"The launch ceremony begins..."
With the command from the host, July Quinn, Rhonda Hale, and others walked towards the interface in the middle of the stage that resembled a crystal ball, placing their palms on it.
As they pressed the crystal ball, it lit up, a beam of light radiating from the edges of the crystal ball, illuminating the sky above the entire venue, while confetti and fireworks around the casino erupted simultaneously.
Everything was magnificent, dazzling to the eyes.
But the brilliant light that fell into Simon Hale’s eyes brought him to near despair.
At this mont, Rhonda had finally completed the launch ceremony and was about to go backstage to change out of the dress that paled in comparison to July Quinn’s when a staff mber told her:
"Miss Hale, your father said he has sothing important to tell you."
"Sothing important?"
Just as Rhonda frowned with confusion, Simon Hale hurried to her side.
"Rhonda, you must leave here imdiately."
Simon knew that with July Quinn’s overwhelming presence, there was no escape for him.
But he couldn’t just watch Rhonda’s life be ruined here; she was still so young, unmarried, and without children.
Thus, Simon had decided just monts ago to buy ti for Rhonda to escape.
As for himself, he left it to fate.
"Leave? Why should I leave?" Rhonda was baffled.
The casino had just opened and was already booming with business.
At this rate, Rhonda would soon rise above others, even trampling the casino’s investors under her feet.
The future looked bright, so why should she leave?
"July Quinn is Divine Doctor Quinn from Serenity Clinic, the Monroe Family’s primary heir, here to avenge the Monroes. This is all her setup!"
Simon Hale’s words made Rhonda’s mind buzz with echoes.
"Divine Doctor? Dad, are you joking? How could a doctor have so much money to build a casino?"
Rhonda still found it hard to accept.
"I don’t know how she got the money for a casino, but I know she’s co prepared. And judging from the situation, she’ll act against the Hale Family tonight. While you still have ti, quickly head to the airport; I’ve arranged for soone to take you to Aethelgard, and once there, never return."
Simon knew that he was finished and could no longer protect his beloved daughter.
So, he could only do his best to arrange everything for her.
As he spoke, Simon was already pushing Rhonda towards the casino entrance.
Just then, a luxurious female voice rang out from the stage: "Mr. Hale, Miss Hale, please stay. We haven’t started settling our scores yet."
The mont that voice echoed, the audience instinctively looked towards the stage.
At the sa ti, several uniford individuals blocked Rhonda and Simon’s path.
"Thank you all for taking ti out of your busy schedules to attend the casino’s opening ceremony today, but besides the opening ceremony, there’s sothing even more important."
July Quinn stood in the center of the stage, still wearing that dazzling gold dress, full of charm.
But when Simon and Rhonda saw the stunning woman who was impossibly beautiful, they looked as if they’d seen a ghost.
In panic, Simon anxiously asked, "Has she caught anything against you?"
"I don’t think so, I..."
Rhonda started to say sothing, but then saw the large screen that had been displaying the fireworks suddenly switch to the terms of their initial agreent, showing the unauthorized transfer of public account funds, demanding compensation of a hundredfold.
