Chapter 103: Chapter 103: Old Love, New Affection
How Cherish Turner had returned to Griffith Group, she herself was not clear. Her mind was buzzing with Grace Harper’s words to the point of nearly exploding.
At Griffith, Cherish had gained fa after a single battle. Everyone now looked at this inflatable doll-like girl with new respect, especially after President Griffith had seemingly given her special privileges allowing her to freely enter and exit Griffith Group.
Thomas Harrison was quite surprised when he saw Cherish, as his boss had not ntioned that Cherish would be stopping by.
“Miss Turner, the boss is currently in a eting. Do you want
to announce your presence?”
“No need, Assistant Thomas. Could I possibly wait in President Griffith’s office?”
Thomas nodded after hearing these words. After all, the ongoing eting was quite important, and it would not do to interrupt it.
“Miss Turner, please follow .”
Following Thomas, Cherish arrived at William Griffith’s office. It was not her first ti here, so she was quite familiar with the surroundings. She found a seat and sat down, waiting.
About half an hour later, Cherish had started to get impatient, frequently checking her watch.
Right when Cherish was about to give up and stop waiting, William finally ended his eting and arrived at his office.
Seeing Cherish, William was sowhat surprised. This was her first ti seeking him out like this.
“What brings you here?” William glanced at Cherish, ready to call Thomas over. But Cherish stopped him, “Don’t bla Assistant Thomas for not announcing my arrival. I told him not to disturb you.”
William set aside his phone and affectionately pinched Cherish’s cheek. “How considerate. You’re truly my Cherish.”
Hearing this nickna, Cherish reflexively swatted William’s hand away, the movent quite abrupt.
“What’s wrong?” He asked noticing her apparent foul mood.
“Nothing, William. Where’s my ID card? I want to apply for a passport and visa. I need it.” She reached out, only to be pulled in by William.
He had just co from a drawn-out eting that had given him a headache. He didn’t appreciate the conservative thinking of so old-tirs at the company.
“I just felt like holding you and you ca here. Cherish, don’t you think our hearts beat as one?”
William tried to tease her, but on hearing the nickna ‘Cherish’ again, she blew her top!
“William, can you please not call
‘Cherish’. I don’t like that na!”
With that, she flung off William’s hand and jumped back a step.
William’s eyes narrowed ominously, seemingly trying to figure out the reason for her sudden outburst.
“Being disobedient again?” He asked, annoying Cherish even further.
“William, can you not be like this? I’m not being disobedient, I’m not a child! I don’t like labels like ‘obedient’ or ‘misbehaving’. If I don’t like the nickna, then I don’t like it.”
Although she seed resolute, it caused William to visibly darken his expression.
At that mont, Thomas’s call ca in. On the other end of the line, he asked for his boss’s opinion, “Boss, reception called to say that a Mr. Peacock from Kyoto City wants to see you. What should I do?”
Mr. Peacock from Kyoto City? Who else could it be besides Daniel Peacock?
William glanced at the inexplicably sulky Cherish before saying, “Let him in.”
“Yes, boss.”
–
After a lot of inquiry, Daniel Peacock found out that the plot of land in the west of the city, had been snatched by Griffith Group. The president of Griffith Group, wasn’t he the new love interest Cherish had ntioned?
Every ti Daniel thought about that day at the mall, when William’s possessiveness towards Cherish had been unmistakably strong, he couldn’t help feeling a surge of displeasure!
