Li Wei noticed Brittany, but he didn’t think she wanted to talk to him, bluntly lumping him in with Kelsey in the category of “bad influences who led Mahos astray.” She clearly didn’t want to hear any defenses for Mahos, not even sparing a glance in his direction.

But, since Brittany had asked, Li Wei gestured resolutely, “Of course, no problem.”
Waiting for Brittany to catch up, Li Wei slightly adjusted his jogging pace and continued on from his doorstep.

Brittany, “I didn’t kick him out. We had a huge fight, and he packed his things and left on his own. I never asked him to leave.”

Actually, Li Wei didn’t want to interfere. It’s hard for a clean official to break up a family feud, and he didn’t want to get involved in Mahos’ romantic relationship, as it was too complicated.

Brittany, “He didn’t reply, that’s true; but at the sa ti he didn’t delete them, and he didn’t block her either. That photo has been on his phone all this ti, so you can imagine what he might have used those photos for.”

Brittany, “You’re asking to forgive him.”
Li Wei laughed, “Heh.”
Brittany didn’t understand.
Li Wei waved his hand, “I’m not prepared to tell you what you should do.”
“Believe , if I were in my right mind, I wouldn’t want to get involved in your love life. I’m quite content with the current position of my hairline and would rather not see it receding any ti soon.”
The half-serious, half-joking tone made Brittany inevitably laugh.
“Pfft.”
A burst of laughter lightened the atmosphere slightly.
