Chapter 683: The Ultimate Test
Fearing the sudden silence most—
Arrowhead Stadium, unusually quiet, not a hint of positivity.
At this mont, fans listening to the live broadcast on the radio collectively dumbstruck, their hearts stopped beating, not one daring to believe their ears.
Could it be, a Wanfu Mary had killed them?
Could it be, the Kansas City Chiefs suffered their third last-minute defeat this season?
It can’t be…
...
Then.
Boom!
A thunderous cheer erupted from the radio, earth-shattering and effortlessly powerful.
“Soar!”
“Soar!”
Again and again, the soul-stirring energy was palpably transmitted even through the radio waves, as the comntator’s praise unfurled like rapid-fire, sweeping across Kansas City.
They hadn’t repeated the sa mistake—
Once is an accident, twice a coincidence, but not a third ti.
Faced with the sa fate, the Kansas City Chiefs refused to experience a third loss this season.
“Spectacular!”
“Spectacular, truly so, so spectacular.”
“The Kansas Chiefs Defense showed top-notch performance at a critical mont, in no way inferior to the Baltimore Ravens Defense. With an absolutely tough and resolute stance, they firmly pinned down the Baltimore Ravens Offense’s last attempt. Jackson and Edwards couldn’t find any opening.”
“Lamar Jackson, at a critical mont, still exposed his fatal flaw of lacking ga experience. A rookie is a rookie, after all. This must be his first real shock in the League since he joined.”
“Whether it’s situational judgnt or on-the-spot observation, crisis managent, or passing fundantals, there is a comprehensive shortcoming. He was completely lost amidst the efficient and precise strategy of the Kansas City Chiefs Defense. This young man has just begun his journey to beco a qualified quarterback in the League.”
“Of course, it’s the sa with Patrick Mahos.”
“As the Baltimore Ravens’ attempt at a Wanfu Mary ended with an incomplete pass, the regular ga ti ran out entirely, not giving the Kansas Chiefs Offense another chance to take the field. The match is about to enter an even more thrilling and brutal overti.”
“If I rember correctly, this is Li Wei’s first overti since entering the NFL, and throughout this season, Kansas City has been constantly tested against top teams.”
“But this is normal.”
“As reigning champions, those top teams have realized Kansas City’s capabilities and threat. They have their targeted defensive strategies ready for key monts, keeping rhythm and status. The Chiefs’ gas will inevitably face more challenges, which was predictable from the start of the season.”
“And now, the ultimate test is here.”
“Overti!”
“Looking at the entire ga, the defensive groups of both the Baltimore Ravens and the Kansas City Chiefs have been playing a leading role, their grasp over rhythm, situation, and tactics poses many challenges to the opposing offenses.”
“Despite that, both teams scored twenty-four points, a testant to the powerful offensive firepower of the young offenses; but it also highlights that the defensive groups have control over the baseline of this ga, which will be key in overti.”
“NFL overti is sowhat luck-based; the team to score a touchdown first kills the ga; the team to kick a field goal first can also seize the advantage.”
“Ball possession is critical.”
“According to the rules, offense dominates overti; but looking back at today’s ga, the offensive group repeatedly ca back empty handed in the face of the opponent’s ticulous defense. In an even more fierce and close overti, the performance of the defensive group could very well determine the victory.”
Blah blah blah.
Delivering non-stop, Nantz entered a whole new state.
The reason is quite simple, overti is akin to a total reset; but the crucial point here is that this isn’t a new beginning, nor is it a brand new ga. It’s a fresh confrontation forced back to square one after an intense and drawn-out battle, and you can imagine the level of intensity.
Not just the players, but comntators too need to perk up, take a deep breath, and then start all over again.
A bit of nervousness, a bit of excitent, a bit of weariness, a bit of exhilaration.
Before the ga, they had anticipated a fierce battle; but the actual encounter surpassed expectations, with a collision so riveting, it was a contest with no dull monts.
More fascinating and engaging than “Kansas City Chiefs vs New England Patriots”, more so than “Kansas City Chiefs vs Los Angeles Rams”, because the content of the ga was richer and more layered, from offense to defense, and then back to offense, with a dazzling array of tactics that were versatile and varied.
Both teams displayed top form, and the League hadn’t seen such a comprehensive ga in a very long ti.
Next, this spectacular ga will move into overti, raising the intensity to a new level, possibly fighting tooth and nail until everything’s turned upside down, possibly stopping abruptly just when it’s least expected, perhaps succumbing to disaster due to continuous mistakes—
Anything is possible.
The Baltimore Ravens have had several no-quarter overtis with the Pittsburgh Steelers over the years, but it remains to be seen if these tough experiences will be the key for Harbaugh’s team to change the tide,
Just the thought makes Nantz unable to contain his excitent and eagerness, a tangle of emotions so overwhelming that even the seasoned Nantz struggles with himself.
“Now, as nightfall gently descends, the wind begins to pick up at Arrowhead Stadium, with temperatures dropping. On one hand, the cold weather could affect the players’ state; on the other, the wind direction could impact the quality of the passes. It’s still unknown if this will beco an unforeseen factor in overti.”
“But what’s more important is that after such a high-intensity ga, players from both teams are facing tests of stamina, and the risk of injuries is climbing with every play, adding even more unpredictability to overti.”
“The team captains from both teams are now taking the field, ready for the coin toss. Representing the Baltimore Ravens is Saggs, and for the Kansas City Chiefs, it’s…Li Wei.”
“Oh, it’s not Houston, but Li Wei.”
“Cheers start to rise from Arrowhead Stadium, rooting for their brand-new team leader.”
The players have entered the field.
Drenched in sweat, Saggs glares nacingly, locking his predatory gaze on Li Wei. From the very mont they faced each other, an overwhelming presence was unleashed—
Overti, is not just about luck, but also about montum.
When a ga reaches such a mont, actual skill takes a backseat; the real key lies in montum. It becos more of a ntal battle than a physical or skill-based clash, to see who is stronger, more resilient, and more decisive.
In this regard, having gone through nurous “Steel Raven Battles,” Saggs surely knows this all too well; crawling out from countless bloody battles and heaps of bones. In comparison, the often underperforming Kansas Chiefs of recent years are at a distinct disadvantage, not to ntion Reed’s lack of such experience.
As soon as he stepped onto the field, Saggs had already begun the mind gas.
But what about Li Wei?
With a smile on his face and an air of ease about him, curiosity and freshness gleaming in his eyes, he made no effort to hide his greenness, listening attentively to the referee’s explanation of the rules—
Completely ignoring Saggs.
Co on, who listens to the referee’s drivel before overti starts?
Looking at Li Wei’s content expression as if he were out on an excursion, participating in so sort of guessing ga, Saggs who intended to dominate his opponent with sheer presence, was montarily lost for words.
What the hell kind of strategy is this?
