When Daniel Peacock saw Cherish Turner again, it felt as if a lifeti had passed. There was regret and heartache, but mostly, there was frustration.
Upon hearing Abigail Johnson ntion a delay to their wedding date, he already felt unease. After all, he had just climbed into Kyoto City’s Johnson family, and he could not afford any mistake.
When he discovered that the person who had secretly purchased the developnt land of the Kyoto City Group was actually William Griffith, the frustration in Daniel Peacock’s heart peaked!
He originally thought that Cherish would wallow in sadness for a while after leaving him and would not throw herself into a new relationship so quickly. He felt a sense of superiority towards her, thinking that even if he married Abigail, Cherish would still pine for him, right?

William Griffith’s words were gentle yet assertive. The hand around Cherish’s waist tightened, and she leaned into him.
