Chapter 353: Chapter 353: Cherish, Soone is Looking for You
Cherish Turner got up to make a cup of coffee, then knocked on the editor-in-chief’s office door. After asking about so work she’s going to handle during her ti here, she returned to her seat. In the busy office, one could occasionally hear people shouting and the sound of fingers tapping on keyboards.
She must have been used to such a busy work environnt.
Taking a deep breath, Cherish calmly began to imrse herself in her work.
At around ten o’clock, her colleague Xiao Jiang brought a few cups of milk tea, excitedly rushing over. Quickly distributing the milk tea among her colleagues, she hurriedly carried a cup of milk tea towards Cherish. Without waiting to put down the milk tea, she leaned in close to her ear and whispered mysteriously, “Cherish, soone is waiting for you outside.”
Who? Cherish’s mind raced, hoping for that person to appear. But how could it be? Everyone here knew him.
Seeing Xiao Jiang’s sly smile, Cherish hesitated for a mont before standing up and leaving the office to et the “mysterious stranger.”
Walking along the corridor, she saw a tall figure with his back to her.
The row of windows in the corridor allowed sunlight to shine down, casting its rays upon him.
Perhaps hearing her footsteps, the man turned slowly and faced her.
He smiled warmly, his short hair fluttering in the breeze. The golden sunlight highlighted half of his handso profile, making it even more striking. Seeing her, he squinted slightly and smiled warmly, reminiscent of a gentle spring breeze. Such a refreshing feeling made people involuntarily return a smile.
Cherish looked at him, her eyes lighting up with a smile, “Hi.”
“Hi. I heard you ca back, so I ca to see you.” Yannis Griffith briefly explained as he walked up to her, “Let’s have lunch together.”
In the mont that Yannis turned around, Cherish almost thought it was William Griffith. Yannis had a mask on, and his appearance was very similar to William’s, only their attire and styling were different.
Cherish nodded, “Alright.”
–
When it was ti for lunch break, Cherish went to the agreed-upon restaurant to et up.
It was a Western restaurant with great natural light.
At a glance, she saw Yannis sitting there. A handso and dashing man, his bright eyes watched her approach slowly. Cherish, led by the waiter, walked towards him. Yannis stood up and gently pulled out the chair for her.
“Sit,” he said gentlemanly, gesturing for her to take a seat.
Cherish softly thanked him, displaying a modest smile.
Yannis sat back down and signaled for the waiter to start serving the dishes.
The two of them dined face to face, enjoying a harmonious and peaceful atmosphere. The main course was steak, and Yannis reached for her plate, intending to cut it into small pieces for her. Cherish, however, stopped him, whispering, “Senior, I’ll do it myself.”
Yannis hesitated for a mont and didn’t insist further.
Yannis had heard a bit about her relationship with his elder brother. When his brother went to the United States, and she didn’t, Yannis felt a bit relieved. Though he knew that this thought was not right.
“How is Grace Harper doing?” Cherish asked casually. However, Yannis was not eager to answer this question.
“She’s recovering quite well. It seems you have the heart to care about others now,” Yannis joked. Cherish lowered her head and replied, “It’s really my fault.”
Yannis’s elegant and handso face remained composed, with a hint of sadness in his eyes.
