Purgatory Corridor Academy, Basic Layer.

Classroom No. 03.

In this Demon World Experintal Botanical Garden, the fragrance of flowers perated the air, with vast and verdant lawns shimring with dew, spreading out flat and soft like velvet carpets.

Serpentine paths wound their way on either side, flanked by oddly shaped Demon Plants; towering Demon World Eucalyptus trees stood tall and majestic, with dense branches and leaves. Various sizes of Demon World Wildflowers dotted the scenery, while twisty Demon World Vines, covered with sharp thorns, emitted a wild scent.

These plants seed like treasures of the Demon World, blooming exclusively thanks to the nourishnt of this fertile soil.

But at this mont, no student dared to appreciate the beautiful scenery.

All were sitting on the lawn, poised and awaiting orders.

"..."

Hugh, without any Demon Race noticing, had managed to sneak into this classroom undetected.

Perfectly rging with the students.

No one had noticed when an extra student appeared behind a large tree in the blind corner of the lawn.

Hugh had switched classrooms a few tis.

After several narrow escapes from the chase of the Demon King’s Army Investigator, she had arrived at this relatively safe and already-searched location.

The chance of the Demon King’s Army Investigators returning to this classroom anyti soon was slim.

She was very familiar with the current classroom.

It was also the best to hide in.

Because she had once visited the first Shadow World Purgatory Corridor Academy with the Great Love Poet.

After the curriculum change, this level 1 Demon Classroom, specializing in botany, had its topic changed to [Free Observation].

As long as they did not damage the plants, students were free to rest inside the classroom, feel and learn the outline of Demon Plants, and under the guidance of teachers, take care of them.

It was, in fact, a notably more relaxed subject.

Rumor had it that many Demon World Botany specialists had erged from Purgatory Corridor Academy after the curriculum changes.

"Tamisha, you must be hungry," Hugh thought with concern, gently touching the small gray kitten hidden inside her clothing.

She now felt like a mother herself, constantly worried about her baby Tamisha.

But her professional abilities were too rusty.

Always making Tamisha seem disdainful.

Even wishing she could use her paws to teach her how to care for the Demon Race.

Over ti, Hugh had begun to feel that, if Tamisha had the ability, she would probably end up taking care of her instead.

"..."

The kitten fidgeted in her arms, making only slight movents, as if it also understood the need to cooperate and stay hidden.

Hugh was relieved.

Even though Tamisha still refused to transform back into human form in front of her, their relationship had grown much closer.

At this mont, in the early hours of the morning, it was normal for her to feel tired and hungry while traveling with a small gray cat.

But it seed Tamisha could still endure it.

Tamisha possessed self-restraint beyond her years, a deeply disciplined and endearing child.

Hugh was actually feeling a bit hungry too.

Ever since inheriting Tata’s house, spending all day lounging in an armchair, nibbling on snacks, listening to music, and reading the paper, Hugh also felt she got hungry more easily.

Fortunately, she had always kept up with her exercise, so her weight hadn’t changed.

She reminisced about the last ti.

She and the Great Love Poet had laid out a picnic blanket under a towering tree in the Botanical Garden, preparing to enjoy delicacies from the Demon King’s Restaurant under the faintly twinkling stars outside the window.

It was no longer possible to picnic so comfortably anymore.

Hugh’s feelings of nostalgia were clear, written all over her face.

How she longed to picnic here with Tata, to see his happy face.

Back then, she had not yet encountered the Tata from Boss Cat Restaurant, nor had she realized that Tata and the Great Love Poet looked exactly the sa.

It would have been nice if Siegler was with them too.

Although the four Shadow Worlds were connected as different slices of ti, why would she have such dreams?

Hugh pondered.

"..."

Sitting on the soft lawn, Hugh stroked the cat inside her clothes with one hand, while her delicate other hand gently touched the plants.

She gazed at the flowers, her heart a mix of relief and worry—unsure whether to feel content or anxious.

At tis like these, she could only make the best of a bad situation by thinking of happier tis to make it feel like ti was passing more quickly.

As long as no unusual mbers of the Great Demon Clan took action, she should be able to hide in Purgatory Corridor Academy for a very long ti, until Lanci ca to find her.

The Magic Lamp emanated a subtle twilight glow, illuminating the full and upright plants, casting a halo that blurred their outlines, giving them an air of spectral mystery like ghosts in the night fog.

In this tranquil and harmonious atmosphere that made one forget the passage of ti, who knew how long she had spent.

Suddenly, a fierce cold breeze howled past, rustling the leaves noisily.

Several students in the classroom looked up.

They vaguely felt the world before them darken montarily.

The gradually cooling stars seed to grow dimr, and the forrly peaceful Botanical Garden was shrouded in an eerie, indescribable mist.

The next mont.

A shrill sonic boom echoed across the open adow.

Causing Hugh to shudder!

With the sensation of pins and needles on her back, she imdiately tensed the muscles in her legs, alertly perceiving her surroundings.

A persistent hum enveloped Hugh’s ears, disrupting her senses, as if even her spatial perception had beco distorted.

The small gray cat, too, sensed the danger in her arms and began to stir.

Just as Hugh had disappeared with Invisibility, her hoary eyes moving leftward, she witnessed a surge of purple Magic Power burst forth like chains, tearing through the air and raising waves interweaving corrosive mists with the sea of flowers, like a steel beast rampaging amongst sheep.
