Richard Donovan and Old Master Donovan frowned together.

Today is Yvonne Donovan’s engagent, and everyone hoped for a smooth and grand event.

But now, Yvonne Donovan’s little pet was skinned and died tragically.

This was a significant blow to Yvonne Donovan, and she cried herself hoarse, her heart breaking.

"Quickly get soone over here to deal with the cat’s corpse first."

Richard Donovan wanted to handle the situation quickly and then comfort Yvonne Donovan.

The guests had been invited, and if the engagent was not held, it would be a laughingstock.

Moreover, the Zachary Family would be hard to deal with.

Therefore, Richard Donovan had to prioritize and deal with the matter first.

But because of his words, Yvonne suddenly cried out, "At this critical mont, you still want to protect her?"

Her eyes, filled with sorrow, stared fixedly at Richard Donovan.

"Just because she is your biological daughter, you’re even going to cover up her torturing little animals?"

The sudden accusation left Richard Donovan slightly startled.

Even July Quinn, who was suddenly ntioned, was sowhat confused.

She had just been woken up and ca to see who was making such a noise that she couldn’t sleep; how had she tortured a little animal?

Moreover, she quite liked that blue cat.

If she didn’t care, why would she have gone so far to perform surgery on it when its urinary tract was dangerously blocked with a rubber band?

Yvonne Donovan’s accusation made everyone aware of sothing; their gazes at July Quinn beca sowhat evasive.

That feeling was like if they made eye contact with July Quinn, they would end up like the blue cat Mimi, skinned alive by her.

Richard Donovan imdiately realized the implications of Yvonne’s accusation and hastily scolded her.

"Yvonne, there’s no way July did this. I’m not protecting July; I just want your engagent to proceed smoothly."

"How could it not be July Quinn? We all saw her personally cut open Mimi’s belly last ti!"

"Moreover, Mimi was in this state while she lived here..."

In the end, Yvonne was moved to tears again.

Old Master Donovan couldn’t stand to see Yvonne cry and hurried to comfort her.

"Yvonne, don’t worry, grandpa will thoroughly investigate this. If it turns out July Quinn skinned your Mimi, we’ll make sure she’s expelled from the Donovan Family."

Yvonne was grateful. "Grandpa, you’re the best to ."

But Old Master Donovan’s words were not to Richard’s liking.

"Dad, this definitely wasn’t July’s doing, and I’m not going to let anyone expel her!"

"A child with such a cruel heart is a disaster for our family. Aren’t you worried that the next one to be skinned might be you?"

"July is kinder than anyone! She would never skin a small animal, let alone anyone!"

"You rebellious son..."

Perhaps the argunt with Richard was too intense; Old Master Donovan felt a sharp pain in his chest.

Clutching his chest, he stumbled backward.

Yvonne quickly rushed to support Old Master Donovan, "Grandpa, are you okay?"

Richard Donovan hurried forward too, "Dad, how are you?"

"Don’t touch , you rebellious son!"

Old Master Donovan quickly pushed Richard Donovan aside, but Richard couldn’t just leave him like that and called for the family doctor.

In no ti, Old Master Donovan was taken back to his room.

The family doctor arrived first to check his condition.

"Old Master is getting on in years and has high blood pressure; it’s best not to let him get too emotional," the family doctor said.

As soon as the family doctor spoke, Old Master Donovan shouted, "Did you hear that, you rebellious son? Now get that wretched girl out of my house! I no longer want to see that bringer of doom!"
