Chapter 290: Chapter 290: Regret Falling in Love
“Why don’t you trust ?” Seeing her reaction, William Griffith looked at her with imnse sadness and sighed coldly, “Don’t you trust anything I say, yet you believe others with just one word!”
Others? Cherish Turner caught those two words in his sentence and said disappointedly, “Not just , do you truly trust
in your heart? It doesn’t seem like it!”
If he trusted her, he wouldn’t have used this thod.
For a split second, Cherish almost regretted, regretted falling in love with him.
“I won’t sign William, this kind of marriage is not what I want, or else, are you trying to force
to do sothing I don’t want to do again?”
Cherish’s unintentional comnt was indeed true, but it reminded William of the past.
Back when she was still a young girl, the very first‐ti they t.
It was the sa as now. She would ask him if he wanted to force her to do sothing she didn’t want, and many tis afterward, she’d ask the sa question with a detached expression, making his heart ache.
That ti he forced her to do sothing she didn’t want was when he took her by force. Back then, she only had Daniel Peacock in her heart.
So, almost instantly, that uneasiness in William’s heart ignited like a raging fire.
“Even now, can’t you forget about Daniel Peacock, is it? Being with , you feel wronged, right? So all these days, I’ve been forcing you?” He gripped her arm tightly, causing Cherish pain, as she tried to break free, but his strength was too great for her to resist.
She didn’t understand why he had to treat her like this, how was this any different from a barbarian’s behavior!
Cherish couldn’t hold back her anger, and her toughest side ca forth. She was already distressed and frustrated by everything, and when William lit the fuse, she exploded at him!
“Yes, I can’t forget him. We’ve only been apart for a few months, and you expect
to erase him completely from my mind—it’s impossible! Besides, Daniel Peacock never treated
like this!”
Cherish blurted it all out, but as soon as she did, she regretted it. However, she couldn’t bring herself to back down, especially against the unreasonable William.
Having said her piece, Cherish fell silent, turned her head away, and refused to look at William.
William was left speechless, completely infuriated by her words.
Finally, after holding back for a while, he retorted, staring at Cherish, “I treat a dog well, and it knows to wag its tail at . Treating you well… ha…”
He didn’t finish his sentence, but it made Cherish’s blood boil!
What did he an by that? Was he saying she was worse than a dog?
How could he be so cruel, how could he say such things about her?
Feeling her self-esteem seriously damaged, Cherish pushed him away and imdiately tried to leave this wretched place.
But there was no way William would let her go just like that. In one swift move, he flung her onto the couch.
“Don’t think about going anywhere without signing! Cherish, I’m good to you, but I won’t be without expecting sothing in return. You want to go find Daniel Peacock? Do you think I would allow that? You can try, but without my consent, you’ll never get out of here!”
With that, William furiously stord out, slamming the door so hard it left a thunderous echo!
He left, and once again, there was only Cherish in the room, her tears flowing uncontrollably! It made her feel sadder and more upset than ever before.
