On the way back to the hotel, Cherish Turner finally fell asleep in the car due to exhaustion. William Griffith drove while looking at Cherish’s haggard sleeping face, sotis really feeling like a jerk for pursuing a woman to this point—truly ridiculous.

William Griffith carried Cherish into the hotel, but at the door to Cherish’s room, he saw soone he shouldn’t have—Daniel Peacock.
William Griffith didn’t have any good feelings towards this man. Though his own way of monopolizing Cherish was not honorable, he was very disdainful of Daniel Peacock’s affection for Cherish.

When Daniel Peacock saw it was William Griffith, his arrogance diminished sowhat. His words were no longer as forceful as before.
But when it ca to Cherish Turner, he still wanted to fight for her. After all, he had reached a consensus with Chloe Turner.
Chloe wanted William Griffith, while he wanted Cherish.
“Chloe Turner is back; I didn’t expect you could still stay by Cherish Turner’s side like this. President Griffith, aren’t you afraid that one day Cherish will find out everything? Originally, you were engaged to Chloe Turner; you should have married her. Because of his words, Daniel Peacock’s montum weakened. But he had no way out anymore; he could not bear to lose another Cherish Turner in his life.

And this was one of the key reasons why William Griffith didn’t want to bring up the past again.

Even now, William Griffith felt terrified. Every day and night, he thought about what would have happened if the person who walked into the wrong room back then wasn’t him—what would Cherish Turner’s life be like now? It was heartbreaking just thinking about it.
