Since Cherish Turner returned from her trip, she hadn’t gone back to the training center for her piano lessons. Lucas Max, who taught Cherish piano, was an old friend of hers. It had been half a month since they last t when Lucas finally contacted Cherish to tell her he was going abroad for further studies and wouldn’t return to the country for a while.
They dined together in a restaurant, and this was Elijah Butler’s first encounter with Lucas Max.

Upon seeing Elijah, Daniel frowned and asked unpleasantly, “What are you doing here?”
“Hey, hey, hey, sir! Just because you look decent doesn’t an you can be so rude!” Elijah smiled at him with the microphone in hand, “I should be the one asking you, what are you doing here?”
Daniel clearly disliked the flirtatious Elijah, and it was written all over his face.
“Why are you here, anyway? You and Cherish broke up long ago!”
However, Daniel’s words almost made Elijah drop the microphone, “I am her fiancé.”
Fiancé? Elijah was stunned; she had never known that Cherish had a fiancé.
“Mr. Peacock, please don’t talk nonsense! I don’t have a fiancé!”
“Even if I did, it wouldn’t be you!” Hearing Cherish say this, Elijah imdiately shooed Daniel away like a protective bird.
After he left, Elijah asked Cherish what was going on.

As for the previous rumors about another lady, he claid it was only to protect his fiancée from harassnt. So dia reporters believed it was a smokescreen put out by President Griffith, while others thought there must be sothing fishy about it.
Another month passed, and Miss Grace Harper announced the cancellation of the engagent.
This news caused an imdiate sensation.
The dia’s attention towards both families dramatically increased, becoming a hot topic for the people in Haicheng to talk about during their leisure ti.
Both Yannis Griffith and Grace Harper remained silent and did not provide any further explanations. The heat surrounding this “engagent” drama finally subsided after a month, gradually disappearing from public view.
