Richard Donovan was montarily shocked, sowhat in disbelief.

He had been waiting for July Quinn to call him "Dad," not knowing how long he had been waiting.

But July had never called him that, even though he had held a family recognition party for her, July still refused to call him, and he dared not demand it.

Now, July finally said it.

Thousands of words were not enough to describe Richard’s excitent.

Because this represented July’s recognition of him!

Yet amidst his excitent, Richard still noticed the inexplicable sense of loss and despair in July’s eyes as she looked up at the sky.

"July, you calling Dad makes really happy. It ans you truly recognize as your father from the bottom of your heart. But since you really acknowledge as your father, you can also tell the grievances in your heart. No matter what, I can stand up for you."

"Let’s talk about it later, I’m not in the mood to talk right now."

July’s voice was still so hoarse, but there was a faint smile at the corner of her lips.

Because Richard’s love for her made her feel that coming back this ti wasn’t all bad, at least she gained a father’s love, right?

"Then I’ll wait for you to sort out your thoughts, and we can have a good talk."

July couldn’t bring herself to say it, so he’d wait until she could.

Just like how she couldn’t say Dad, Richard believed he would wait until that day.

Later, Richard accompanied July sitting on the swings for quite a while.

Still worried that July might catch a cold, he specially sent for a brazier to keep her warm.

July noticed all of this and felt a bit of warmth in her heart...

Early the next morning, the Donovan Family’s servants were bustling around, arranging everything for Yvonne Donovan’s engagent party today.

But at this mont, Yvonne’s sudden scream pierced through the morning’s joyous tranquility.

Everyone rushed to Yvonne’s room at once, including Richard.

"Yvonne, what happened?" He was still in his pajamas, his hair a bit ssy.

Yesterday, because of what July said, he was so happy that he couldn’t sleep all night, hence he slept in today.

"Dad, over there..."

Yvonne sat in the corner, clutching her blanket, looking terrified as she pointed to a corner.

Following her direction, Old Master Donovan, Richard, the Donovan Family’s butlers, and July, who was awakened from the neighboring room, all looked towards that corner.

There, lay a fleshy lump, bloodied.

"What is that thing?"

"So early in the morning, who threw this thing into your room?"

Old Master Donovan and Richard asked consecutively.

"I don’t know. I saw it as soon as I woke up, it’s so disgusting!"

Yvonne’s face looked quite bad, as if she suddenly thought of sothing: "Mimi?"

"Wasn’t Mimi in your room since yesterday?"

Richard had originally intended to bring Mimi to amuse July, but never saw Mimi leave Yvonne’s room, so he temporarily gave up.

"No, I haven’t seen it since last night."

Yvonne anxiously stood up to look around.

At that mont, she accidentally kicked sothing.

"What is this..."

Then she seed to realize sothing and suddenly squatted in front of the lump, crying.

"Mimi, my Mimi!"

Everyone followed her gaze to the object she was crying over.

It was a lump of fur the sa color as Mimi’s, with skin and blood...

"Who, which of you are so vicious to skin my Mimi on my good day!"
