Cherish Turner received a call from William Griffith just as she arrived at the doorstep of her ho.
“Hello.”
“It’s .” William Griffith’s voice still sounded a bit weak, but it seed like his health had improved quite a bit.
“I know.”
If he could call her, then he should be fine.
For a mont, neither of them said anything. The night wind still blew, and Cherish stood in the cold breeze but did not feel cold, with an indescribable feeling.
Julian Brown stood there, looking at William Griffith and not knowing whether he should be worried or happy for him.
“When are you coming to see ?” William Griffith suddenly asked, but Cherish had no idea how to respond.
Should she visit him? After all, they didn’t have any real relationship, but… at least they were friends, having t each other.
But Cherish imdiately responded, “I’ll co first thing in the morning tomorrow!”
Her instinctive response seed strange even to her. Why did she promise to visit him?
“Good, I’ll be waiting.” Cherish could hear the anticipation and excitent in his voice.
Her face flushed, exhaling a breath in the cold air, but her heart felt warm.
As for what was going on between her and William Griffith, she didn’t know, but it seed like she sohow owed him, and he had entangled her.
In the past, she honestly found this feeling a bit annoying, but now, it didn’t seem so bad!
She thought that only by maintaining such a relationship could she figure out if the person in the photo was herself, and she wanted to know everything.
But she had a feeling that William wouldn’t tell her, at least not now.
“Then you get so rest, and I’ll see you tomorrow.” Without waiting for William to say anything, she hurriedly hung up the phone. Looking at the words “call ended,” Cherish felt her heart pounding.
It was getting late, so Cherish took out her keys and entered her house. However, it seed like her parents were not ho.
“Mom, I’m ho~”
No one responded to her.
Just as Cherish was wondering where her parents might be, her mother, Mother Turner, ca out of the storage room, followed by her father, Father Turner.
“Dad, Mom, what are you guys doing in there so late at night?”
Mother Turner’s expression seed a little evasive, her face not looking too good, her eyes watery as if she had just cried.
Cherish grew anxious. “Mom, what’s wrong? Did you cry because you’re feeling unwell or because you fought with Dad?”
Upon hearing this, Fanny Turner smiled awkwardly. “How could I ever fight with your mom?”
“Cherish, you’re ho. Why so late today? I was about to call you…”
“Mom…” What’s going on?
“There’s nothing wrong with . I just felt so discomfort in my eyes. Your dad gave
so eye drops and I’m really fine…”
Cherish was a little dense, but even she found this explanation strange. Mother Turner quickly changed the subject and Cherish stopped prying.
However, when she thought of the photos from Deep Wave Mansion, she still felt puzzled.
“Mom, do you think there are people in this world who look exactly like soone else?”
Upon hearing this, Mother Turner’s face turned pale. Father Turner, who was pouring tea beside her, spilled it all over the place…
“Dad?…”
As soon as he heard Cherish, Father Turner quickly pulled back his hand but accidentally knocked over the teacup!
“I’m getting old, just look at how my hand is trembling…Old age…” Fanny Turner muttered to himself but did not dare to look at Cherish. He quickly cleaned up the broken shards and, using the excuse that he was tired, went back to his room first.
Mother Turner glanced at Cherish and then quickly averted her gaze.
What’s going on with this family today? They’re all acting strange.
