Lord's irritable mood, and none of her subordinates dared make the slightest mistake during this ti.
"Refuse? Are you joking! Invite him to et at Demon King Palace, and make sure not to be discourteous to him."
logas asked incredulously, her slender fingertips tapping the tabletop irritably as she ordered.
"Understood, Blasphemy Lord!"
Hearing this, the spy, feeling a reprieve, hastily agreed.
Although still perplexed, the Blasphemy Lord logas seed to be in a better mood again, so he just had to follow logas' instructions.
"Go quickly."
logas waved her hand impatiently.
The spy transford into a wisp of black smoke and floated away, vanishing from the hall.
The vast hall returned to its quiet solitude.
logas, expressionless, glanced out the window towards Purgatory City, the recent events seeming like an insignificant ripple, but her nervously twitching scorpion-tail fingers betrayed the tumultuous waves in her heart.
