Chapter 736: 735 Heroes Competing for Supremacy

The playoffs are in full swing, and there’s no ti to breathe.

The first wild card ga ended, and imdiately after, on the sa Saturday, in the sa Texas, during pri ti in the evening, the second wild card ga took the stage.

This is the first ti in NFL history that Texas hosted two playoff gas on the sa day, the first in Houston and the second in Dallas.

To be precise, it was at the AT&T Stadium near Dallas in Arlington, where the National Conference’s fourth seed, the Dallas Cowboys, hosted the visiting fifth seed, the Seattle Seahawks.

“50%VS50%”

An even split, this was the wildcard ga with the closest and most intense collision, with both teams finishing the regular season with ten wins and six losses going head-to-head. Looking at the paper strength and the season’s performance, the two teams were closely matched, each with their strengths and weaknesses, and the mystery of the win depended entirely on the performance on the day, which is why the League chose this ga for the night slot.

...

The first wild card ga was disappointing, and the masses expressed that all their expectations fell on the second ga. Setting aside the outco, they hoped the Dallas Cowboys and the Seattle Seahawks could jointly deliver a thrilling match.

As expected—

The ga was extrely brutal.

Not just intense but brutal, showing with real action the thrills and fierceness of a playoff ga where bayonets clashed and the blood flowed like rivers.

The entire ga was in a continuous deadlock, with no gap opening in the offensive and defensive collision, the back and forth confrontation pervading every down and entangling all the way to the end.

For the onlookers, it was a carnival, with unanimous applause; but for fans of both teams, it was nothing short of tornt.

With just two minutes and fourteen seconds left in the ga, the Dallas Cowboys were leading by ten points, and almost everyone believed it was over, but Seahawks quarterback Wilson proved his ability once again.

A long pass attack combined with two dium pass breakthroughs took just fifty seconds to score a touchdown pass; the Seahawks then chose to go for a two-point conversion, with Wilson himself carrying the ball on the ground, and the conversion was successful.

The gap narrowed to two points at once.

At this mont, there was one minute and seventeen seconds left on the ga clock.

Carroll chose to gamble with an onside kick.

Just before the entirety of AT&T Stadium was about to suffocate, the undrafted wide receiver since 2012, Cole Beasley, beca the protagonist.

This unheralded small fry, who had served the Dallas Cowboys for six seasons and had remained an unknown, stood in the spotlight tonight, playing the superhero. In a display of sheer bravery, he controlled the Seahawks’ gamble of an onside kick, curling himself into the shape of a shrimp to protect the football—

Extinguishing the Seahawks’ hopes of a coback.

Afterward, Dallas Cowboys running back Elliott relentlessly carried the ball on the ground, running down the clock completely, and AT&T Stadium greeted the ga’s final whistle among cheers.

“22:24”.

The Dallas Cowboys advanced through a close call.

AT&T Stadium went wild, it was the Cowboys’ first playoff win since 2014, and also the first playoff victory in the Prescott-Elliott era.

After the retirent of forr quarterback Tony Romo, people proclaid that Prescott and Elliott would carry the banner of Arica’s Team, possessing the strength, talent, and potential to lead the Dallas Cowboys back to the Super Bowl summit.

Yet, it took three whole seasons, until now, for Prescott and Elliott to finally break through the first round of the playoffs together.

So, could this be the turning point for them?

Coincidentally, the season was in total chaos with opportunities everywhere. In tis of turmoil, heroes erge—who knows, maybe this year is when the Dallas Cowboys climb to the summit?

Suddenly, a variety of voices filled the air, but one began to stand out quietly and spread rapidly throughout the League—

“Perhaps, the Dallas Cowboys are this year’s Kansas City Chiefs?”

Look, the Dallas Cowboys have Prescott and Elliott, a pair of third-year players, and Kansas City Chiefs have Mahos and Li Wei, a pair of second-year players.

Both pairs joined the League together, grew together, fought together, and it was the running back who first developed and exploded in capability, bringing the quarterback along for the soaring ride.

Prescott and Mahos are both quarterbacks with excellent physical conditions and a slightly robust build who also have a certain ability to run the ball; Elliott and Li Wei are both running backs with distinctive styles and dominating presence.

Moreover, both the Dallas Cowboys and the Kansas City Chiefs have shown growth on the offensive end this season, but their Defensive groups are key elents that cannot be ignored.

All sorts of things, all sorts.

The more you analyze, the more it seems so.

When the dia posed this view to the two core mbers of the Dallas Cowboys—

Elliott appeared thoughtful, “Wait and see.”

Prescott, however, showed a sincere smile, shrugged lightly, “I wouldn’t mind eting them at the Super Bowl.” His words conveyed a powerful confidence.

However, when Li Wei was asked the sa question, he burst into laughter, “The Dallas Cowboys are the Dallas Cowboys, that’s Arica’s Team! Would you like to compare yourself with Captain Arica? God, I hope that doesn’t happen; that would be a nightmare.”

Is this modesty, or sarcasm?

“All we need to focus on now is the divisional ga. That’s all there is to it. As for the next step, please don’t give any spoilers,” Li Wei said with a smile, handling the question with ease, deflecting the Super Bowl subject skillfully.

He also avoided the Dallas Cowboys subject.

The subtext is… are the Dallas Cowboys being overly confident by looking forward to the Super Bowl after just winning a wildcard ga? Shouldn’t they at least advance to the next round before that?

The barbs hidden in the words are left for the general public to interpret.

But at least, one thing Li Wei is right about is focusing on the present; that’s the correct way to approach the playoffs.

On January 6th, Sunday, the wildcard ga battles continue.

In the afternoon, the Philadelphia Eagles will challenge the Chicago Bears on the road.

This ga is whimsically called the “Reed Bowl” by the dia because Pederson and Nagy, two disciples of Reed, are set to face off against each other, as well as a collision between two forr Offensive Coordinators of the Kansas City Chiefs.

Last season, Pederson failed in both encounters against Reed, especially the bitter loss at the Super Bowl, which could also be seen as an indirect clash between Pederson and Nagy; now both n are in the position of head coaches, and the atmosphere is different.

In the evening, the Los Angeles Chargers will challenge the Baltimore Ravens.

Usually, this would be a clash of contradictions, but this season has seen so subtle changes. “Rivers VS Jackson,” a changeover between two quarterbacks old and new, has beco a hot topic among the dia.

From an analysis of on-paper strength, the Baltimore Ravens, still possessing defensive heritage and having found successors on offense, hold a slight advantage.

But this is the playoffs, and anything can happen.

Moreover, let’s not forget that in terms of seed rankings, the Baltimore Ravens are fourth, and the Los Angeles Chargers are fifth, but the latter is the team with the second-best record in the Arican League this season, behind the Kansas City Chiefs, and is also the most troubleso team in the wildcard gas.

The outco is unpredictable.
