Chapter 900: 899 Dream Co True

The Vince Lombardi Trophy has made its appearance.

Escorted by Joe Namath, the legendary quarterback of the New York Jets and winner of the third Super Bowl. This year marks fifty years since Namath’s Super Bowl triumph, and next year will be the fiftieth anniversary of the Kansas City Chiefs’ first Super Bowl victory.

This is precisely why Namath was chosen to escort the championship trophy tonight.

The Kansas City Chiefs players bustled about, lined up on both sides, welcoming Namath and the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

Oh oh oh… hey!

Oh oh oh… hey!

They began creating waves of sound, rising and falling, and again rising and falling, with each person reaching out to try and touch the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

Namath understood this feeling well, so he slightly slowed his pace, trying to let everyone experience the warmth of the championship trophy.

Chris Jones stood quietly on the outskirts of the crowd, looking a bit shy.

A little anticipation, a little curiosity, but ultimately hesitating out of nerves and shyness, his feet refused to move forward.

Even though this was Jones’s second ti, it still didn’t feel real. When he turned his head, he saw Kendall Fuller standing dazed and absent-mindedly in place.

Drafted into the league in 2016, but traded during the third year of his rookie contract, Fuller’s journey seed to signal that the Washington Redskins didn’t see much of a future in him. For Fuller, this was a hardship; yet, against all odds, he found himself standing atop the world with the Kansas City Chiefs.

This journey has indeed been insane.

Jones and Fuller exchanged glances, mutually recognizing the embarrassnt in each other’s deanor, and couldn’t help but laugh softly.

At that mont, both of them felt a force on their backs. They turned around to see Li Wei’s smiling face. “You guys can try touching it; it doesn’t bite, I promise.”

After speaking, Li Wei gave them a gentle push on their backs, then moved forward without lingering.

Jones hesitated slightly but couldn’t resist the anticipation and took a small step forward.

Tyreek Hill and Sammy Watkins were already welcoming the Vince Lombardi Trophy. When they turned and saw Jones, both instantly extended their welco. Jones reached out his hand and touched the silver trophy.

Imdiately after, another hand, unable to resist its yearning, stretched out to touch the trophy just before Namath continued forward—

It was Fuller.

It’s nothing more than a trophy, not the legendary Holy Grail, so logically speaking, it shouldn’t feel extraordinary. Yet, both Jones and Fuller couldn’t contain their emotions. A tangled complexity churned in their chests, slipping out uncontrollably and exploding into cheers.

Pure. Intense.

It was as if they had returned to childhood, that ti of simple happiness that’s so easy to grasp. Just the joy of running and shouting with friends could fill the whole afternoon with delight.

Li Wei didn’t halt his pace.

Though he yearned to stand in the crowd and celebrate together with his teammates, as offensive team captain, he had a responsibility to fulfill.

He patted Patrick Mahos on the shoulder, who was standing among the laughing, cheering crowd, before moving forward to the edge of the stage, where Travis Kelce was doing his quirky dance moves while Justin Houston and Eric Berry stood nearby, laughing and clapping gleefully. Together, they prepared to ascend the stage to receive their second championship trophy in two years.

Mahos left the crowd but kept his eyes fixed on Namath, who was slowly approaching the podium. Leaning slightly toward Li Wei, he spoke with wonder, “Can you believe it? We really defended our title?”

Everything feels like a dream.

Even as they waited at the edge of the podium and many Kansas City Chiefs players had already touched the Vince Lombardi Trophy, the mont still didn’t feel real.

Vivid mories ca rushing back—offseason upheavals, tearful goodbyes, navigating hopes and setbacks, and facing a brand-new season. These scenes felt as if they had just happened yesterday.

Then, they recalled the mont Alex Smith ultimately decided to step aside, giving way for young Mahos to rise. Mahos, filled with anticipation, simultaneously experienced a mix of sorrow, uncertainty, nervousness, and bitterness. Together, they had gazed up at the stars, dreaming of the future and imagining a path to defending their title.

And now, the dream had co true.

Li Wei’s chest swelled with a warm, overwhelming sense of emotion. “Believe it. This is all real. We fought side by side to get here.”

Mahos broke into a wide grin, clenching his right fist and thumping it against his chest. “Fight till the end, persevere to the finish, right?”

Li Wei mirrored him, clenching his own right fist and patting his chest. “Fight till the end, persevere to the finish.”

Finally!

The Vince Lombardi Trophy was brought onto the stage.

Packed tightly together, a group of strong n cramd into the narrow podium, awaiting league commissioner Roger Goodell to present the championship trophy to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Team owner Clark Hunt, head coach Andy Reid, defensive representatives Justin Houston and Eric Berry, offensive representatives Patrick Mahos, Travis Kelce, and Li Wei—all took turns raising the Vince Lombardi Trophy high into the air as the crowd erupted in waves of celebration.

Following tradition, players began delivering their championship speeches one by one. Unexpectedly, the host skipped over Li Wei, first passing the microphone to others: from Hunt to Reid, then to Mahos.

One after another.

Assuming that the ceremony would be kept brief to save ti, it seed reasonable to let other teammates speak, considering Li Wei had already spoken last year.

But surprisingly, the host intentionally saved Li Wei for last, springing a surprise just as everyone thought the speeches were over.

“…Ladies and gentlen, you thought it was over, right? No, no, no, no, we mustn’t forget this gentleman. Nobody should miss his clever and humorous words. Once more, let’s be captivated by his charm—both on-field and off-field. Your regular season and Super Bowl MVP, Mr…”

Drawing out the last syllable, progressively building the anticipation to its peak, that stretched breath seed to vacuum all the air from the rcedes-Benz Do.

And then.

The entire crowd, unequivocally and with one voice, roared aloud.

Li Wei!

Grand. Magnificent. Overwhelming.

This treatnt was one-of-a-kind. Even legendary figures like Manning or Brady had never experienced such an atmosphere on the Super Bowl stage.

All eyes were fixated on Li Wei, eagerly watching and waiting. Millions of people, through the broadcasting caras spread across corners of the North Arican continent, converged their attention on him.

All focused on his shoulders.

Only at monts like this can one truly grasp the magnitude of the influence Li Wei has built here in a re two professional seasons.

From Travis Kelce’s hands, the Vince Lombardi Trophy was passed to Li Wei, and even the Kansas City Chiefs players couldn’t contain their excitent, egging him on and playfully teasing.

“Li Wei. Li Wei. Li Wei.”

The voices were quiet, not screams or shouts, but deeply resonant sounds simring from within their throats. These murmurs gathered into a collective energy, lifting the hot air within the rcedes-Benz Do higher and higher, sparking renewed waves of enthusiasm just as the lengthy championship speech segnt threatened to dull the spirits.

Who could possibly miss this scene?
